B&B@21 (Bed & Breakfast 21)

The location was great, within walking distance to a lot of places, including the pier. The rooms were big and clean. The only downside was that there were no security lockers in the room, but they do have some small ones for valuables downstairs for free, so it really isn't an issue. The service was fantastic! The employees made their service so personable and made you feel like their friend. The breakfast is light with just toast, but it is free. I loved the back patio area with garden plants and tables. So cute. I really loved the atmosphere and decorations of this hostel!

One of the best hostel I have ever reside during traveling so far. Their owner is so friendly and helpful. Their staff (during my stay) are Japanese who stay in Kota Kinabalu and locals, also friendly and always smiling. They got a good price too for a bed and breakfast. Their location is not bad like, close enough by walking distance to Today Waterfront and Filipino market.

We really enjoyed staying here. The accommodation is very clean and well located, but the real star is the staff. Rae gave us the best suggestions, thoughtfully answered all of our questions and went above and beyond in helping us with our trip. We went into Borneo with limited research and he personally drove us around to get our tickets organized and showed us some sights, with out asking any thing in return. This type of warm hospitality and excellent suggestions made our entire trip to Borneo. Can't recommend this spot enough!!

Very nice hostel. Staff is super friendly. Had to go on early morning trip for which staff helped to prepare breakfast early morning which was great. Overall condition of dorm is super clean and well maintained. Will choose this hostel again, if I go KK again :)

We stayed here for two nights in preparation for our climb. We encountered a problem with our room, when we arrived at 3 am in the morning, for having a smelly puke and no staff were available at that time, making us evacuate to our mates' already full room. The next day, the owner said that our first night will be free of charge and we got a new room. Anyway the place are good to stay in for the night, cozy for travellers.

This B&B is quite cozy. It even has a small terrace/garden. What I really liked was that you can refill your water bottle for free and that you also get coffee and tea. Unfortunately, the beds weren't really comfortable and the breakfast was like in every other Malaysian place (white toast, jam). I really don't understand why they do not simply offer some different kinds of fruits.

One of the amazing place I have ever stayed during my Malesya trip. The staff who works in the reception helped me to plan my trip and answered all my questions patiently. They were so nice 👍 Also place so clean bed is so comfortable and environment was so social. I strongly recommend that place 👍👍👍

Super perfect hostel for a backpacker couple. A very friendly and serviceminded host named Ray, gives you plenty of tips and advise for trips and must see's in Borneo. If you just arrived in KK and need a night before you are going to explore the island - stay at this hostel!
