As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the amazing Vivian. She is a source of everything Rotorua. She offered us a tea or coffee, pulled out a local map, and started to help plot some of our pre organized experiences into a logical order with add ons including the wonderful Memorial Grove Redwood walk which is very close to her lodging. She made suggestions of places to eat, and other opportunities in the area. We were only there for two nights but Vivian made us feel like family. Each morning she sat with us through breakfast and e enjoyed our conversations and interactions with her and other guests. When we had to leave early on our day of departure, it was no problem for Vivian to get up early and make sure we left after a good breakfast. |The room we stayed in had everything we needed. Having such an attentive host made our stay even more remarkable.

This was a nice B&B stay at in Rotorua. It’s within walking distance walking distance of the redwood forest, which is about a 10 minute walk. A half decent restaurant about 5 mins away. Lots of restaurants are downtown, which you have to drive. Vivien is a very nice host. We would stay there again!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the bnb @ Redwoods! We stayed here for a few nights on our honeymoon. We were initially drawn to the location because it is within walking distance to the Redwoods, but were delighted to know that this is a true bnb experience. When arriving at the bnb we were greeted by the warm and welcoming Vivian. She offered us a hot tea and coffee on our arrival while she got to know us and showed us our room. She sat us down and reviewed some of the best places to go in Rotorua after getting to know what we were looking do while we were there. She is so knowledgeable about the area and willing to share all the local knowledge. She gave us our space to relax and go explore the area. In the morning, she had a wonderful breakfast for us with wide varieties of food. It was so nice to visit with Vivian and the few other guests at the bnb. We shared stories of travel and it was a very nice, comfortable experience. The room and shared spaces are very clean and the views of the backyard were quaint and peaceful. We would absolutely book Vivian’s place again and really enjoyed the “homey” feel of this bnb!

A very cosy accomodation, but the Highlight Light is Viviane. Right on arrival she overwhemled us with proposals how to fill the day. It was great. An after a rich breakfast ee started our tour. We had long interesting conversations about a variety of topics and time flew by ... we really enjoyed the stay.

Seeking a bed for the night in a busy Rotorua, we happened on The Redwoods which was in walking distance of the forest. The hostess, Vivien, couldn’t have been more accommodating and even rearranged bedrooms so we could stay two nights. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable and a lovely breakfast was served in the mornings. Vivien also guided us on local tourist attractions and happily booked some up for us. Highly recommended.||Pam and Steve. U.K.

B&B @ The Redwoods was wonderful! A true "B and B" with a knowledgeable, engaging host (Vivien) and a lovely breakfast. Our room had a small deck and sitting area-- lots of birdsong! The location was great, and Vivien had lots of good recommendations regarding dining and activities. Highly recommend!

Perfect location to the Redwoods. Easily walkable which makes it really convenient. Vivien was an awesome host. She made sure to tell us where to go and what to see and has fast pass tickets to almost everything. She also went out and beyond making our trip super special by making my husband a cheesecake for his birthday, with balloons, chocolates and bubbles!! Could not have asked for a better stay.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the B&B @ The Redwoods. Vivien is such a lovely host. Upon arrival, she greeted us and gave us a tour of her inlaw suite downstairs. We had the whole downstairs to ourselves, and it was more than enough room for the two of us. Our bedroom was very cozy, nicely decorated, ensuite included, and the bed was very comfortable. I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow. She also has a lovely living/dining space downstairs, where we enjoyed tea, coffee, and a variety of delicious New Zealand fruits. Our breakfast was also a superb layout complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, yogurt, and of course more kiwi and other local fruits! Thank you, Vivien, for introducing us to feijoas!!! We were looking for them everywhere we went after our stay with you. Vivien was also super helpful when we were trying to decide what to do during our stay in Rotorua. She made some great suggestions based on what we wanted to experience, gave us some coupons (score!), helped us plan out our itinerary, and even directed us to an amazing Chinese restaurant for dinner that specialized in amazing authentic hand-pulled noodles (which I was also obsessed with). YUM!!! I can't imagine our trip in Rotorua to have been any better, and it's largely thanks to our wonderful host who took great care of us. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Vivian has a great facility and truly takes care of all the details, from confirmation of booking via e-mail to sitting down with us on arrival with afternoon tea and welcome recommendations about must-see local sites and eateries. Her rooms were spacious and well appointed for a couple and baggage. The rooms are en suite which makes life very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat as it was a la carte and on our schedule. A superb stay in Rotorua!
