Been scheming to come here since I spotted it on my way to work because it's never open when I pass by in the mornings. Today was the day. There were a couple of people ahead of me. The line moved quickly. I opted for roast pork based on the staff member's recommendation. I've noticed this filling in particular differs from place to place, especially if it's house made. The pork was well seasoned. Instead of shoving big chunks of pork in a baguette they've thought about it and cut it up into little pieces so it's bite sized. Chilli is offered as a fresh paste - a must imo. The pork skin sprinkled on top was crunchy & just divine. The bahn mi's are made fresh to order. I didn't need to wait long. Take away only - there are no tables. Busy spot. After you order you'll need to scoot out of the way to wait on the footpath & out of everyone's way. I recommend eating it asap as it's freshly toasted. It comes in a paper bag which is useful for eating on the go. They also sell drinks here.

Average banh mi. I had the bbq pork banh mi with fresh chilli. Service was good and it was ready super quick. There was a decent amount of pork for the price of $8. Bread roll was hot and toasted which I loved. However, the flavour was quite bland/dry. I couldn’t tell if there was any pate/Mayo/seasoning which is so crucial to capturing that beautiful banh mi flavour you expect, so whilst the veg was fresh and noticeable I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it that much. For $8 it is good value for money but a bit disappointed nonetheless.

Honestly just shocked. Got my order delivered and it looks like my food has been sitting there for a week! I ordered the ‘crackling’ pork noodle salads and got banh Mi’s instead which were very dry and had no redeeming quality considering they were $3 more than the bread rolls. The Vietnamese iced coffees I ordered were $5.50 each and looked and smelt spoilt with milk curdling on top and on the side. Not to mention they were 3/4 filled! Just very disappointed and very appalled by the food safety standard of this place.

I had some pretty enjoyable banh mi from Banh Mi Now last year but hadn't been back for a while. The cravings hit right when I have been away from the CBD thanks an extended bout of working from home. But with Queensland relaxing its stay home restrictions last weekend (allowing people to leave their home for recreational reasons) my family went for a picnic in town, and my pick of takeaway food was a grilled chicken banh mi ($6.90) from this store. The owner also kindly treated my son to some of their spring rolls and from my sample they were definitely a treat to the taste buds, as was the banh mi which I could hardly wait to tuck into. I'm not sure whether I want to go back to work at the office anytime soon, but when that eventually happens at least it'll be with the knowledge that some great banh mi options are only a few minutes' walk away from work.

First of all can you guys all take photos of what you are going to actually serve us? Don’t promise me one thing and deliver something completely different as my photos show. Went there early on a Saturday hoping for a nice fresh crispy pork roll. The pork definitely wasn’t out of the oven that morning as it was dry and old. The roll was toasted with the fresh herbs in it...why are shops doing this? It defeats the purpose of fresh herbs and makes the coriander and spring onions horrible. After reading the reviews on this place I was really looking forward to it but alas just another overrated banh mi joint in Brisbane. The more popular this food trend is becoming the worse the rolls are getting and they are starting to get crazy in their prices too. I had my first one in Melbourne 40 years ago and have had thousands in my lifetime so this isn’t my first rodeo.

Loved the Bahn Mi. The staff's behaviour was also lovely. Quick tip, eat the bahn mi as soon as they make them. If you eat it later, it does not taste as good. It is very crispy and satisfying. I would have given them 5 stars if it was less sweet. The fried onion was a little too sweet for my taste.

Unfortunately I have to say that I lost my fav banh mi spot in cbd. This place turned from an a absolute delight to a living hell for banh mi lovers now. Banh mi now? More like Banh mi hell 😡 It used to be so good, the service was fantastic and the food was spectacular. I don’t even know what I was getting the other day. Probably the biggest disappointment? They served us the saddest roll of crackling pork ever, loose, tiny pieces of pork that aren’t cracking at all, nor flavoured (I was expecting big, juicy chunks of cracking pork that they used to served), 3 pieces of coriander even though I asked for extra herbs, awesome fresh chillies is gone, replaced by some mediocre store-brought chilli sauce that ain’t even spicy. Oh did I mentioned the price? They charged us for almost $10 on card for one sad roll. Honestly don’t understand why this place changed so drastically, won’t be back again. And a lesson well-learned, check the most recent reviews before you go guys.

We know that the business is under new ownership. However, these banh mis are still far better than other banh mis in town. Please keep up the good work, and keep original! ================================ We ordered online earlier than their opening hours on a Saturday and could not reach them until around midday. Later, we found out that they don't open on weekends thesedays (but our orders went through). However, they not only apologised for the delay but also delivered their superb banh mi goodness to our door on their day off. Although we didn't get fully what we ordered (missed a meatball banh mi, but we can get it next time), we did enjoy everything they provided us. They've just earned two more loyal customes today.
