Bangsring Breeze

Beautiful and tranquil hotel, at night it’s cool enough that you don’t need the air con. Food was good and decently priced. We enjoyed the Iljen trip, do go to the hot springs afterwards! Finally, Mei was amazing and really helpful, she helped us secure onward travel, thank you so much!

Great hotel tucked away just outside of banyuwangi and ferry port for bali. |Lovely pool area, very relaxing. Large clean rooms. We stayed in room 4. Personally I think this was the best room as it has the best view and a terrace area that feels private from the rest of the hotel. |Would be nice to have some background music on in the restaurant area.|Shops for snacks/drinks 8-10 minute walk away.|We found a great restaurant a gentle 30/35 minute walk away on the beach called 'kampung lobster' which served great food and very friendly.

My friends and I had a wonderful, relaxing 7 nites' stay at Bangsring Breeze ("BB"). We felt it was like a home away from home - a great place to chill and unwind. The staff were warm, attentive and always polite. The big and comfortable rooms and public areas have been repainted and facilities are well maintained. Wifi is strong throughout the resort. ||Compliments to Ibu Pramai, Pak Bundan and the service staff for pampering us with delicious food and great service. We will definitely be back. ||

It has been a nice hotel once. We were expecting a wonderful experience, but we’re disappointed. If you look at the Website this is a great place. In reality this place needs a lot of work. We were the only guests. It would be better to close it in the low season and do the needed renovations. The room with Sea View does not have sea view. The plants in the hotel have grown a lot and need to be trimmed in order to allow a view beyond the plants. When it rained, it was not possible to leave the room without touching wet plants. The rooms are nicely decorated. The bathroom is also nice, but the shower area was not clean. We missed the loving eye. In the Website you see flowers in the room and in the bathroom, we did not have any. The pool was dirty and completely green. They explained to clean it, fished some leaves out of it und put a lot of chlorine in. Still we could not use it, still too dirty. They tried to clean the whole place from leaves. Still it did not look proper. The staff, in the Website with Bali costumes, was wearing just Bangsring Polo Shirts. The food was good. Only the orange juice had more water than fruits. Despite we were not able to use the pool, they did not offer any compensation, a drink or some discount. In summary, it could be a nice hotel, for us it wasn’t and too expensive for what we got.

Great, large rooms. Very good service, friendly and competent. Only small drawback is the location is perhaps a bit out of the way with few obvious places of interest nearby. Booked there to be well positioned for a visit to Baluran, but this hotel is still nearly one hour from the park. Food at the restaurant was good, but the limited menu started to feel a bit monotonous after three days of staying there. Can highly recommend the trip to Tabuhan Island organized by the hotel.

Bangsring Breeze is grandly built in a garden setting that attracts many beautiful butterflies. It is situated on a hillside that, as the name suggests, catches pleasant cooling breezes. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay for 3 days. Our bungalow’s bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, and the restaurant provided tasty home-style meals.||Our stay was greatly enhanced by the wonderful manager Pramaisella and her friendly staff. She went out of her way to be as helpful as possible. She carefully made sure our dietary requirements were catered for, and with our changing itinerary, was very flexible organising and rearranging both transfers and guided tours to the local attractions of Mt Ijen and Baluran National Park.|

We have have been coming to Banyuwangi regularly for windsports for close to seven years. Bangsring Breeze is THE place to stay while here. Staff have always been warm and do their very best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The local food is good, better than what can be found in town. The variety can get a bit limited for long stays but the staff can arrange for a car into town for a bit of change. The resort is charmingly rustic and a great place to relax. It’s a hidden gem which we’re delighted to have found. There was an understandable drop in grounds upkeep right after the COVID, but happy to see things much better during our most recent stay in Aug 2023. We are looking forward to our next stay at a place that has become a home away from home and to again see people who have become good friends. Of course, also looking forward to getting on/in the water & good wind!

A really excellent hotel! The rooms were lovely and big and the setting was very quiet and peaceful. The food was very nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Mey was especially wonderful providing us with a lot of help organising tours and even dropping us at a restaurant when we wanted to go out.
