B&B Tirana Smile

Not much to look at from the outside, but Tirana Smile is a wonderful boutique hotel nestled amongst other businesses on a small, quiet street in the centre of Tirana. The welcome staff were very competent and unrushed, offering us a very good introduction to Tirana, as well as other assistance. Nothing was too much trouble. ||The suites, in a separate section of the building, were colour themed, large, very comfortable, secure and quiet. A comfortable sitting / reading / TV / music area was adjacent to the breakfast room. A full breakfast, included in the daily tariff, consisted of cooked options, as well as fruit, cereals and fresh bread, muffins cooked daily, topped with freshly made jams and preserves from local produce. Highly recommended.

B&B Tirana Smile is located central place. it was easy to reach centrally located historical and cultural places. There are a lot of bar, restaurant and cafe near the B&B Tirana Smile. It small facilities, but rooms are big, clean and comfortable. B&B Tirana Smile offers tea, coffee all the time free of charge. Their policy is that guests feel like at home. Staff are also helpfull. The prices are quite reasonable. If u dont have big expectations, this facility provides good accommodation. Unlike Hotel, you can feel yourself at home. Breakfast could be better. Anyway, I strongly recommend for accommodation.

We were a group of four friends and got a room for 58 EUR. Considering the luxurious interior, friendly staff and good location, that is a very good bargain. The staff is helpful with all requests, there is a laundry service and working AC. |Do not get irritated by the outside appearance, it is much nicer from the inside. Bathroom and rooms are new and very clean.

What a cozy B&B ! I stayed in twin room. The room is huge, so I didn’t have to use living room at all but living room is also very nice. ||There are 7~9 rooms at this B&B. Unless you are on too tight budget, don’t choose “budget twin room”. If you book through agoda or booking com, it might be “twin with bunk bed”. It is very small room with a bunk and a table. Although bathroom is attached, it is not easy to recommend. The small room doesn’t have windows, just dark. So I would recommend other rooms.||||The room I stayed includes;||||TV, mini fridge, big wardrobe, desk, towel, linen, hair dryer and AC.||||Towels are plenty, there is no issue at hot water shower. Wifi connection is stable but don’t forget to bring your own device because there is no computer provided you can use. Lots of TV channels with various kinds of language. ||||You can cook at the kitchen but there are only 2 pans, so if you want to cook, you should plan well. ||Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 10:00 but some snack is always left for guests in the kitchen. ||||The location is excellent. 10 minutes walking to the Skanderbeg square. ||There is SPAR (supermarket) on the same street. On the way to square, there are zillions of choices; café, fast food, restaurant, exchange, bank,,,, The location is very good.||||You might find “tour” in their official website but don’t expect. I don’t think they arrange tours themselves but I saw a travel agent in the same building (next to the reception of the Smile B&B), although I suspect the activity, I did saw travel agent name there. ||||Reception is not open for 24/7, which I found inconvenient a bit. If urgent, they have WhatsApp but if messages are not checked regularly, their response is late.||||They can arrange taxi for airport pickup (18 euro for one way) This might be better than meter taxi. ||You can choose public bus between airport and Skanderbeg square. As the bus stop in city is right next to the Skanderbeg square, ( but from Smile B&B, it is beyond the square ) it is a bit walking to get to Smile B&B with suitcase. If you don’t know the exact location of B&B, it might be worse. If you are not on very tight budget, I would suggest you a taxi. Also the frequency of bus is one per hour.

The location of the B&B is excellent - it's walking distance to the main tourist attractions, and minimarket, supermarket (Carrefour), cafe, pharmacy & restaurant are all round the corner. The B&B itself is new & colourful, with simple but spacious room. I appreciate free coffee, water, fruit & pie are available at all times. There are only four rooms and so you better book early. If you are lucky, early check in is available - We arrived at 8am from the long flight & instantly we could settle in and take a rest in the room. The only bad (or good?) thing may be that the staff will be there only when there is new check-in travelers at night.

Spent a night here at both the beginning and end of a trip around the Balkans. The room we had (Blue) was huge and very clean. The B&B is on the first floor of a block and the conversion is new. The bed was big and comfy, bathroom was fine and air con etc worked. ||||Staff were helpful but there's no one based on site so make sure you have the phone number on you / a working mobile when you arrive as there might not be anyone to let you in.||||You can arrange trips out to other parts of Albania from the B&B...we didn't have time but there were lots of options. ||||No hesitation in recommending this place.

A well-located B&B on a densely-populated residential street, close to all the sights and eateries. The young couple who own the B&B have done a nice job remodeling and making a welcoming inn. The room quality is average, but spacious and the price is commensurate. Buffet breakfast is excellent and inn keepers are available for advice. I'll definitely stay here again.

Clean, bright and modern. Excellent breakfast with home made cake and jams, friendly helpful staff and close to the main square and good eating places nearby. A kitchen to make your own snacks and cheerful comfortable lounge with TV if that's your choice. I am happy to recommend Tirana Smile B&B.
