Banh Mi King

I think what I had was 5 stars, the stew pho. Vegetables were al dente. They have big slices of beef! Cold Viet coffee was smooth and at about the right amount of sweetness. Not in the most convenient of places. Order at the counter, pay, and find a seat. Quite spacious for what it is. Looked clean and bright. I definitely recommend. I plan to return to try a few more things to bump up the review

Great food, and very nice staff. The food was also very good but they didn't have any buns so we got something different but it was still really good. Very great would come again!

Delicious food and great portions for a very affordable price. Daughter and I like to go quite often and we will eventually try every thing on the menu, it's that good!

Had a quick lunch here with some friends and indulged ourselves. The food was so good and more filling than we thought it would be. I got the fried chicken poutine and got more than what I expected. I’ll definitely come back for more.

I love tropical smoothie and all banh mi (sub) here, it reminds me about Sai Gon, Vietnam.

When is can’t decide my go to is the Banh Mi charbroiled pork or these Shrimp Salad Rolls. These salad rolls are so crispy and juicy with big shrimps and great peanut dipping sauce. I’ll put them in the fridge for at least and hour and makes them so much cooler and crispier. I really could have these everyday! Had my first Pho the other day a Deluxe Beef. The great thing was it was in three different containers so I mixed the beans sprouts and sauce with the rice noodles and the soup and beef when it was delivered!! Another 5/5! You won’t be disappointed so good!

Recently from Toronto and people have told me that Winnipeg has a really good Viet food scene (and possibly even better than Toronto). This was one of the places I was recommended to try out and was highly disappointed with the food. It tasted bland and I couldn't even find fish sauce anywhere in the restaurant. The Yakut drink was good but nothing special. I've been told that their Viet style coffee was pretty but unfortunately I visited this place during dinner time I would say that this place isn't an authentic Viet restaurant but a fusion one

Had the Beef Pho, as is good as I get at home in SF!! If I lived here I would be at this place all the time!

The cashier gal at the front counter was super helpful! She explained what exactly was in the galaxy teas and helped my friend and I out. I chose "Twilight" tea and my friend had "Pinky Sunrise". His was made with a type of soda and my drink's foundation was Aloe Vera juice. We both thought our drinks were so colorful and delicious! My friend also liked his chicken "Baoger". 4 stars for the chicken burger. I give my veggie pho a 5 stars. The pho soup bowl was huge! It's the biggest bowl for pho I've ever seen. It also had a wide variety of vegetables like carrots, broccoli, mushrooms and even chunks of tofu. I highly recommend this, it was so healthy and marvelous!

Great selection and affordable prices. The quality and quantity is very good for what you're paying. The location is great, especially for university students. Personally, I have never had any issue with service. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Overall a great restaurant.

+.5 for service This place is amazingly good. Winnipeg has a pretty good base of Vietnamese residents, and I'm glad there are places that diversify beyond pho. I've been here twice now and have had two different banh mis: BMK beef burger sub and the charbroiled pork sub. The prices are ridiculously affordable, and one sub will fill you up guaranteed. Even better the subs taste absolutely delicious and are absolutely worth a try. If the subs are too salty for you, there's free water by the counter which you can grab. I haven't had the pho here yet, but honestly with so many pho restaurants in Winnipeg and the name screaming banh mi, I wouldn't put too much stock on it. Stick with the banh mi, and it'll be worth it. Service is great here, and the servers will bring the food to you once it's done. No hassle at all, and definitely a recommendation for those in downtown/U of W area.

The store is so cute and the staff is so friendly!! I came to Winnipeg from MN and had to come here. The Banh Mi is so good! We got the Charbroiled Pork and Lemongrass Steak. And they are very large! Overall everyone should come give this place a try. It's modern, clean, VERY friendly staff and food is great. Right when it opened there was a long line. So it's definitely a popular place.

Quick and delicious. The back area near the rest rooms need some attention as seemed greasy and slippery. I would go back.

Went here for the first time this year after hearing good things about the place. The food is a fairly cheap price and you get a lot for it which is really nice to see. The food was ready fast and had a lot of great flavours. Would recommend

Edit: While the food remains to be the best part of this place. The service has space for major improvement. I am here waiting for my food 25 minutes after my boyfriend received his. :( Anyways, very very slow service and I am very unhappy. They tend to prioritize take out than people who are eating in. If that's the case, it's better to go elsewhere if you want a better eating-in experience.

A great central restaurant if you're looking for something a little different than the usual. The Vietnamese subs, pho and other noodle dishes are great! Fast service.

This place is the best. I feel like it is my duty to review them just because of how damn friendly the workers are there. They could be absolutely packed and they still make you feel like you are the best part of their day. The service is so prompt, you usually get your food within 5 minutes (10 when is crazy busy), which is great if you're a student and have to grab a bite between classes. The tables are also a nice big size if you want a place to study (the u of w wifi still works here). The food is delicious, the salad rolls are MASSIVE and the pho always hits the spot. I'm gonna continue to grab lunch here as often as I can.

The staff is amazing, the food tastes great, and the menu is giant. If you want a smoothie, vegetarian poutine, rice rolls, and a piece of cake, they have it. I have yet to have a bad experience here. The only concern I've ever had is it can get busy, but even when they're behind everything comes out in a reasonable amount of time.

Excellent food with a ton of vegetarian options, wonderful atmosphere, and really great prices! There is a massive menu of teas to choose from as well, giving this restaurant a little bit of everything. Highly recommend!

My friends recommend this place as it's across the street from the University of Winnipeg. A trendy new fusion Vietnamese eatery.The portions are generously large and best to eat with friends. The poutine a unique flair.

Flavorful food with fresh ingredients. I'm vegetarian, and have tried both the vegetarian poutine (although it has kimchi in it, which usually has seafood in it - double check on this if you don't eat meat!) and vegetarian banh mi, both of which are filling and a nice combination of tastes. A couple things to note! Some menu items don't have a full description of what comes in them, so double check when you order. Also, the restaurant always (always!) plays cheesy romantic music, at a pretty loud volume. It's a good lunch spot close to the U of W and downtown, but not a good place to try to get work or studying done.

If you're in the mood for a sandwich and you'd like your socks knocked off go here and order a club. Went for a lunch date on my birthday mid-december and I still find myself reminiscing over the food. Seriously best sub I've ever had! Great crusty homemade bread and phenomenally flavoured meat. The steamed buns for the burgers on the other hand are a bit of a hit/miss.

Omg! The food here is soooo delicious, i can believe i never discovered this place earlier. The presentation was A1, clean and quiet environment.

Nice interior, decent prices, good sized menus, very fast service, great for lunch, the BMK chicken curry sub is basically a chicken curry soup with a large roll for dipping, very filling and super tasty

Best Banh Mi sandwich I've had outside of Vietnam. They nailed it. Ingredients, bread and flavor they are spot on. Very delicious and fresh. I'll be back!

This place is what winnipeg needs, incredible food (try the salad!) - and good service. You can tell they care.

This place has one of the best pho soup stock I've ever tasted IN Winnipeg. Delicious Pho, at one point I almost had pho every other day. Then I decided to try out their noodle bowls and then I started having dilemmas everytime I walk in and decide if I want a bowl of pho or noodle bowl. The staff is very friendly, one of the staff or even the owner from what I heard greets me every time I walk in and walk out. Beverages are A1 and are the best to compliment the delicious food. Honestly I'm afraid of trying new stuff in the menu because I'm afraid it will add to my indecisiveness when the cashier is waiting for me to state my order. I go here with my girlfriend a lot and they never disappoint. The place is good for eating solo, a date, group of friends. A handful of times I would get my food within 5 minutes of ordering. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for anything in my experience here. I really have nothing bad to say about Banh Mi King
