This place is an absolute joke. We paid $200, and although the safari did not take place due to a government ban (not the hotel’s fault), this was never properly explained or handled. The rooms are old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Instead of fixing the bathroom faucets, they literally put buckets under them to “save water” — that’s not eco-friendly, it’s ridiculous and embarrassing. On top of that, the listing advertised a hair dryer, which of course was nowhere to be found, and a TV that obviously did not exist either. We had lunch already paid for, which we never even ate, yet they still had the audacity to charge us for bottled water instead. Completely shameless. This hotel should be avoided at all costs. Do not stay here. I do NOT recommend it.

Rooms and facilities are very basic compared to the JLR in Kabini. Safaris have been cancelled indefinitely by the Karnataka government, so our 1 night stay here was unfortunately without a safari, so cannot comment on that experience. The only reason we stayed, despite knowing that the facilities were very basic, was because of the access to the safaris. Guests get a guaranteed spot on the Jeep safaris. Food etc is decent, but not the same high standard as the JLR in Kabini. Rooms have a/c but are very outdated. The bathroom in the Maharaja room was clean but again, very basic and really outdated. Note that we stayed with the most expensive of the room packages - The Maharaja package. There is really nothing much to do here if the safaris are not on. You can hear the traffic on the Mysore-Ooty road outside, that was a bit annoying. The resort area is really small, you can cover it on foot in a few minutes. So many reviews and vlogs said otherwise, and now I wonder how many of them were genuine. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless safari is your priority.

The best place to be to enjoy jeep safaris into the Bandipura National Park. Other resorts don't offer jeep or the knowledge of the naturalists. Every experience in the resort is catered towards safari experience like the pre and post safari tea/snacks. The food is adequate and there's enough variety to go around without complaints. The staff are some of the most friendlist you would meet. Where JLR BSL could improve is with regards to other activities inside the resort. For those wanting to kill time between safaris or those not going on safaris.

Let's get straight to point. The food is good, but not too good. A good spread with a quality taste. But the problem was with the room. The room we were given, which was Maharaja 08 had a foul, rotten smell. Also, the bathroom wasn't clean. The staff tried their best to find where the smell was from. And finally, they did change our room. The problem was gone. Service was quick and nice. Everything was great, except for this inconvenience. Hope you would rectify it ASAP.

Ok food ok rooms decent service. Bad non veg food items. No coordination among drivers. No walki-talki. JLR is surviving on unavailability of jeeps. Limited access to national park. Restricted time limits. Time allocated is less than the department vehicle. Better to book jeep safari online and a basic stay. Tough but even JLR booking is not easy. JLR provides you exclusivity which is important. We spotted a pair of critically endangered red headed vulture however driver was much interest in big cats. But I get why.

We recently stayed for 2 nights with children and totally loved it. The hospitality of the staff is beyond the expectations. Food was delicious in all meals we had. Best part was Safaris, Movie, Temple visit and food was all inclusive in the stay. Will definitely recommend and maybe visit again.

Bandipur JLR is quite a nice place for the jungle lovers. It would have been better if they have exclusive budget friendly packages for wildlife photographers who visits often and try their luck purely for their passion for wildlife and photography. The service and the food quality is appreaciable.

Good stay, comfy food, and decent experience, not so exotic but the location service and hospitality is worth mentioning. Little difficult to get a reservation, but don't miss to visit atleat once. You would want to go back. Detailed review will follow
