Yelp
I cannot offer much insight into the ambiance and service, as I have only eaten take-out from this restaurant. But the FOOD?! I have loved every item that I have tried from Bangkok on Franklin. If you are looking for food that is fresh and bursting with authentic flavors, choosing to eat here should definitely be on your bucket list.
For an appetizer, I highly recommend ordering the Crispy Yaya (a combo of crab, shrimp, chicken and water chestnut in wonton wrapping, deep-fried, then served with a sweet, salty sauce.) The Bangkok Spring Rolls are also a great choice, crunchy goodness with the perfect sweet chili sauce for dipping. If you are looking to begin your meal with soup- the Tom Kah Soup is definitely on point.
Now, on to the entrees... If you are looking for a myriad of flavors that pop with each bite, DO order the Spicy Lemongrass! For the added protein, I chose shrimp and it paired fantastically with the yellow curry and citrusy notes from the lemongrass.
Even though, it is considered to be a common Thai dish, the Drunken Noodles with beef are amazing also.
Another must try plate is definitely the Sweet Sausage Fried Rice, which offers a wonderful blend of salty, spicy and sweet, that your taste-buds will appreciate.
