Me and my partner are 3 weeks into a 3 month stay at Bangarang. We are both complete newbies to Muay Thai and took a complete chance and booked 3 months because I saw a few people suggesting Bangarang on reddit.
Honestly I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The rooms are clean and quiet- we are in a deluxe room and the private outdoor area is lovely. The cleaners do a spectacular job! We didn’t have a meal package, but we have had a few meals on site so far and they are really large, nutritious and delicious. Plenty of restaurants on grab nearby too.
We love using the free bicycles to go for a recovery ride through the beautiful rice fields, the location is relaxing and stunning. The pool and gym are amazing. We hire a scooter on site too which is really helpful and go into the city on Sundays. They also arrange transports and tickets to fight nights very often in the city - so far it has been at least once a week which is really fun.
The instructors and sessions are amazing. Such variety at the start of each session, circuits, jogging, kettle bells, tyres, etc. Really mixes it up so every session is interesting. Every instructor brings something different to the table which is amazing. You get to chose who you work pads with at the end of each session and they all work you in different ways which I love - some are quicker and more cardio intense, some push for power and some spend a long time perfecting moves and technique. They are all equally as skilled and helpful. I have improved massively in just 3 weeks and I can’t wait for the next few months.
A big thank you to Nicky who is always on hand for help and advice! I couldn’t recommend Bangarang enough!
P.s. don’t be put off if you are completely unfit or a complete newbie. Everyone is at a different level and they are really really accommodating to this. I was worried starting as someone very unfit but I felt so comfortable straight away, and everyone else at the camp is so friendly.
