A few additional touches and minor repairs would have made this a five-star review. For example, our toilet seat is broken, light bulbs need replacing in the overhead light, one of the bedside lamps is missing from it's wall mount, and there is no bedside table on either side of the bed. The deadbolt lock on the door is also not functional, and one of the louvered window shutters will not open.. The room we're in has very plain decor no pictures or wallpaper on the wall as depicted in other reviews. There is no breakfast, so I'm not sure why they call this a b&b, but the location is convenient, just on the outskirts of the main part of the city. It is within walking distance. The bed is comfortable and the linens are clean and crisp, however.

My sister and I traveled through Italy and ended up in Firenze as the last stop. We stayed at B & B Santa Maria del Fiore and were pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Pietro, the owner was there to greet us and gave us a map along with some wonderful suggestions on self guided tours and restaurants. I liked that it was not in the center of the old city so it was quiet, yet you only had to walk 10+ min to get to the middle of everything. Every morning we were greeted by a small breakfast buffet where Pietro offered croissants, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee, hard boiled eggs and a few cold cuts. The room was comfortable with a very high ceiling, a small updated bathroom, mini fridge and large windows that easily opened to the street. The B&B is right off of an easy to find and navigate piazza so we could easily find our way around. Would definitely stay there again if I am lucky enough to visit Firenze in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights at this B&B and had a very pleasant time. The B&B is far enough from all the touristy places so it is very calm and has good local restaurants around. It is also near enough from the city center (20 minutes walks to the Cathedrale) so it's easy to explore the old town of Florence. Our hosts were very kind and helpful, who gave us all the information we need. The place itself is new, modern and spotlessly clean, breakfast was decent, and good cappucchino was offered by the host. We'll definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place to everyone who visit Florence

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Florence . This B&B was a little perplexing...it basically only delivered on one B...the room. As clean and spacious and with a fabulous high powered shower.. In our 3 night stay...our shower gel that lasted barely one day ...was never replaced nor the sliver of soap. The room service was immaculate but this detail was lacking. Needless to say..we bought our own. Now going back to the establishment: the breakfast part has been somehow eliminated..I presume due to COVID. I recommend that this detail needs to be highlighted on their website as it is hugely misleading. Check in is done at another establishment where we left our car (€25 a day). The B&(B) is situated in an apartment building, on the first floor ( lift is for residents only?) thankfully we were able to schlep our bags up and down. You enter via key card ( as entry to building) and you are greeted by no one....the a/c set on freezing your butt off . Like I said, the room delivers on all aspects of cleanliness and spaciousness but I am finicky about the details...where the devil resides. So make some amendments regarding what you are paying for and that breakfast is not included in the price let alone THE PREMISES . If you are ok with this...I recommend it .

Our planned trip to Italy once more entailed travel from Pisa to Venice, covering Florence, Siena, Assis & Verona. My daughter was regularly browsing through all booking engines as early as January to get good places to suit our accommodation needs.||||It was quite by accident that she came across this family run unit & perhaps our second stay in a B&B.||So we were booked in at B&B Maria del Fiore through the booking.com engine.||||Getting off at the Florence Maria del Fiore station we took a taxi to the hotel. It was a long drive , most roads being one way crowded cobblestone narrow roads||Finally we passed a prominent junction where we spotted a Swaroski shop, tram stop and a cafe . Then in no time the vehicle stopped and we were told that we had arrived at our destination.||||It was from outside a very large long building and we sighted a small board with the name of our booking. The August summer heat was on & amidst our several bags , we rang the bell. Promptly there was a unlocking sound and we pushed ourselves through the door and one by one moved our baggage into the building. The door closed & a very pleasant gentleman came down the long stairway and gave us a warm greeting. He introduced himself as Pietro the owner of the place. We walked up the stairs with Pietro carrying two of the heaviest bags.||||We then entered a small reception desk . The cool atmosphere inside was refreshing. Initial check in preliminaries were carried out including maps & places of interest around . ||||We were shown into a deluxe triple room. The ambiance was great. Spotlessly clean large room with a king size bed & a smaller bed by the side, a cupboard cum clothes section, a table to work , kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The toilet too was quite large & looked very clean and new.||||Soon we moved out to check on the surrounding & were so pleased that there were shops to a supermarket, tram stations and many more around the place ||||We visited museums such as academia, uffuzi, on foot, in the shade of tall buildings on either side & through small alleys||||We took the tram to Ponte vecchio bridge & the grand Maria del Fiore cathedral & Lorrenzo market.||||Breakfast and tea coffee was served in a small room next to our room. Pietro made every effort to make our stay comfortable and cosy. Having stayed at many hotels we much appreciated his personal interest taken to make guests feel happy.||I believe, besides the central locality of the place , the warmth and extra effort taken by Pietro & family to ensure comfort of guests has brought in very high scores in guest reviews ||||We too will be visiting Pietro & B&B Maria del Fiore again in September this year .||Waiting impatiently to enjoy that great ambience once again

Totally Amazed!!!! So clean,so modern.our two days stay in Florence was amazing.very nice decor,we got everything we needed and of course a good wifi connection too!! Very beautiful n safe neighbourhood-highly recommend. The person who run the place was very nice & friendly.breakfast was included in our stay .the owners wife baked yummy cake for us in breakfast.there is a little balcony outside in the dining room .|| Only negative 👎🏻 point was that it is on 2nd floor with no elevator,so as we were group of 8 had big big bags ,it created a fuss to carry the luggage to the apartment.|| But overall this place has won our hearts 💕 As in Italy 🇮🇹-it was totally "PERFETTO 😊
