B&B Theatres Liberty Cinema 12

Went to the movies for the first time in a long time. Ticket prices have gone up quite a bit. Our experience was good. The seats did seem to be peeling and as we left both my husband and I noticed flakes of the chair material on our backs and necks. The popcorn was good.

As a constant movie-goer (someone who is in a theater at least 5 times a month), I love going to the movies. B&B Theaters website used to be so easy to use and I could buy movie tickets with ease, but that is not the case anymore. Ever since B&B changed their website, buying tickets is almost impossible! You cannot use free movie tickets that you get emails about from B&B on their website. You cannot use gift cards on their website because the website will not accept them. Logging in to your Backstage pass account is way too difficult now too. Half the time your account won't even load and be accepted when trying to buy movie tickets. I have reached out to B&B customer service multiple times in the past and they say there is nothing they can do. In conclusion, when they overhauled the website and changed how it worked, they made it completely unusable. BOB BAGBY, PLEASE CHANGE THE WEBSITE BACK TO WHAT IT ONCE WAS! Until then, I will be going to AMC. They have better deals on movie tickets (50% off tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) (You can also get AMC A-List, in which you pay $20 a month and get 5 free movie tickets EVERY WEEK, HUGE DEAL). Their website actually WORKS too. To the B&B Theaters worker who has to read this, you know how to reach me.

The theater experience was phenomenal. The seats were very comfortable and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The popcorn was disappointing though. I can make that level at my house - at least there was free regular though.

We have been to this theatre more times than I can count as we are Liberty residents. When it opened it was a crown jewel. Amazing amenities. But the newness has unfortunately worn off a bit. Really all is still excellent except the seating. I can't remember the last time I had a seat where the heater worked. They need to start refreshing and replacing seats to maintain the premium experience they are known for. Just seems to be going down hill a bit 😕

We came to see Jurrasic World Rebirth in MX4D. The special effects with the wind and air along with the moving seats was really fun. Definitely a cool experience.

We were disappointed with this theater. We bought tickets for the play theater, thinking it would be perfect for kids. But as soon as the movie started, the lights went down, the volume went way up, and kids weren’t allowed to play anymore. It ended up feeling just like a regular theater and not at all toddler friendly. If the play theater is meant for children, it would make much more sense to keep the play areas open, dim the lights less, and lower the volume. Great idea with terrible execution.

We went to see Escape From Extension, which was a real eye opener for our animals. You don’t realist how important our “accredited” zoo’s are, until you catch a glimpse of this biography. It was great to be back in a movie theater. They have popcorn they give you from the counter and you get to put your own butter on top along with other seasonings. Self serve is the best. Pro tip: take a small tub/bucket so you can dump you popcorn I to it and season it all. They sell popcorn buckets on Amazon. Theater is very nice and has a restaurant attached to it. Very clean, great location with recliner seats. They also have seat warmers!!!! Loved this place. The sinks in the bathroom have their own unique setup, which I’ve never seen. Your own auto soap on the left, water in the middle and gander dryer on the right. Clever!

We went to the Kpop Demon Hunters Singalong this past weekend. The mainlobby area was clean and the staff was polite. We purchased our tickets online and used the kiosk to print them. The main feature that I loved was the seating. The chair were amazing. Squishy and they reclined to the point you were laying down. We were up closer so we did not have to crane our necks to watch the movie. We will be returning!

The staff was very helpful, polite, and they helped us in a pinch when it wasn't expected. I appreciate the kindness shared on Thanksgiving day and recommend this theater!

I had an absolute amazing time here! I arrived an hour early with the impression the theatre would be packed due to the new movie premiering that night. I was wrong lol it was not busy at all. With that being said I went to explore Johnny Jazz Bar until it was time for the movie to start. Once I entered into the theatre I was completely thrown off! I had no idea B&B had an option for lounge chairs style seats! And I had no idea I picked this particular seats, best mistake ever lol! Overall experience 10/10. If you haven't been to a B&B theater I highly recommend giving it a try. They are all over so check to see where they are located where you live.

Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. The seats recline back for a nice comfy movie. Bathroom was kinda congested-didn't seem like a lot of stalls and I heard a couple ladies saying their stall was out of TP.

Very nice place! clean and well kept, friendly staff, nice bathrooms, free refills and comfortable seats !! I will definitely be coming back because there's a bar and grill inside i didn't get to try!

While the theater offers many different movie watching experiences, not all rooms are created equal! I saw the new Jurassic Park movie in theater 12. My seat was broken and completely worn out. The reclining buttons were missing and the cover was thread bare. The seats also stunk. I might have to reevaluate returning to my favorite theater franchise. They just don't seem to care about the movie goers experience or comfort anymore.

Comfy space!! But movie picture stopped before end of show and several people tried to get help. I called their phone.

Bait and switch pricing!!! They advertise $6.00 movie tickets on Tuesdays, but when you go to purchase your tickets you find that they base their ticket prices on which theater the movie is being showed in. Our particular movie was not being shown in the $6.00/per ticket theater. Our tickets were over $8.00 per ticket! How convenient! We had not been to this theater in years and after this little bait and switch we won't be back! Pretty sleazy!!!!!!!

This was our first big screen movie experience in over a year and a half thanks to the covid and a move from the late, great Portland, OR. We saw F9 on their "Giant" screen and it was a great experience. The screen is in fact giant, the sound system will shake your seat, and the recliners are very comfortable. The theater is easy enough to navigate and help is friendly. However, there is a serious deficit in that you have to step away with your popcorn to salt and/or butter it. Since you don't have an opportunity to do it at the point of purchase you can either take the container and apply condiments from the top and suffer through bland popcorn once you've eaten the top layer. Alternatively you can have the server fill it partially, leave the counter to dress it as you wish then go back and have more popcorn added which requires another trip across the room and so on. It seems such a small thing but it is in fact a serious pain. Especially so if the theater is busy. Pro tips: 1) if you're a fan of Coke products forget about it - this theater is Pepsi all the way. 2) Apple Pay is not an option. Implement a solution by which customers don't have to choose between dry popcorn or schlepping it to a condiment station and back and this theater gets a solid 5 stars here.

My girlfriend and I enjoy this theater quite a bit. The theater has a nice vibe to it. Looks clean inside and out and the seats are comfy leather seats that recline and have the option for heat that will nicely warm up your lower back. Plenty of aisle room as well so no need to get up when others are filing in.

Sorry I didn't post any pics but I will next time I visit which is at least one a month. I won't on a Tuesday with my daughter and and her friend to see the movie Smile. Our theater was packed since it was the small one, The Lyric, but concessions weren't too busy and on Tuesdays loyalty members get $5 movie tickets and complimentary popcorn. The nachos are $10 basically with tax but I get them everytime. The movie was good, theater and bathrooms were clean sound was good. But what really made the movie almost unbearable was the insects flying around during the movie. I don't know how many there were but it really distracted from the movie. Took away the some jump scares, and the plot. These bugs were bothering everyone in the theater. It was like we were under attack! They need to get this fixed ASAP or I'm sure they will lose business over it. I'm going to send this to the theater as well. This location is nice but as of right now, bring your bug spray or mosquito net!

Hello Liberty Newly and Upgraded Theater! This place is beautiful and I had a chance to check out the Grand Screen X. They were playing Meg (which is a good shark movie) and the screen is so wide it almost wrapped around the room. Very comfortable recliner seats and it is also heated which is great for old people like me with backaches. Clean venue, their food stand is standard but love the variety of what you can put on your popcorn. They do have a bar/restrauant in the theater too. If you have kids, be sure to check out their screen play, there's a playground for them to play before the movie. One thing I didn't like about this place is parking isn't much when you go on a crowded night not even for handicapped parking. Wish they have door that automatically open at the entrance, exits and for their bathroom as well for those that are in wheelchairs or scooters. Other than that, this place is very nice. Would go back again.

A very nice state of the art movie theater. It's in a great area with lots of surrounding restaurants and shopping choices.

LOVE B&B. I had to go to another one with my sister and mom and it was ok but I jus like to be at my hometown theater! Well , close to my home town! Comforting!

I have always had an enjoyable experience at this theater. The seats are comfortable and the service at the concession stand has been consistently good.

Seats were sooooooo comfortable. Everything was great including the movie Jesus Revolution!!

I'm writing this review to compliment how the employees handled chaos yesterday! Last night I saw bobs burgers and when we left the theater a really bad storm was happening with hail and tornado sirens going off. We chose to wait. Another screening of top gun was stopped in the middle due to the storm and the employees were asking them to please stay and wait out the storm. This made quite a few of them mad and they chose to yell, curse and belittle the employees who were just trying to keep everyone safe according to their protocols. The employees handled that situation SO well and did not respond with anger back. They communicated so clearly what was going on and for the people that actually stayed through the storm had their movie resumed when it was over! I really appreciate the very well trained and caring employees.

So I have to say I am super excited to have this level of movie theater in the city I live in. Up until it opened I was typically hoofing it over to Zona Rosa for quality movie going. Well now I can drive 5 min from my house and I am there. I was blown away by the quality of theater that B&B produced. I've typically associated them as a second tier movie theater compared to the likes of local AMC. However this isn't my thoughts anymore. The lobby is gorgeous, complete with a restaurant bar area if that's your thing. The Screen X experience is where it's really at for me. While a bit pricey at around $20 a ticket, the screen, which is already a Grand Screen (one of the largest in the US) is extended onto the side walls for certain scenes in a movie. It's a really cool way to experience movie going. The reclining, leather seats, complete with heating options are awesome too! There is also a 4D max theater where you can experience the movie with additional, personal effects like smell, sounds, motion, water, etc, tailored to the movie being show. I have yet to experience this though. Also available is a kids theater complete with play area that's available for 30 min before and after the movie so your kids can run off their energy if having them sit still for 2 hours is difficult. The options of this place are endless it seems with several other things I am not writing about today like the Lyric theater inside. The only downside is the cost. You're going to spend about $5 more per ticket than say the AMC, but honestly the experience is worth it.

This is our favorite theater out of every theater we have been too! Movies have gone up in price so why not go to the best theater and see it! They have all kinds of theater choices to watch the movie in. They have awesome seats so your comfy during your show. The popcorn and food are just as expensive as your normal theater. We love taking our child here to the play screen. We recommend this theater to everyone. Don't waste your money on a boring theater when you can come here for same price and get the best experience possible! They always have awesome balloon displays for new movies too!

Very Nice move theatre, only issue was we ordered French fries & got maybe 11 very overly salty & pepper fries literally... cmon for $5...so just be prepared to spend an arm & leg like you would at a CHEIFS or ROYALS game but get wayyyyy less than you should !!!!

Very comfortable theater, they made awesome, accommodations and safety precautions for COVID-19. I really enjoyed this theater and how you can get free refills on your drinks.

One of the largest screens in the country. SO many different seating selections, screens and even ones just for the kids. The staff is always friendly. The theater is very clean and the seating has everything from recliners to lounges. The bar has amazing Jazz music playing and a great selection of hard to find liquors. I enjoy the food and their customer loyalty program.

It started off terrible and did not let up. First I was accused of sneaking into a movie because we picked our tickets up earlier. Then we went to our seats. It was not a good experience in screen 12 at 10:20pm. The bugs would not stop. My seat was full of sugar in the crease of the recliner. I could not enjoy the moving for having to fan away the bugs. It was a disgusting and sticky experience that I did not expect.

The movie theater was nice you can pick your seats they service hamburgers corn dogs nachos chicken sandwiches and more. They have seats that recliner with seat warmers I enjoyed it

This is my go to theater in the Northland. I love the reserved seating option. I also love the recliners. Once again, staff service is exemplary. The staff are more than helpful (thank you for finding and bringing me my cellphone after I left it seeing Downton Abbey [Don't judge... On either of those points.]). I feel B&B Theaters often get overlooked because KC has always been an AMC stronghold. I have to say, I prefer B&B to AMC these days on comfort, pricing, and customer service.

Heated seats?! What!? That's a first in a movie theatre for me! Looking forward to the upgraded theatre experiences next time!!

Theater lights on during the trailers and at the beginning of the 3d movie avatar movie is unacceptable and ruined the 3d effects. Several people left auditorium to advise them to turn off the lights. They need to make sure not to repeat this mistake.

As an extremely avid movie goer, I'm glad Liberty got this upgrade! I see probably 2 movies a week between here & AMC. I have to say, these recliners are far superior to AMC's Prime seating. They recline more and depending on your seat selection they have loveseat style which is perfect for snuggling. Also, these babies are equipped with what I'm sure is the best heated seat...ever. Like burn your booty off heat, in a good way. The screen X & Lyric theaters are my favorite. I've been to this theater probably 25 times now. Pro tip: order food from Johnnie's and take it into the movie. Their concessions aren't great (super sub-par movie nacho). Also, they are stupidly stingy on popcorn bags. AMC will give you a box to split popcorn or shake it up, I'm pretty sure the people at B&B concessions would sooner allow me to cut off their pinky finger with a dull knife before they would give me an extra popcorn bag (without charging me for a whole separate popcorn). I ask every single time. I'm all for turning a profit, but this is just inconvenient and frankly ridiculous in my opinion. Also, if you are ordering from Johnnie's, get there early. Even for drinks. The bar staff moves at a glacial pace & I often find them aloof to the fact that it's a weekend night and they're busy. Just tonight I say there for 12 min at the bar before someone even looked at me. All things considered, it's a nice theater. I wish they had an app like AMC for rewards and ticket purchases (instead of doing everything on their site). Also, it's cute that they say "Enjoy the magic of the movies" literally every time you finish a conversation with them - but with how many stops I have to make (ticket taker, bartender, concessions) it gets redundant. Like, I'm pretty sure I've started just saying "Ok, I'm going to go enjoy the magic of the movies now!" Surely I'm not the only one :)

The magic of the movies was ruined for my family last night. We sat next to a very nice family with 5 little kids, not even 10 minutes into the movie, management threatened to kick them out because of 'complaints from other guests'. Then proceeded to stalk and linger around the theater the entire movie. Not only was this extremely distracting but borderline racist, seeing as the family was not being disruptive, but they just so happen to be black. If you have children or are a person of color do not come to this movie theater, management chose to threaten a family to be removed (from a Disney movie might I add), because of one racist Karen's complaint. I feel horrible for the family. I can not imagine how embarrassing and hurt the parents felt having to explain to their kids why, out of all the children talking throughout the movie, they were the only ones to be asked to leave. Children talk during movies, if you can't handle that don't go see the little mermaid. Will not be returning to this movie theater regardless of convenience or comfort. I'd rather take my business where I know everyone is welcome.

They do not clean off their seats after the movies my 18 year old niece got lice from the seat. When she found out she had lice she mortifingly called them so they would know and perhaps spray the seat to prevent others from getting it- they told her "oh well nothing we can do about it". GROSS ! This was the last straw for us ! Before that they have oversold events that we have bought tickets/seats to and then get there and our seats were sold to others... Also, my daughter wanted to go to the BTS show, something went wrong with the show after they got there and they didn't offer her a refund just tickets to another show at a specific later date. When she couldn't take those tickets due having a pre-arrainged appointment for that date she was told "welp sorry" no money back.... Also very disgrunteled that they did not own up to their promises that during some football games and larger events for LHS that they would share parking space on their backlot (if they were not too busy) for some overflow purpose since their building took approx a hundred parking spaces away and all of LHS's tailgating space away. They immediately went back on their promise and are now SELLING PARKING SPACES to students so they can park there ! THAT IS REPREHENSIBLE! Now when LHS plays LNHS (our big hometown rival game) if anyone parks anywhere in their lot and goes they are towed away... They do not stick to their word- not a good neighbor!

Really disappointing experience today. A group of us went to see Avengers: End Game and the theater oversold the seats. Well, technically they were selling seats for 12:00 am and letting people think it was for the noon showing. Our tickets were in fact for 12:00 noon and several people ended up having to leave the theater because they had incorrect tickets. To make matters worse, theater staff handled the situation horribly. So much so that a manager (I'm assuming since he was wearing a dress shirt, said his name was Jake) got an attitude with customers when they were simply trying to get into the seats that they paid for. The theater is nice and the seats were comfortable, but this experience will keep me from coming to this particular theater again. Nice job, Jake...making your paying customers seem like they are the problem.

By far my families favorite movie theater. They are always quite and courteous to us when we buy our tickets and at the concession stand. Every visit we've made the lobby has been clean. Into the theaters the lazy boy reclining seats are amazing with heated seats and it doesn't cost a arm to sit in them. I enjoy all my movie experiences at this theater.

Love the new building. Everyone theatre has really nice seats. SceenPlay is great if you have a kid, come 30 minutes early with a screenplay ticket and they get to play on the indoor playground. Make sure you bring socks!

The best movie theater in the whole Kansas City surrounding area. The live Jazz bar down to the musical ambiance in the parking lot, truly makes you feel like you're getting away for the night.

Amazing seats, amazing screen and staff are so friendly, it's a bit pricey but honestly worth it. The atmosphere is great and the features this cinema has are unearthly. I always go here and plan to for many more years to come.

We went to the 7:30 show and it was scarcely attended. Recliners were great. Movie was very loud, could have been turned down some. I thought it was expensive. I had gone online and purchased tickets which was a mistake, because there was an additional $2.00 fee for booking. I won't do that again. Of course, we got refreshments, a large popcorn and a large drink. Sooo expensive!!!! When I went to the drink dispenser they were out of my drink. There are several there and it took me 4 dispensers before I got to one that had my drink. I reported it to a customer clerk and he said he'd fix it later. One redeeming factor, free refills on drink and popcorn. I will definitely go to matinees from now on.

This is an amazing theatre! The sound quality is great. My heated seat reclined all the way back and I even lifted up the cup holder in the middle to stretch out across my friends chair. We relaxed on the leather couch near the front by the bar and restaurant area. The jazz band was setting up.

One of only a handful of unique theaters in the country (as of 2019) with multiple theatre formats. The design and architecture are impressive and accommodating. Sound is excellent, and doesn't bleed in theatre to theatre. With spacious seating, self-service options, and a full menu, this is a premium theatre in KC (with ample parking to boot)!

Second time we go purchase tickets and their system shuts down when the system reboots our tickets are gone. Why can't they figure this out makes no sense. Very frustrating

The new B&B Liberty 12 Theaters are amazing! We went to our first movie there today, and watched in all leather recliners. There are also specialized theaters with wrap screens, seats that move, and environmental effects. This location also has a full bar with live music several nights of the week. Lunch and dinner are also served. This is an amazing addition to Liberty!

I had a bad experience while watching a movie at this theater. There was a party of adolescent girls that were extremely disruptive during the show. The girls were talking, laughing and switching seats throughout the movie. Management came and asked them to stop once but the behavior continued. These girls should have been kicked out after two warnings but they were not. The movie was ruined by the customers and the managements poor handling of the situation.

The theater was nice and the reclining seats were cool. When I went to purchase tickets I found out that people choose their seats at the time they buy their tickets and apparently everybody orders in advance. That was a bunch of crap in my opinion. We walked in the theater before any one else but still got crappy seats. I think it should still be first come first serve. I also don't want to pay extra to order online. My seat was so close to the screen it made me nautious. Not a great first impression. Think I'll stick with AMC, I always loved that theater, the reclining seats aren't worth the hassle.

I have tried reaching B&B theater in Liberty for more than 4 months. Yes, I have gone to the show but didn't know who to talk to. I have written numerous emails and called their number which is a recording. My problem is, I am a member of their loyalty program. Have been since first offered. No worries purchasing tickets online. Until like 4-5 months ago. When I go and put my info in, it says the information is wrong. I know it is not. Tried it again and again. So, I emailed them and said it says my info is wrong. I tried changing my password but then it said I had no account. So I thought, ok, I will try to sign up again and it said I already have an account. I know that I do because I get emails from them all the time about my loyalty program info and offers. But it still won't let me sign in or change anything. Very frustrating. No replies ever. I still buy them as a guest because I like that theater, but I have spent hundreds of dollars because I purchase for friends that go with me. Not to mention the money in the Jazz club which is probably not really involved with them. Anyway, my point is that I have spent all this money for tickets, and everything, but I am not getting the points, so I have no idea what to do. Wish someone could help me. Also, I don't understand why they charge a book fee for online tickets. It is not that big a deal and seems they would prefer us to do that than to come in and stand in line. The actual theater and seats and everything I give 5 stars, but customer service sucks.
