The restaurant has a very special and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed spending time here and will be back again.

Laid back cafe, where you can relax and eat good food. We went for breakfast. For the refill coffee, we had to wait a couple times as they run out of coffee. Also the breakfast came at different times so make sure to bring enough waiting time.

Just as good as when it was my neighborhood Cafe two decades ago. This time I brought my teenage daughter. Food was delicious and we love sitting outside in the sun. My daughter got the Croque Monsieur and I got the Abundant Egg Sandwich (open face egg sandwich with shrimps on Rye bread).

First went to Mad & Kaffe, which was so popular they had 10 tables waiting. Also the place was crowded for my personal taste. During breakfast I like to have my place and just sip coffee staring in the distance. I’m quite introverted. Then I found this place. When I walked in, I knew it’s for me. The coffee pot, old style chairs and tables, nice and quiet but not empty. Just perfect. Friendly staff, good coffee, now waiting for the breakfast where I could choose from a little list. All excellent. I love the rugged and old style of this place and would come every day. These places have become very rare and when I actually find one by accident, a place not turned into a hipster cafe with a thousand different coffees, I’m in heaven. Not that there’s anything wrong with hipster cafes, I just prefer the old fashioned. Also, haven’t seen a television, hooray!

Absolutely lovely and cosy Café. Very nice and helpful service, delicious food and tap water for free make it an absolute blast to spend time there. Would recommend 100%!

The coffee were terrible, but I liked the avocado bread which I’ve have for breakfast, nice friendly atmosphere and unique space.

Super delicious hummus plate that can be made vegan. Huge portions too and great vibes and music. Also very large drinks, I recommend the homemade lemonade!

I came here to work as I was meeting my team for dinner around the same area & was in the city earlier in the day! The place is very good for work, got a nice hip vibe into it, self-service ordering concept where it’s recommended to even return your plates when you’re done, good coffee, FREE drinking water! Just keep on mind that it’s quite tight so if you hate tight spaces I do not recommend it & if you make my mistake & work on a Friday you can expect the absolute majority to be there for drinks once the clock hits 4. Nonetheless, when I can’t drink when I actually want to focus!

Yelp
An all organic restaurant, bar and coffee shop. Go up first to order and pay, then sit down. In and outdoor seating. There are about 5 beers on tap and a bunch of bottles. There are ciders, liquors and wines. They sell a lot of espressos. Had the the proschiutto cheese wrap salad. The bread and butter were outstanding. The salmon bread was very rich and dreamy. The soup of the day was a chix coconut soup. The soup was a large entree size. Again, the bread and butter were outstanding. The butter tasted like butter squared. I adored the fisherman portraits collection on the side of the wall.

Yelp
Tasty sandwich, large restaurant, pretty laid back - order at the bar and then sit back and relax. Top tier ice latte. If I'm wandering around vesterbro and need to feed my friends I'd stop by again.

Yelp
Great looking food Aubergine toast to try ! Local Cafe were people sit all afternoon to work. Waiter are friendly and quick with service. There is space for family and kids in the back. Pretty cosy and good price place for a meeting, snack or 6pmbeer.

Yelp
OK place. With a price of 98 kr for brunch, I guess it's an alright place to get something to eat. Unfortunately I didn't try anything else than brunch. Brunch consists of boiled eggs, croissant / pain au chocolate, bread, cheese, jam, muesli and fruit. Pretty standard fare but you get to fill out blanket by the cashier to specify your preference. The atmosphere is cool tho'. It reminds me of those retro cafes in Berlin. Perfectly nice place to hang out all day if you like, and you get unlimited coffee and tea (from AC Perch) with your brunch.

Yelp
My very first meal in Copenhagen, and I was impressed with the delicious bowl of daal and rice I received, which at 85kr cost as much as my cocktail, but both were worth their price. Great atmosphere and friendly smiling service, as is the norm here in Denmark.

Yelp
This is a hipster bar in a hipster neighborhood with many cool bars that I really like. This neighbor hood is my new favorite part of Copenhagen! At night the clientele is guests in their 20-30-something and during daytime a bit older. Laid back atmosphere. Worn furnitures. Breakfast served all day - looked really good! (Didn't have it). If you prefer IPA, ales and pale ales on tap - look further. Here they go for lagers. Super hot temperature in the inner room! Please get AC or at least get the windows to open! In the back they have two pinball machines - Judge Dredd and Big Buck Hunter. DDK10 per credit. They are placed a bit cramped, but ok. Just turn them on if you want to play. Coins can be changed in the bar, but preferably bring a bunch yourself. Both machines are in ok condition (BBH even good). AMEX not accepted. Free wifi!

Yelp
Despite attracting a lot of hipsters, Bang&Jensen pulls off being a cosy bar with great atmosphere, both for late night conversations with friends and for an afternoon lunch or coffee. The interior is retro and exiting - despite showing wear and tear. Their brunches are ok, and they have some light dishes for lunch and dinner.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots on Vesterbro! Staff is friendly, the decoration inside is awesome and where else can you get an organic coffee with refill for only 23kr.? Moreover the music is good, and if you get hungry, they offer delicious sandwiches and other options that won't break your budget (also veggie dishes). Tip: if they have croissants left after 16:00, they give them out for free! ;)

Yelp
Can't comment on the drinks but the food was mighty fine. My friend recommended we stop by Cafe Bang og Jensen for lunch and I happily obliged. This place has a very cozy feel and is decorated with quirky vintage furniture. There's plenty of space to dine and WiFi if you want to work although it can be a little dark inside. There are a few big comfy chairs where people were just sitting and reading so the noise level doesn't seem to be that distracting. The food portions are rather large. I had the Croque Monsieur and it was good. Be aware of the kick from the mustard though. The staff is friendly and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back again and try their dinner menu.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Vesterbro for sure. The first time I came here, it was just for orange juice and a croissant...and to this day it was one of the best croissants I have had in the city! It's a great spot for lunch, dinner, a glass of wine or just a coffee. It has such a unique, intimate cozy vibe. if you are in the neighborhood stop by. I am a big fan of their brunch items or the goat cheese and Serrano ham salad. Super yummy!

Yelp
Super chill place, pretty awesome for a date. Cozy and dark on the inside, and super unpretentious. I came for dinner and had their chorizo sandwich - it was pretty awsome. The prices are reasonable and the place is in the trendy Vesterbro neighborhood. Enjoy!

Yelp
I really liked this cafe/bar! It had a good atmosphere and it was cosy. On a weekday it was almost full at 19:00 in the evening. I guess it's quite popular! They also serve food. We had the nachos and they were average. I mean not enough melted cheese on them and the sauces we got with them were poor and not enough. It was more or less straight from the super market. Maybe the other dishes are much better. The beer was a bit expensive. 50 dkk for a large draft beer. But I mean it depends what you re looking for. It was a really nice place to be on a weekday, I liked the atmosphere. It was a proper bar to relax and have a conversation with your friends! The interior was a bit dark with tables here and there. It's a bit hard to mingle, at least on a weekday, as everyone seemed to be just on their own groups. It is a cafe that had this old pub feeling that I really like. It misses two stars because of the food and the prices.

Yelp
One of the first cafés in this part of Copenhagen (Istedgade) and used to be the local pharmacy. Unpretentious and relaxed. The breakfast is still good and sort of a "local" Danish breakfast. Have a dedicated corner for 2 pinball machines that are changed from time to time. Very nice place and always full on weekends. Cool and worth a visit.

Yelp
Oh how I wish there were places like Bang and Jensen in the states and I would happily become a regular. Considering I wasn't a huge fan of my meal (my own fault), next trip to Copenhagen I would gladly return! As a part of a 2 week study abroad in scandinavia, our professor recommended this place, and after a day of navigating the public transit we happily sat down in the cozy cafe/wine bar feel. The menu was pretty extensive with salads, sandwiches and pasta, and comparing these to Oslo prices we were happy to taste a few things! Being a salmon lover I ordered the salmon sandwich. Unfortunately my own fault, I quickly learned I dont love dill... (beware if you're the same!) my peers tried my sandwich and LOVED it; and I snacked on nachos and the pesto pasta... YUM! So fresh and paired with a reasonably priced, and large Carlsberg, I could have spent a few good hours reading a book and people watching at the bar! Note that they do not accept US credit cards, which we were told before, so plan accordingly!

Yelp
Been here a couple times. Once for an afternoon coffee/work session and once for drinks. Their coffee is tasty and their vibe is a nice funky coffee house feel with a lot of character. I split the burrito with my friend, and though it wasn't mexican food per se, it was a tasty filling lunch. It was a bit more akin to chili mixed with typical burrito fare. It is fairly quiet during the day and bustling at night when it transforms into its bar persona. Would definitely recommend it for a chill night of drinking and chatting with friends. Great CPH hangout spot.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I got the Croque Monsieur and Croque Chevre for brunch one Sunday morning. They certainly don't skimp on the ingredients at this place! I am definitely going to be a repeat customer next time I visit Kobenhavn! A low point is the washroom. Just avoid it if you can.

Yelp
The ATM sandwich is to die for. Staff is usually rather friendly. My only complaint is with the seating arrangement - a bit too disorganized for my taste. The place is often "full", even though there are a lot of empty chairs.

Yelp
The coolest cafe in town. Down home funky, the best vibe on Vesterbro. Fast WiFi, the sweetest staff, drinkable coffee and plenty of it, free refills, unheard of in Denmark! I love the place, you will too.

Yelp
For me this is a classical copenhagen café. The food is good, but not wow. A lot of people using it to sit and work during the days. Nice atmosphere and ok prices. Last time I was their they did not accept foreign cards though.

Yelp
Smells like smoke, is it the chef? Brunch here is not recommended. Bread is fresh but bland, fruit was precut ages ago and comes out of a bucket. Maybe come here for lunch or something else.

Anne Sofie A.

Yelp
A good cafe and meet up place in the true spirit of Vesterbro. Great place to meet if you are up for a beer amongst friends and looking for a night out. They also serve a simple yet great brunch. Especially good for G&Ts during summertime

Vanessa A.

Yelp
An inviting cafe with a relaxing study vibe by day and a casual bar ambiance by night. Hosts the usual young Vesterbro crowd, and fills up quickly in the evenings. A great place for people watching or cozying up in the back room on one of their vintage couches. Beer and coffees are very fairly priced, and the service is so-so, depending on how busy it is (and it's usually quite busy).

Yelp
For anyone looking to escape from the cold Vesterbro night and warm up in an upbeat local, this is the place. If however, your plan is to eat breakfast here - let's just say you get what you pay for. Certainly an affordable place in Copenhagen is a massive draw card, and this is definitely affordable. What it isn't is efficient, accurate, delicious, or particularly friendly. When placing your breakfast order you're instructed to fill out a form, placing corresponding crosses against what you want to order. On receiving my food I discovered mine was wrong. I politely let the person who took my order know, she told me to 'tell the kitchen because that's not my area'. Okay. I told the kitchen, they said that replacing my food would take a while but they'd bring it out to me. How generous. The coffee is served when you order, and by the time the food arrives it's a chilly brown brew poured from a jug. By the time my replacement breakfast arrived the rest of my food was as stone cold as the coffee. Breakfast in many ways is an art form, but a relatively easy one to get right. Bang & Jensen haven't.
