Google
Great value! It's $5.50 for a large sandwich and $4.50 for a small. Admittedly, the large isn't that big compared to other banh mi's and there isn't as much meat and vegetables as I would like, but for the value, it's unbeatable. The sandwiches are made fresh and directly in front of you and the workers are very nice. I got 2 large cold cut sandwiches and a little bit of sticky rice and it was delicious! Would recommend.

Google
All I can say is wow. I haven't seen such affordability on food in Toronto, and this place has it all. The ingredients are fresh and they blow through alot of prep and sales. Don't judge the front of the store. You'll be glad you went inside. The food is vibrant and you can't get enough of it. They have a grab and go section that is insanely cheap. At the end of your meal your left satisfied and full. I would come back again and recommend this place to anyone who wants Vietnamese food. Great place for tourists like myself.

Google
Love love love this place, I’ve been coming here a long time when sandwiches were $1.50 for a small! Now it’s $4.50 small and $5.50 large, which is still very good compared to cost of other sub and sandwich places. Get the large spicy (not really spicy, it’s a hidden hot pepper), and grab a few more for the next day! Take out only with other yummy items like big spring rolls for $2.00. Fast service, cash only.

Google
Perfect place if you just want a grab-and-go mid-day meal. I was in the Kensington area and was craving banh mi. They prepare them like a factory assembly line here and it’s ready in seconds! Cash only establishment. But SO. CHEAP. Only $5 for a huge sandwich that kept me full for the rest of the day.

Google
Everybody raves about this place because it's around $5, but the food is genuine pigslop. I had the large cold cut banh mi, it was warm with a few slices of Vietnamese deli meat. The entire sandwich had a pervasive disgusting aftertaste. The baguette was chewy and the pickled vegetables bland. Additionally, they are cash only and I had food poisoning the next day.

Thomas Boles

Google
Definitely not the best banh mi I've ever had, but this is the best value food I've had in toronto. Can't beat a decent $5 sandwich. Don't sleep on the packaged food they have as well, also insanely cheap and solid tasting.

NoodlesOdyssey

Google
the best banh mi in toronto is HERE !!! who cares if the service is supposedly bad. it’s 2025 and the sandwich is basically five dollars!!!!! that’s incredible!!!!!!!!!!! you won’t be disappointed by this delicious sandwich 😋

Prince Choco

Google
Incredible value for food, it can't be beat! This is one of my favourite places to grab some food and not feel guilty about the prices. Not only that, the banh mi is indeed really delicious, they don't skimp out on the ingredients. The people working there are very kind and super fast!

Yelp
Great customer service. Super friendly. Food was so delicious. The bread was fresh. And the drinks were great

Yelp
THIS is where the Banh Mis are at! I've been eating these subs since I was a kid. Nostalgia hits every time but so does the flavour. It's packed with toppings and is made fresh to order. There's a variety of subs to choose from. I always go with the classic cold cut one but I've heard good things about the others too. Bring cash and they are cash only!

Yelp
Bought some buns here to distribute to the homeless. Small acts of kindness and compassion make a huge difference.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, usually to pick up the vegetarian rice rolls stuffed with tofu, vegetables, peanuts, and vermicelli (rice noodles). They're served with vinegar & fish sauce for dipping. They're best known for their made-to-order banh mi. The interior is small and always packed. In addition to banh mi, they also sell a variety of ready-to-go food items including various sticky rice (both savoury and sweet), Vietnamese desserts / snacks, and quick meals.

Yelp
I have looked down upon this little store until I ate their beef meatball! It's the taste from Hong Kong!! Super recommend to buy their beef meatball. And Banh Mi taste good in a very low price! Also recommend!

Yelp
I have been going here just like many others since I was a kid. So yesterday, when I made a trip downtown, i had to swing by. I remember going grocery shopping with my mom when we were younger, and mom would pop in here and get my brother and I a sandwich, and if we were good, we get che (vietnamese pudding). A real staple in the city
google avatar

Yelp
Vegan rice rolls, hurrah! I went here interested in the tofu banh mi but it seems they no longer offer it and found this instead! Great flavour with the dipping sauce too, which is more like a sweet soya sauce. Inside the rolls are carrots, lettuc, tofu (fried and sliced), musrooms, and I think peanuts.

Yelp
Great place if you want anything fast and cheap! They have fresh banh mi's as well as other Vietnamese staples such as com tam, grilled meat with vermicelli, xoi, etc. Cash only!!

Yelp
We got the BBQ Pork banh mi, and split it in the confines of High Park. My only regret was that we should have bought TWO sandwiches. Don't make the same mistake we did.
google avatar

Ray B.

Yelp
Popped in for a snack to eat while doing a walk-about in China town. Ordered up a large BBQ pork banh mi. The BBQ pork was more like sausage than a BBQ pork you would expect. Wasn't as expected but was quite good. Quite a busy place so expect to be moved along through the line up quickly. Didn't see that you could customize your order with different condiments but didn't have much of a chance to study the menu to see if it was possible. Anyway, all in all quite a nice place to pick up a quick snack. I would recommend.

Yelp
To me, these reviews are ultimately about value proposition. We're evaluating if the business delivers on what it pretends to be. There is no doubt in my mind that this humble Banh Mi spot in the center of Chinatown has one of the highest value proposition in the city. I mean, you can get a delicious and filling sandwich for 4$!!! I don't even think I could buy a bag of Sour Patch Kids at this price these days. Every single item in the shop is similarly priced, you almost feel bad for paying so little for all that food. I truly believe this is one of the hidden gems of Chinatown. It perfectly embodies what this neighborhood is about, providing simple yet delicious food for people in the community. I really hope you'll give it a try if you pass by it. For 4$, it's hard to justify not to.
google avatar

Yelp
Good value for your money. Sandwiches are made fresh in front of you and options for fresh rolls and bun (cold noodles). They have desserts and drinks. Also your favourite Vietnamese deli products. This place is small one lane to go in and one line to go out. I got the large assorted sandwich, it had a good balance of salty, sweet and crunchy, with a slab of their home made garlic mayo was delightful. Desserts seem to be a bit over priced for a cup filled portion $5. This is a very busy place, but lots of selection for a quick grab and go lunch.

Yelp
My colleague who is Vietnamese had come here in 2017 and mentioned this place was really good but when we got here to pick up some sandwiches we both agreed things had changed since his previous visit. The bread was dry with not much spread and compared to Saigon Sandwich in the Tenderloin area of San Francisco there is no comparison. Prices are cheap by USD standards $5 Canadian for a large sandwich but I won't be coming back here and recommending using yelp or as the Canadians do - google review.

Yelp
Quick, no nonsense banh mi place which we love for the authentic flavors and good bread. This place was recommended by my colleague's Vietnamese girlfriend, so you know its as authentic as it can get. It's been a few months since we've been here but the last time we visited, we got two lemongrass tofu banh mis for $5 each. That's super reasonable for delicious and filling sandwiches. Service was quick in and out. I know my colleague gets a bunch of these and throws them in the freezer!!

Winny T.

Yelp
Small but fast service since they make some ahead of ordering. Bread isn't as crispy as ones that I have had that uses French baguettes and as flavorful at other places. Decent enough. Got the pandan ban do lan (steamed cake) too which was good!

Yelp
I LOVE this place !!! I've been here countless times so I'm surprised I didn't already review it yet ! I typically get the siu mai banh mi in large ... its soooooo good! The only thing you should be careful of is to double check it's the correct order before you leave . They did give me spicy a few times when I specifically requested no spice ! Typically red writing means spicy and the green writing is the non spicy one ..BUT even that they have given me a spicy one in a green writing bag before .. -.-! The hot food section is also amazing !!! It's super cheap and you get soo much ! They quality is also still there with the low price tag ! This time we came here we got the pork chop rice ..egg and sausage bun with spring roll !! Nomnom . Each is 6$... this is a $1 increase since 2019! Highly recommend everyone to check this place out ... it's in the heart of Chinatown !

Yelp
Food: This is more of a fast to-go food place. Sandwiches are pre-made and cold. Flavor was mediocre, okay for the price but certainly not good Banh Mi. Service: Although I understand that this is not a sit-down restaurant (it's really just a tiny food mart offering food), but I have to say that I was appalled by how rude the worker there was. I kindly asked her to not put cilantro into my sandwich as I don't eat cilantro. What I didn't know was that the cilantro was mixed in with the carrot and was very difficult to separate. I apologized to her for the trouble after realizing it but she complained loudly with an evidently annoyed expression on her face about me not eating cilantro, making me extremely uncomfortable. She then handed the banh mi to the other worker at the cash register and PROCEEDED to complain super loudly about me not wanting cilantro and being bothersome in Vietnamese. It was extremely rude and unnecessary. Moreover, after I got the sandwich, I realized that only half of it had sauce and other toppings while the other half only had meat and carrots. Moreover, there was a piece of thick hair embedded within the meat (suggesting that it got there before the meat got cooked), and that was very gross. Regardless, horrible experience, horrible people, never coming here again.

Yelp
In my younger days, my dad would fly back home with a banh mih from this place every time he went to Toronto. He's been there since the sandwiches were $1, probably before I was born. He was surprised to see that the price for a large sandwich is now $4.50, but that's still a great deal. He finally brought me in person to the shop, and I really liked the assorted cold cuts banh mih. I hope this place exists forever so that I can bring my kids here in the future.

Yelp
This used to be my favourite place for bánh mì and other snack. But recently they became sketchy. A few times already they miscalculated when I bought too much and overcharged. Please pay attention and check your stuff. Today yet again the cashier was very cranky and I only knew when I got home. Never return.

Yelp
Large lemongrass sausage banh mi - $5 Tasted super fresh and the service was extremely quick. Sausage is almost similar in texture to lap cheong / Chinese sausage. No room for indoor seating, but easily eaten while walking.

Yelp
This has been my favourite place for Vietnamese subs for more than 20 years! Can you believe they used to be only $1.50?! Now they range $3-$4 depending on the type of meat and the size. My favourite sub is the honey garlic ($4 for large). I also buy their fried noodles with carrots, cashews, tofu, and sauce ($4.00) which for me just a simple dish but fun to eat with chop sticks. I also like their 3-colour dessert ($3.50). They only accept cash. Today (2019-11-06), I was short $0.45 (first time ever) but they said I can pay them next time. So nice of them. But the cashier probably recognized me as a long-time customer. They don't like people taking pictures in their store.

Yelp
Really the OG place for banh mis in toronto. I've gone here as a kid to grab a quick bite before the rest of the days adventures, and it's been a long time since i've been back but it seems like things are still the same. Still a mom and pop owned shop. It's like a Vietnamese Subway where you can ask for whatever banh mi you'd like from the menu and they make it fresh in front of you. Prices have increased, but it's still a steal. $5 for a large banh mi is a steal compared to elsewhere. Fillings are still generous. They also have fresh rolls and vermicelli bowls that are wrapped in foam packaging ready to go too. Definitely cheaper than in viet restaurants too.

Yelp
Dropped by for an assorted Hahn mi. Had high expectations. For this place from all the good reviews. Sadly I was disappointed. Baguette had no crust, it was soft and dense like a subway roll. Filling was lacking in volume and taste. Overall, it was cheap and that was it.

Yelp
Here is review #100 for 2018! I have had a lot of travel and was trying to make #100 something in my hometown but on a recent work visit to Toronto, this place really spoke to me. I found it initially odd since it is a Vietnamese food shop in a predominant Chinatown. What drew me in was the signage outside indicating fresh banh mi. It is on a busy street with only a few street meters around so good luck with that. There is a municipal parking garage a few blocks away as a best bet. Walking in I noticed several different Vietnamese foods best characterized as carry out snacks such as fresh, large stuffed buns, drinks, etc. but I barely noticed them because of the steam counter with several people behind it building banh mi's. What stands out here are that they make it in front of you, they are really affordable (only 40 cents more separates a small from a large) and they have a lot of ingredients that I have not seen in other banh mi shops such as sardines, several kinds of sausages, and a vegetarian option. Ok first the Canadian exchange rate is pretty good for Americans so the cost of the banh mi is about a US dollar less than what I am used to. Second, an upgrade to a large sandwich is only about 25 cents American. For that, I'm all in! The banh mi was awesome. Crusty bread with pillow soft insides, butter and pate' nuanced in the background and if you order it spicy, there are a few extra hot peppers snuck in. Add a gratuitous egg and it is off the hook good and plenty messy! If I lived in Toronto, I would be an addict and this would be my abusable product. In fact just thinking about it makes me need a little private time! Just kidding but if you are ever in he Toronto Chinatown area, you gotta give it a try!

Yelp
This use to be my go to pick up when I was a youngster. Went to pick up 2 and instead of making one for me on the spot, they handed me the premade ones, I wouldn't of mind if it was premade a couple minutes ago, but it felt like it was sitting there for more than 20-30mins. The bun is so soggy and wasn't even crispy. I was so disappointed, I had one right infront of their business establishment and feed the rest to my homies (pigeons) and took the other one back home where I'm going to toss it in my oven. I've seen the prices go up as the years go by, when it was only $1.00, the place was booming where it was so packed and there was a lineup which meant everything was freshly made, now it's the price of a Hamburger and staggering mountain high filled of pre-made Banh Mi. I hope the ones they don't sell to donate to a shelter or help with the homeless instead of throwing it out.
google avatar

Cecilia T.

Yelp
I liked this place but it's definitely not the best banh mi place in Toronto. The small banh mi that's $4 definitely could use more of the meat- its not as stuffed as some of the other places. The fresh rice paper rolls were good value for $5 but they were not wrapped tightly and fell apart.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
The old Toronto stand-by Banh Mi shop is still at it serving delicious and cheap sandwiches the Vietnamese way. They have cold cut, lemongrass sausage, sweet honey sausage, tofu and more all served in their own baker's simple, yet tasty fresh buns. This is an important point because their buns freshness cannot be matched. The prices have increased and are $4 for a small bun and $5 for a large one. The same sandwiches were 50 cents cheaper just three months ago. With that said they are satisfactory in both quality and quantity assuming one does not think too much about what is in the meat. However, I am deducting a point because there was less meat, less cilantro and less mayonnaise/butter in my sandwich than previously. It may have just been my sandwiches (a lemongrass sausage and a cold cut) or they have systematically joined the stagflation devolution , I do not know, but it was noticeable. The store also sells deli and snacks separately.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
pretty great for 5$! no nonsense, simple and tasty, lots of other cold dishes available too
google avatar

Lori K.

Yelp
If you're looking for a decently sized banh mi for CHEAP, come here. They make it on the spot lightening fast, and only for $5.00! You have a variety of meat choices to choose from. I got the lemongrass pork sausage, it was very flavorful. They also add sauces to the banh mi too, so be sure to eat it before it gets soggy! There is no seating inside, it's more of a takeout type of thing. They also sell styrofoam packaged meals and desserts in the refrigerator section for cheap too if you're looking to grab something to snack on later.
google avatar

Cuong T.

Yelp
Everyone be careful of the sweets in their fridge. they didn't test the tea. they are moldy. sour coconut milk. customer service attitude is not good

Nhung L.

Yelp
First time try grilled pork sandwich, will never come back. Uncooked meat, cold sandwich.

Yelp
Ventured to Chinatown on one the most coldest days in Toronto. My boyfriend was talking about this place which he has been raving about since I arrived. I trust him since he is a fellow foodie, so out we walked trying to find this place. When we finally arrived at this little place, it looked like a regular Asian store that sold ready made foods. The menu is simple and to the point, which I prefer. Too many options are not helpful when you want something quick and easy. We opted for four BBQ pork banh mi sandwiches to go, no spice. It took about 3-4 minutes to prepare them from scratch, I appreciate efficiency. They were $3.50 each, what a deal. At home, we did warm them up in the microwave for 40 seconds each sandwich since we were outside for another 30-40 minutes. The first bite of the sandwich was so fresh, the bread was soft with bites of pork, cilantro and carrots. The sauce was not oozing out of the sides, it was held nicely inside. The size of the sandwich was perfect for my appetite and satisfied my craving. We just commented on this meal for about 15 minutes, biting and chewing to our hearts content. Thankful to him for introducing me to this joint, it will be a must go the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
It's really a Nguyen-Nguyen if you come to this place. The sandwiches are delicious, and they're also insanely cheap, like me. They certainly are, well, Huong. What to get: Banh Mi What else: Banh You Too They pre-make a ton of Banh Mi sandwiches, which are the cold kind with Vietnamese lunch meat on French bread, with pickled carrots and cilantro (coriander) and cucumbers and jalapenos and such. Amazingly, they charge under $3 Canadian. Usually I don't enjoy the cold lunch meat Banh Mi (I prefer the hot BBQ pork kind, if it's done well), but these actually tasted fantastic. The flaky bread and veggies and peppers were the star and the centerpiece which is how I like it. In a sandwich I mean. I'm not talking about "how I like it" in a rude or inappropriate sense, I'm not sure why your mind would immediately go there and you should probably have a word with yourself. I'm just not like that. Nguyen Huong is being "huong" out to dry by its rival, Banh Mi Boys over near the CN Tower. The latter is a bit better and more fancy but more than twice the price. Sort of like my brother, versus me. They're calling the battle between the two, the "Nguyen Huong Feud."
google avatar

Ling M.

Yelp
My go-to place for bahn mi. So good. I usually get the Bbq pork and Bbq chicken ($5 each, only large size available). You can taste the smoky bbq flavour on these meats. I also get the lemongrass sausage one (large is $4). They ask whether you want it spicy, and I always say yes. The pickled toppings (cucumber, carrots) and cilantro and whatever sauce they put into their bahn mis...drool. These are so satisfying. They also have a fridge where they have prepared ''meals" for you to grab and go. They're reasonably priced and taste good. If you go at the end of day, you'll find these to be discounted quite a bit. But I like to go earlier in the day to make sure I get the bahn mi buns when they're as fresh as possible.

Yelp
Every chance I get, I come to Banh Mi Nguyen Huong. I very seldom get to come though, because it's really not in my area. I had a chance about a month ago to stop by, so I went a tad overboard. Here are some of my go-to items: Banh Mi - I only ever get the original, and I did this time too. I also picked up a pack of their banh mi assorted cold cuts and a pack of their pate (sold by weight). Those went into my freezer to save for a day when I want to DIY banh mi's. That's the best I can do right now if I can't make it down to the store. Vermicelli with grilled pork, spring rolls, and Vietnamese sausage - I think these packs are about $6. If I was to get this in a bowl at a restaurant, I think I could expect to be paying about double the price. These come with sprouts and assorted herbs and veggies in a small baggie, and fish sauce in a small takeout container. Sometimes, the veg isn't super duper fresh, but it's also not like disgustingly brown. Still can't complain because the value is incredible. WARNING: this has peanuts in it, for those with allergies. I'm also a sucker for their desserts, although I don't get these quite as frequently. All those coconut and pandan desserts are my jam.

Yelp
Food: 4.5 Stars Service: N/A Ambience: N/A Fill Factor: Satisfied Disclaimer: I am super biased in this review as I love eating food from Nguyen Huong and pretty much grew up on it. They offer a ton of different options from their famous banh mi to rice rolls to desserts. Everytime I come here I have a hard time deciding what exactly to eat and usually end up buying too much. My favourite two items here are the banh mi and the cakes with the eggs (no idea what they are called). The food here is relatively inexpensive (though I still remember banh mi used to cost $1) and if you prefer you can buy the bread and ingredients from here to make the banh mi yourself at home. Do yourself a favour and try an item or two from Nguyen Huong, you will not regret it.

Yelp
One of the best places to get to-go foods in within less than a minute (if you are the only one there), a staple here in the Chinatown area! Prices have been going up, which is understandable but the quality is still there. Service can be a bit iffy here, depending on the ladies' moods.
google avatar

Matthew Y.

Yelp
Really impressed! Fast, no non-sense, over-the-counter service. The shop is small but packed with all sorts of tasty vietnamese treats, sweet and savory alike! I came here and picked up lunches and snacks for a picnic for the bombshell price of $16! I ordered the vietnamese sausage bahn mi, cold cut bahn mi and the barbecue pork bahn mi, all of which were reasonably priced and packed with meat and pickled vegetables. If I had to pick my favorite, it would have to be the vietnamese sausage because it was that perfect combination of sweet and salty balanced with the acidity of the vegetables and the creaminess of the mayo/pâté. Will definitely be back for more lunches and maybe to try some of their deserts!

Yelp
I knew that there was a Vietnamese population in Toronto because of all the Pho restaurants, I just didn't think that specialty Vietnamese food places like Nguyen Huong existed here. This place is definitely hidden amongst all the other Asian storefronts of Chinatown in Toronto, so you definitely have to keep an eye when walking around. I've ordered the small assorted cold cuts banh mi with the pate, butter, pickled veggies, and jalapeños. I love the fact that you can get a small or large on certain sandwiches. For a small sandwich to be 3.00 CAD... That's like 2.40 USD! WOW, what a deal! Banh mi sandwiches back in California would never be near a price like that. I've yet to try the other banh mi flavors like the BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, lemongrass sausage, garlic honey sausage, and shredded pork skin. Overall, delicious food, affordable prices... Thats why I gave this place a high rating. I will definitely be back in the future to load up on other delicious Vietnamese goods.

Yelp
Got the banh mi thap cam. Delicious and cheap Vietnamese subs! The pickled carrots and radish is my favourite part.

Yelp
Super tasty authentic Banh Mi. Many options. Very affordable food available here small sandwich (which is a good size and two people can share) is only $3.50. Ladies are very efficient and you can get in and out with tourniquet in under 3 minutes. I love this place and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Perfect car ride snack during my road trip! Located in Chinatown. Cash only. The building your sandwich in front of you right after your order. Assorted Cold Cut Sandwich, large - $3 - Good mix of viet deli meat. Huge sandwich and so cheap compared to back home. BBQ Pork Sandwich, large - $3.75 - Well seasoned pork. Worked well with the pickled veggies. Eggroll - $1.25 - Big eggroll. Pork and veggies were good. Pricey for an eggroll even after the US conversion rate. Viet Coffee - $2 - Terrible! They use granulated sugar and crappy coffee to make this. Nothing was good about this at all. Would have been a 4 if this coffee did not suck so much!

Yelp
Cheap and legit banh mi... perfect for grabbing on the go if you want something cheap and filling. No idea what spreads they put in there.. looks kinda scary but tastes good and my stomach didn't have problems afterwards so safe to say it was allll good... Wish there were more pickled veggies in there though and that the spiciness was spread evenly throughout the sandwich. Would def be back to try all the other items they have to offer!

Yelp
I've been addicted to their Banh MI which I pick up from t&t... I think theyre the same because they looked the exact same and had the same packaging. Only difference was the price. T&t is $1.50 more plus tax. At this location, I was delighted to see so many options!!! I choose the bbq chicken. I got it in a paper bag but promptly put it in my own sandwich bag. Ate it the next day and it was fantastic. I was expecting a bbq pork taste but the bbq sauce was like a sweet soy sauce flavour. The spicy was a perfect amount. I loved the cucumbers... I've already decided to come back next week to try the shrimp cake and bother flavour of Banh MI. YUMMY!! A must try for anyone.

Yelp
$2 for Small Banh Mi. $2.50 for Large Banh Mi. Small store filled with loads of Meats, Ready to eat meals, Snacks, Desserts and Banh Mi. Prices are very reasonable and their sandwiches are prepared well. They offer a number of different Vietnamese Sandwiches (ie. Garlic Honey Sausage, Lemongrass Sausage, Shredded Chicken, Meatball, BBQ Pork, Sardine, Vegetarian). One of my favorites are the Assorted Sandwich. The baguette is slightly toasty and chewy. Once you purchase your sandwich, I suggest you eat it as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the harder the baguette seems to get. It's not the best baguette out there but still good. The meats were flavorful. The veggies were fresh for the most part. Cilantro was a bit bruised. Overall, a tasty and memorable banh mi. There is no seating available. This is a grab and go kind of place. You can ask an employee to wrap the veggies that come with the sandwiches separately. This way the veggies won't make the baguette soggy by the time you are ready to eat your sandwich. You have the option of getting your sandwich spicy (w/ jalapeños) or not. Everything in the store looked so good. Next time, I'm going straight for their ready to eat meals and desserts. It's really packed in here and the store is small. Things can get a bit disorganized. Do your best to get an employees attention. Service is speedy. Looking for a quick bite? Don't want to spend a whole lot? Nguyen Huong to the rescue.

Yelp
Fresh sandwiches. Low price at $2.50 for a small and $3 for a large(r), tax included. Pick your meat, pick your spice, done. Note that they just drop a whole chili pepper on you, and not hot sauce, so they're not playing around. They also have other meats available for sale, as well as packaged meals that are pretty affordable as well. Great place to drop by to pick up a snack.

Yelp
Fun fact: Banh Mi Nguyen Huong owners are the parents of Banh Mi Boys! Delicious cheap eats! Who doesn't love that? A staple in my family ever since I could remember. My family would come here every time we are downtown Chinatown. Over the years, you will see a price increase but very little, barely even noticeable. A large Banh Mi is only 3.50 - that's tax included. They have probably the most authentic Vietnamese food in Toronto. Many childhood favourites. The staff members are super efficient, in and out just like that. Very little wait. They only take cash here so make sure you hit up an ATM before snooping through the shop.

Yelp
Apparently this place is well known for their cheap Vietnamese sandwiches, which are $2.5 for a small and $3 for a large. You first choose the type of meat you want, and then they will fill it up with favoured, shredded carrots, parsley, and sauces. You can request to not add in the hot sauce because according to my friend who got hers with it, it's VERY spicy. I got mine with shredded pork skin and it tasted really good. The small size was enough for lunch. Would definitely come again for the cheap food!

Yelp
I used to have their banh mi every time my family and I visited Toronto. We went for many summers when I was a kid. So their banh mi brings back many good memories. My husband and I tried banh mi doi long (lemongrass sausage), thap cam (assorted cold cuts), ga nuong (bbq chicken), and cha pate opla (eggs, pork, pate). The lemongrass sausage is delicious and our favorite of the 4 that we got. The meat was very fragrant with lemongrass and moist. We also got 'chao tom' already packed in the refrigerated section. My least favorite thus I took away one of their star. The flavor was good but the inside was not fully cooked. The package came with 3 sausages and all 3 were uncooked on the inside. Since we were traveling, we didn't have access to a toaster oven or microwave. Perhaps, reheating will fully cook the inside. The 'banh cong' was delicious. My husband hadn't had one in many years so, needless to say, he was super excited that they had it. The lady at the counter asked if we were traveling through the city, which we were. Then she went on to discourage him from buying it bc we can't toast it up. She said the taste won't be the same if it is not heated up. She agreed to heat it up for us with the condition that we eat it right away to ensure the taste. We thought this experience was pretty cool as she was concern about the taste of it rather making money selling it. Overall, a great experience for us. Will return. However their store hours are not displayed on their windows or their website..
