Palazzo Natoli Boutique Hotel, Palermo, Sicily - Explore & Book

"In the 18th century, prolific Sicilian writer Luigi Natoli built a sumptuous abode in which he penned his most famous works. Like much of Palermo, it fell into decline until local architect Floriana resurrected it as a townhouse for guests to witness a new chapter in the city's revival. Slap bang in the pulsing heart of Palermo, you can enjoy this gritty city from the comfort of Palazzo Natoli's 11 sumptuous rooms - or its separate apartment-for-two. The hotel is modern first and foremost, with plush beds and mod cons, but tasteful antiques and gilded mirrors give a nod to former grandeur. There's nothing historic about the bright cafe, however, which pays homage to local organic produce. Palermo is shaking the dust off its recent past and this is clearly embodied in the optimistic energy of the city. It has the history and grandeur to match any other in Europe, but there’s something a little different in the air. Pop-up bars and galleries breathe life into crumbling palazzi, and a hodgepodge of influence from all over the Med creates a surprisingly offbeat atmosphere on the street. It all feels like a work in progress, and the staff's positive energy about this fabled city is infectious. Highs Location! You can roll out of the door straight into the historic sights but are peacefully tucked away off the main thoroughfare Most rooms have chandeliers and frescoed ceilings, echoing its illustrious past Genuine effort goes into lavish breakfasts (extra kudos for the local produce) The staff were exceptionally helpful and are a wealth of local information, helping you to get under the skin of the city The apartment is great for those staying longer: it has a kitchen and patio garden Lows Lacks communal space or a roof terrace to relax on summer evenings The décor is polished and smart, though lacks a little bit of colour The Classic rooms are a bit small, but the balcony lets in plenty of natural light While children of all ages are welcome, it’s probably best suited to couples No lift" - Ben Reed

"Palermo’s lovely Palazzo Natoli bears the name of the 18th-century marquis for whom it was built, as well as that of the famous novelist who came later in the family line. History, it goes without saying, seeps from every corner of this magnificent house, and indeed from the whole of the neighborhood, close to the cathedral, along the Via Vittorio Emanuele. In its present incarnation, however, it’s a surprisingly contemporary and satisfyingly luxurious boutique hotel, its interiors designed in that inimitably Italian contemporary-meets-classic manner." - Tablet Hotels

Wonderful boutique hotel. On arrival they had prepared a great map highlighting the best rooftop bar, the best place for arincini etc etc. and all the recommendations were excellent. We stayed in the garden room which is close by the hotel sharing a small courtyard with another room. Breakfast was delicious but really slow, assume you need an hour! The location is brilliant, close to the main sights, we walked everywhere and an easy walk from the train station if you come from the airport on the train. Great hotel!

Rooms were clean & roomy; service was impeccable! Everyone from ladies at front desk to all other staff were very kind, assisted w transportation, recommendations…etc. Breakfast was lovely and whatever staff could do to accommodate your needs were ,et as best as possible. Location is great & safe area. Access to shopping, dinning, & taxi transport. Only draw back…no elevator. You must climb up roomy flights of stairs to get to most rooms. Above all, I would def recommend to other travelers.

My Fiancee and I stayed just one night, and the hotel made us wish we stayed more! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they booked dinner for us at their recommended spot (very good), and arranged a car the next day to get us to the airport. The room was absolutely gorgeous, with crown molding. Great location; in the center of it all, but high up enough where you don’t hear much street noise. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Palermo!

This is a charming boutique hotel, very centrally located and with huge, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. All the staff were friendly, helpful and hugely welcoming. The breakfast room is small and your time & options need to be pre-booked but the choice was fantastic and the food excellent - certainly all we needed. Would highly recommend for a city break in Palermo.

I recently spent two nights at this lovely hotel. While I booked five months ahead, only one room was left, the classic room which unfortunately is definitely the worst room in the very small hotel. However, returning, I would hope to secure one of the other rooms -and from what I saw, they are lovely.||The hotel is in the best location in Palermo-right off the main street and close to all the major sights. Yet, it was very quiet.||The people working there are absolutely wonderful-warm and helpful. They could not have been nicer. Even before my stay they were amazing.||I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a wonderful experience in Palermo.|And may I add, Palermo is fabulous!

They have a valet parking for $20 cash per day.|The room was spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking the main street.|For the breakfast, you have to reserve a time slot because the room is small.|The breakfast was mediocre.

We were very pleased with our two-day stay at Palazzo Natoli. From the first contact, there was a clarity and ease to communication. The various people working at the front desk during our stay were among the most helpful hotel staff I've encountered. The small size of the place allows this sort of careful service. The breakfast (which you order ahead) was excellent. The location was also excellent, right off of the main street and just a few minutes from the Cathedral, Quattro Canti, and the Palace. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Truly an amazing find. The staff was so accommodating, helpful, and patient. The service was top notch. A special thanks to Elisha who truly made our stay particularly memorable for my entire family. She was such a pleasure to talk to and made this the leg of our trip to Italy the most memorable.
