Bánh Mì 25 - The Essential Hanoi Stop! This is, hands down, the best Bánh Mì I've ever had. Do not miss it! CRITICAL NOTE: This is an ALL-CASH ONLY spot, so be sure to have local currency ready before you line up! It's absolutely worth the effort. I ordered the classic, and the sandwich was incredible. The bun was perfectly crispy and so fulfilling—it made the entire experience. The taste was amazing; everything tasted fresh and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is great (I'd give it a solid 4 stars), and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, even when they are busy. A heads-up: Be ready to grab your food and go, as it is hard to find seating! The place is popular for a reason! Truly an authentic and must-try experience in Hanoi.

The bánh mì is absolutely delicious with well-balanced flavors. You can enjoy it either dine-in or takeaway. Despite the long queue, the service runs smoothly and efficiently, so the wait doesn’t feel too long at all. Definitely worth trying!

🥬 For Vegetarians: The tofu & veggie banh mi is packed with marinated tofu, crunchy pickles, fresh herbs, and soft–crispy bread. The veg/vegan options are clearly labeled, making ordering super easy for travelers. Pair it with a fresh smoothie and you’re set. 🥩 For Non-Veg Fans: From grilled pork and chicken to egg-and-meat combos, the fillings are flavorful, juicy, and authentically Vietnamese. The bread has that perfect crackly crust with a soft inside—exactly what a banh mi should be. ⏳ Queue Alert: Yes, there is a line—almost always. It’s busy, touristy, and buzzing. But the service moves fast, and the food comes out fresh, so the wait actually feels worth it. 🏠 Vibe & Value: Street-style, casual seating, takeaway options, and friendly staff. And with most sandwiches under $2–$3, it’s unbeatable value for the quality. ✅ Bottom Line: Whether you’re veg or non-veg, Banh Mi 25 is a reliable, flavorful stop that lives up to the hype. Big taste, small price, fun atmosphere—a must-visit in Hanoi. 🔥🌯

Very overhyped. Personally, I must not be too used to Vietnamese Banh Mi in Vietnam. I prefer the ones that are found in Australia and even Singapore which has been catered to local tastes. Bread was crispy, pork belly was juicy and other ingredients was fresh. Ordering was efficient. Queue up, order and pay, find a table and seats opposite the stall. Write anything on the sticker from the wrapper and paste it within the shop. They only accept cash.

Popular restaurant for Bánh mì and it is! So long queue to order in weekend so better visit weeday. The staff are kind adorable and experienced. quite quick but clear explanation and easy to decide the order. taste really good, crunchy but juicy! The tables and seats are mostly occupied. That was negative impression. Overall, worth a visit.

Bánh Mì 25 is easily one of my favourite stops in the Old Quarter. I tried the mixed and the combo in the pan, and both were exactly what I look for in a great bánh mì. The baguette was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the fillings were fresh, flavourful, and satisfying. It’s a simple spot but consistently delivers good food with fast service. If you’re wandering around Hanoi Old Quarter and craving an authentic bánh mì, this is definitely worth stopping by.

When you are there, you will understanf why this place is so famous! The operation runs like a well-oiled machine; the staff are organized, hygienic, and very quick. The bread is incredibly fresh, airy, and crackling crisp. The fillings are generous with a perfect balance of savory meat/pate and fresh pickled veggies (the carrots and daikon add a great crunch). If you can get a seat, the place has a great bustling street-side energy but still feels very clean. Highly recommend grabbing one and enjoying the atmosphere!

This was our first bánh mì stop in Hanoi right after dropping our bags at the hotel. We ordered two kinds — pork and chicken. The pork was good, but the chicken was noticeably better: juicier, more flavorful, and with a subtle hint reminiscent of Taiwanese sausage. Overall, the bánh mì was satisfying, but we didn’t find a big difference compared to Bánh Mì Kitchen, which is our go-to back home. Given the hype and high ratings, we personally didn’t find it as distinctive as expected. Some sidewalk vendors we tried later were even better, with more generous pickled radish, carrots, and greens. Service was fast and efficient — likely because we came early around 7am. We were seated easily as a group of three. A decent and convenient first Hanoi bánh mì, but not the standout we expected.
