Why Danang is Vietnam's new food central - SilverKris

"A small sandwich shop producing delightfully light, airy banh mi stuffed with pork floss, pâté, shredded green papaya and chilli — a well‑priced, highly praised version that many say outperforms pricier, trendier alternatives." - Duncan Forgan

Definitely the best one of the top rated banh mi places in da nang/hoi an. Tried the two other popular places, this one nails the flavours and bread perfectly. It’s the least pleasant looking of the 3 but you can tell they are popular enough with the locals to not need to make any changes for us visiting tourist. Saw some comments about herbs and cold ham, this is the banh mi I was searching for during my visit. The warm grilled meats one are good but it doesn’t quite bit the flavour profile this place does. The baguette was fresh crispy bit stiff or hard and doesn’t cut your mouth. Perfect.

😐/🥹 Asked for no cucumbers, he understood me, the lady he spoke to understood him, but I still got cucumbers.. The sandwich was just okay. I ate half and tossed the rest because cucumbers.

Exactly. Change doesn’t always show up loud — sometimes it’s the quiet shifts that move us the most.

Little bit of a walk to get there but worth it, tried the Banh Mi Ba Lan and it was really good, really like the texture of the bread, very busy with local customers

The bread is cold, too much green onion, cilantro, and thai basil - pretty much all I could taste were these herbs. Not my thing, overpriced for the quality offered. There are a lot of other stores with better banh mi. Not sure why people are so hyped over this particular one.

I’ve only eaten at a few, but my favorite Banh Mi spot so far. It’s well put together and the Cha Lua slices are the thickest I’ve seen anywhere in VN. Will continue to try other spots but will definitely return. Great value for 25k.

Popular Banh Mi store. 10k pate Banh Mi stick was really good and I like the texture. The special one was also good and I like how it had a good amount of green onions in it. I think you should try both of them.

Banh Mi shop by the roadside. Taste quite nice, the bread was fresh and its mouthful of ingredients. Worth a try!
