Our planned trip to Italy once more entailed travel from Pisa to Venice, covering Florence, Siena, Assis & Verona. My daughter was regularly browsing through all booking engines as early as January to get good places to suit our accommodation needs.||||It was quite by accident that she came across this family run unit & perhaps our second stay in a B&B.||So we were booked in at B&B Maria del Fiore through the booking.com engine.||||Getting off at the Florence Maria del Fiore station we took a taxi to the hotel. It was a long drive , most roads being one way crowded cobblestone narrow roads||Finally we passed a prominent junction where we spotted a Swaroski shop, tram stop and a cafe . Then in no time the vehicle stopped and we were told that we had arrived at our destination.||||It was from outside a very large long building and we sighted a small board with the name of our booking. The August summer heat was on & amidst our several bags , we rang the bell. Promptly there was a unlocking sound and we pushed ourselves through the door and one by one moved our baggage into the building. The door closed & a very pleasant gentleman came down the long stairway and gave us a warm greeting. He introduced himself as Pietro the owner of the place. We walked up the stairs with Pietro carrying two of the heaviest bags.||||We then entered a small reception desk . The cool atmosphere inside was refreshing. Initial check in preliminaries were carried out including maps & places of interest around . ||||We were shown into a deluxe triple room. The ambiance was great. Spotlessly clean large room with a king size bed & a smaller bed by the side, a cupboard cum clothes section, a table to work , kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The toilet too was quite large & looked very clean and new.||||Soon we moved out to check on the surrounding & were so pleased that there were shops to a supermarket, tram stations and many more around the place ||||We visited museums such as academia, uffuzi, on foot, in the shade of tall buildings on either side & through small alleys||||We took the tram to Ponte vecchio bridge & the grand Maria del Fiore cathedral & Lorrenzo market.||||Breakfast and tea coffee was served in a small room next to our room. Pietro made every effort to make our stay comfortable and cosy. Having stayed at many hotels we much appreciated his personal interest taken to make guests feel happy.||I believe, besides the central locality of the place , the warmth and extra effort taken by Pietro & family to ensure comfort of guests has brought in very high scores in guest reviews ||||We too will be visiting Pietro & B&B Maria del Fiore again in September this year .||Waiting impatiently to enjoy that great ambience once again
