Banh Mi Saigon

Eddy W.

Google
Banh Mi Saigon in Vancouver is a popular spot for Vietnamese sandwiches, known for their fresh, crispy, and soft bread, generous fillings, and affordable prices. Customers rave about the #1 Special and other filling options, and many consider it the best banh mi in Vancouver. The bread is consistently praised for its freshness, crispiness on the outside, and soft, chewy interior. It is made in house. Yes that’s right, in house from scratch. Expect lineups, especially during peak hours, as the shop is popular. It's important to note that Banh Mi Saigon is a cash-only establishment. In summary: Banh Mi Saigon is a highly recommended spot for delicious, affordable, and generously filled Vietnamese sandwiches, with a focus on fresh bread and a variety of flavorful options. Believe me, you’re known to be the best when you don’t cut corners. This place mastered their craft.

Google
Looking for a quick breakfast that’s still tasty and satisfying? Banh mi is the move, and this shop delivers. They offer a good variety of options at affordable prices, and my sandwich came out fast—about five minutes in and out. The owner at the counter is lovely and friendly, and she remembered my order. She does try to upsell a Vietnamese coffee every time—honestly, not the worst temptation before 9 a.m. Quick tip: they hand you a receipt with an order number; listen for the last two digits when your banh mi is ready.

Google
The banh mi are delicious! I absolutely love it! The iced coffee is very bitter and it doesn’t taste as good, there are better iced coffees out there. I’ve noticed they also increased the pricing as well. Not a big deal. The reason for the 2 star review was actually because of something I witnessed in the past. I’ve never thought to put a review until now. A young girl was trying to speak Vietnamese to the tall bald man. It’s clear she’s grown up in Canada and hasn’t been taught by her parents. The man was incredibly demeaning and said “You can just speak English.” I spoke to the girl, she’s 15…. She’s trying to learn so she can speak to her dad since he’s always working and busy. That’s heartbreaking. I wouldn’t blame her if she chooses to stop learning the language her parents were too busy to taught her. She just wanted to learn so she can bond with her parents. The food is great! The man is unfortunately not. Everyone is kind and respectful but not him.

Google
This is a Vancouver staple and a must try. Traveled for over 2 years in south east Asia including living in Vietnam for 4 months. After returning I still think they have some of the best banh mi’s ever. Quick and no nonsense style service. Tons of unique combinations and still affordable. Newer additions like Vietnamese Bao with all the authentic fixings. Staple drinks like the 3 color dessert or lighter liquids like grass jelly and Basil seeds. If you do make the trip, make sure to buy at least 4 to go. Fridge it up for the next day is still good to go. Last but not least, they Accept Debit now! ( 10 yrs in the making or? ) ATM trips No More!

Kathe J.

Google
bought a lemongrass pork sandwich, the pork had almost no seasoning and flavor. And half way through, the pork is not even cooked.. raw pork contains Taenia solium (pork tapeworm), Trichinella spiralis (trichinosis), and harmful bacteria (like Salmonella, E. coli, Yersinia). This is very dangerous!! Pork is unlike beef, raw pork is not edible!!!!!!!!!

Kanako S.

Google
Tasty banh mi in fresh crunchy bread! They also have lots of interesting drinks such as sugar cane, pennywort, and kalamansi. They were all very refreshing and great for a hot summer day! My fav combination was meatball banh mi with 6 colour drink/ dessert! This busy place is a take-out only deli with no eat in space. Cash/ debit only.

Google
In my ongoing quest to find my favourite banh mi, I find myself coming back to this place again and again. Not only are they reasonably priced, but their portions are great. Most importantly, I love the bread here; it's substantial, crusty, and fresh. I may have found my end game.

Yelp
I finally got to try this banh mi shop and let me tell you, I was 100,% blown away! Perfectly fresh bread, amazingly delicious ingredients, the perfect ratio of veggie to protein, and all done in laser focused efficiency. I went with the Special (Dac biet) and it was a great choice for a first time. I'll definitely be back to try the other types of sandwiches here for sure! They also have some very delicious looking buns and a lot of great drinks! Sorry, no photos today, I ate it too quickly

Yelp
Just finished a 14km bike ride and I was lucky to ride past. The sandwiches are always so fresh and never disappoints. Everything is prepared in house.

Yelp
This is a very legit sandwich spot. They make the bread just the way I enjoyed in Vietnam. I love the longer, thinner veneered crust. It cracks as you bite it. They layer in so many ingredients for the special #1, it's a party in my mouth. There are 3 or 4 meats with veggies and thin slivers of jalapeno. The place is a well oiled machine as all the staff have job and they go about as quickly as they can. As I sat and ate my sandwich in the car I saw over a dozen people go in and out. There is no ambiance for a take out counter but it is clean, that counts!

Ashley C.

Yelp
Honestly I used to love this place, recently they have been shady and HARD selling on their side plates unethically. I went in for 4 banh mis and they asked if i wanted spring rolls. I said no, and paid, but noticed the price was much more than usual but thought I just did the math wrong. Turns out they charged me for the spring rolls i explicitly said No to, and when i said i didnt ask for them they said "well you already paid". I was shocked honestly- they may as well have taken my money out of my wallet. Tldr horrible business ethics, very disappointed.

Yelp
Each Banh Mi is packed full. You can customize the sandwich if you don't like something. I enjoyed the chicken with no mayo, and also the pulled pork
google avatar

Daeyong R.

Yelp
I bought two Banh Mi subs. One Special #1the other Lemon grass pork #9. I also got two meat pies, 4 pork buns and 2 large spring rolls. The people working there were very kind and they made the subs very quick and efficiently. The subs were so delicious. The pork buns were packed with all kinds of meats and the bun was soft and fluffy. The meat pie has a nice flaky crust with delicious meat inside. The spring rolls was filled with fresh vegetables and three large prawns. Amazing!!! I highly recommend this place. Sorry about the mostly eaten sub as I was super hungry!!! :/
google avatar

Leona V.

Yelp
This place is kind of like target, you come in for one thing you end up with a whole basket. They will always promote their other items like freshly made che and spring rolls. They only accept cash. Smaller store with a designated waiting area. Service is quick. The pate chaud looks super flaky but I didn't get one because they were left open and cold on the counter. The special banh mi (#1) was good! I don't think most places add xiu mai to their dac biet versions. Huge sandwich that barely fits in the bag. I would skip their ba chi banh mi, the bacon cuts are usually mostly fat.
google avatar

Anisa W.

Yelp
Their banh mi are sooo worth the $8, it was massive (at least a ft long i feel) I was also craving banh mi so it was delicious on a sunny sunny day
google avatar

Leslie C.

Yelp
They take order ahead but service is super quick. We got the special and lemon grass pork banh mi - both $8. Both are delicious with the bread being super fresh and crispy. Special banh mi is better than the pork. What a hidden gem. 10/10 would come back again for more take out! Don't forget, cash only.
google avatar

Mari E.

Yelp
I understand the price is getting higher little by little, like $0.25 more at least every year, But I would say their bahn mi is so huge. Quality is the same, and they serve home made fresh baguette. Those are positive parts of this store. A Cashier? Owner lady and big tattooed guy who is in charge of cashier are never friendly. I never heard their "thank you" to the customers. But the sandwich makers girls are so friendly and polite.
google avatar

Ellen H.

Yelp
The banh mi would likely be just as good as the last time I bought from here if they have vegetables in there. This was a large order for a neighbourhood non-profit organization, every single sandwich was missing vegetables in there. It was obviously a mistake, but it is still disappointing.

Michelle N.

Yelp
People who work there are terribly rude. I have encountered their rudeness several times when they talked to me, called me to come get the baguettes with a tone just like calling a child even though I am a senior. Believe they don't really respect customers at all. Besides, the sanitary of the shop does not look good. The baguettes also look obviously smaller and smaller.

Yelp
We always go here for great Vietnamese Sandwiches and for the quick service. Super friendly staff who encourages you to buy other items such as egg rolls and their giant "banh bao" aka meat bun. What can I say....I was a sucker and bought 4 buns......they were fluffy and perfect. Typical deli style location with a Vietnamese market vibe. Quick in an quick out...better know what you want or move out of the line. Our latest visit was bit disappointing because the food tasted a bit too salty....otherwise, it would have received a 5 star. The siu mai banh mi also tasted like it had the same meat mix as the banh bao.....which kinda ruined it for me but otherwise, the other options are still good. Would we come back, of course! The bread is still the best you can find once you're in the area. Easy lunch/snack before heading to the nearby parks

Yelp
Victoria Drive has many Viet Resturants to get Banh Mis from, but Banh Mi Saigon might be the most well-known one as they sell out every day with lines of loyal customers.  Banh Mi Saigon offers many items, such as spring rolls, juices, their homemade drinks, and occasionally buns. They bake their baguttes themselves every day to make sure you get the freshest ones. They have many choices of toppings; my girlfriend's favorite was lemon grass pork, she wishes they had lemon grass chicken instead, as that's the standard one. Mine is always the special. I love to taste different flavors of meat, as every restaurant's specials are unique. One thing I'd mention is that I dislike how hard the baguettes are. It is common for Banh Mis to have hard baguettes; I just prefer ones that wouldn't break the roof of my mouth while making a mess eating them.  This Banh Mi shop used to be beloved by many; some would even drive from other cities to buy tens of them for their friends and family. Since the prices of rent and ingredients have increased, they seem to have cut back on how much they put inside the sandwiches with increased prices.

Yelp
Enjoyed the sandwiches and the 6 color drinks. Fresh bread and ingredients. Didn't know what headcheese was, this was in one of special sandwiches. It was tasty, but texture was different for me. Next time, I visit I'll try something less exotic. The 6 colors drink was colorful and iced and refreshing. It satisfied my sweet tooth and thirst on the warm day

Yelp
love banh mi sandwiches and so glad i got to try one while in vancouver. i read this place usually has a line but when we came, it was empty. it was on a weekday early lunch. not sure how this place is on weekends. my husband and i shared #1, special. it was so big! the bread tasted so fresh: it was crispy on outside but the inside was so soft. inside was full of filling, delicious! cash only!
google avatar

Yelp
xcellent spot to takeout Banh Mi. Our family is Vietnamese and my mom insists that this is the best place for Banh Mi selection and quality - and she also thinks they have the best Che Ba Mau in the city too. They have deals if you buy 10 sandwiches (get one free), and there is a selection of Banh Bao, pastries, and Goi Cuon as well. We are regulars here for take out. Great food.

Yelp
As a Vietnamese who loves banh mi, this place ruins every other banh mi place for me! Seriously sooo good and cheap! I can't eat banh mi from other place in Vancouver any more! If I want Banh Mi, it has to be from Banh Mi Saigon!!! I love the fact that its baguette bread is longer than other places! And the bread is so fresh with a crispy crust and fluffy inside. They have variety of options but my forever love is Banh Mi Ba Roi, the Vietnamese bacon one. And don't forget to get a coffee or sugar cane water for them, it's the duo to go with your banh mi. They also sell chè, a Vietnamese dessert with a variety of mixture using different types of bean, fresh fruit, pudding and jelly. Their system of one line to order one line to pick up is so effective. Even though they always have a long line, it doesn't block up the street.
google avatar

Kit Yee Y.

Yelp
I always see lineup at this banh mi shop. Finally I can come here without lineup. It's around 4pm on Saturday. The order was one special banh mi and one shredded pork one. Both tasted excellent! The ingredients were fresh especially the buns were freshly baked. The shop was very efficient. They took the order and asked you to wait outside, so next customers could go in and order theirs and there wouldn't be any congestions inside the shop. They put a speaker outside the shop and called the orders, so customers could go in and pick up their banh mi. It's a very good and efficient way to do business. Their service was fast as well. Customers and I didn't have to wait too long. The banh mi would be ready. The banh mi was like a foot long, so I had to split it for two meals. Due to high inflation, the pricing has gone up a bit. But it's still worth to buy and eat it

Yelp
.....there is no seating at this place so it is take it to go....I have posted the latest menu and prices as of Aug/2023.....ordered 3 drinks(mango, iced tea, passionfruit) and 4 sandwiches (shredded pork, special, cold cut, lemongrass pork) and 2 pork pastries...they also have steamed white buns which I will have to try next time I visit....from ordering to paying to having the sandwiches out the door was very quick....for me this is a easy recommend...

Yelp
I could not use my credit card or debit card from the states. I have been trying to go to Banh Mi Saigon for the last year and they finally were open and I still couldn't purchase any items due to how they have their payment system set up. In the good note the ambiance was nice and to food looked good.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
This was my go-to banh mi place because it was good, portion size was decent and price was right. The prices increased so much the last few years. It's now $8 for a sandwich and they are chintzy on the meat. This place used to have line ups all the time but it's dead now every time I walk or drive by. The increase in price is enough to turn people away. I can see why people aren't going there anymore. I stopped going there too.

Yelp
I picked up two banh mi for my flight. The lady at the cashier was pushing me to buy a drink even though I declined twice. They weren't able to cut my banh mi in half when I asked, they said they don't do that (would be easier to eat on a plane). The biggest problem was their packaging. They don't have paper bags, so both my sandwich were wrapped in an elastic band, and then placed in a SUPER thin plastic bag. I asked for another bag so I can eat it a bit easier on a plane (vs two sandwiches in one). They reluctantly gave me a small bag (which doesn't even fit one sandwich). As I walked out, the original big bag ripped from the bottom bc of the bread. I went back in and showed them the ripped bag. They were so rude and said we already gave you an extra bag. I re-emphasized their bag is super thin and ripped. They still said no. Now I am walking through an airport with my sandwich poking out of their cheap, thin plastic bag. I don't feel safe or feel very sanitary with their beyond cheap packaging, especially during COVID.

Yelp
Great bang for your buck! You can walk away with a pretty decently sized banh mi for just 5 bucks here! My friend and I came recently on a weekday around 4:45 and there was no line. There was plenty of free parking on the side streets, so parking wasn't an issue at all either. I'm glad it wasn't crowded as it gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. Otherwise I would've felt rushed ordering, as I didn't know what anything was. I ended up asking one of the ladies which option was their most popular. She pointed out #1 dac biet, with ham, headcheese, meat ball, meat loaf, pate, mayo, soy sauce, and vegetables. I could not wrap my mind around the fact that it was only $5!! What a steal. Those ladies are super efficient. We got our subs within a minute or two of ordering and paying. We were in and out of there in no time. I'm no banh mi expert (in fact, this was only my 3rd ever), but I enjoyed this one. There was a good amount of filling inside, the various meats were tasty, and the bread was quite crunchy. I recommend eating this over a plate to not make a mess! One banh mi was too much for me, I ended up eating 3/4 and saving the last bit for the next day.

Yelp
Came here for some sandwiches before our hike. Coming from nyc i had high expectations for these sandwiches however i was slightly disappointed. The bread was good and nice and soft and crunchy at the same time. The filling was good but it was missing something and we couldnt figure out what. There just seem to be missing a flavor. Overall it was good but not great.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is like an institution. The banh mi is much bigger than other places but like most Banh mi, you will get hungry very soon despite being full after finishing it. I have tried the special and lemongrass pork Banh mi. I much prefer the special. I find the lemongrass pork to be too salty for me. I like the sauciness though. Beware the single strip of jalapeño in the sub. It is spicy. My friend recommended the tamarind juice and I ordered that. It was nice and refreshing. There is also sugarcane drink here plus other typical Vietnamese desserts. Cash only. Street parking is available. Oh there are 2 lines outside. One for ordering and one for collecting. Wait for the staff to call you in.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
I want to preface this by noting that this place has the best banh mi. From their amazing, fresh, crunchy, long bread, to the filling. You won't get one bad banh mi here. You also shouldn't come here expecting to get good service because it is just a quick order-and-go place. Having said that, there shouldn't be bad service. But unfortunately, you may encounter that. And unfortunately, more often than not. The lady manning the cashier is also the one calling people lining outside to come in to place their orders. Because she is hustling to get all the customers served in a timely manner, she will rush you when you are paying. They are cash only here but she will not like it when you give her coins. She bluntly told me to hurry up because there are people waiting outside for me to finish and that there is a line outside and I am holding up the line because I was counting my coins for her. There was only 1 group of 4 people waiting. She then told me that they have a limit of accepting only 10 coins. She will also try to upsell you. There was 1 item that was sold out and she pointed to another product of theirs and said, "this is very good, how many do you want? 2?". I mean .. props to her for trying but it was a little too aggressive. I was also taken aback by the significant raise of the prices. Perhaps they should consider accepting debit in the future as not many people carry cash these days, or that much cash.

Yelp
Life changing banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) shop at Victoria and 38. Parking is free in front but gets full. Try the side streets. This place is popular. The line up went around the corner, and people were walking out with bags of subs. Because of the coronavirus, there is now a mandatory mask rule. The lineup system is a bit confusing until I asked someone. There are 2 lines (#1 and #2). Look for the signs. Line 1 is for placing the order, and wraps around the corner. Go inside and place the order, then go back outside and wait in Line 2, which is on the R side of the entrance. Staff are friendly and quick. That kitchen sandwich making staff can really hustle. I had their #1 Dac biet (special sub). This place is authentic. Tastes just like the ones I had back in Vietnam. Nice big pieces of jalapeno and Vietnamese cold cuts. Bread is nice and dry and crunchy. We have a winner. This place also sells traditional Vietnamese drinks and coffees. They smelled really good. Will try next time. Other than Ba Le, I don't know another banh mi place with such tasty subs. In fact, this place beats out 80% of the places along Kingsway, most of which are simply mediocre. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended.

Yelp
One of the best banh mi I've ever had and it was super cheap. Went there one day to find out they were closed early due to their bread being sold out. Disappointed and defeated, we went to another place to fill our need for banh mi. It was costed twice as much as this place and it sucked. We angrily threw the bad banh mi in the trash and made sure to come back to Banh Mi Saigon early. Arrived the next day and put in our order for their combination ham banh mis and sugar cane drinks. Some of ya'll people complaining about the lady being pushy to sell more stuff but she just trying to hustle. We just said no thanks and paid, wasn't a problem at all. Come to think of it, we should have bought more stuff from her with how amazing the banh mi was. With that said, the sugar cane drink didn't taste like sugar cane. It tasted more like lemon tea than anything else.

Yelp
I wanted to try the hype and came here for a quick sunday pick me up. COVID protocols: It was nice cause they had two separate lines-- one for order and one for pickup, both of which were packed. If you're uncomfortable with lines as some people follow the 2M more than others, you might want to come back at unpopular times.Unfortunately it is cash only so keep that in mind My order: House special 5/5 Lemongrass chicken 4/5 I think it was a personal preference but I loved the cold cuts more than the lemongrass chicken-- although it was very well flavoured. Final recommendation: I would definitely come here more if it was closer to me. I would also recommend popping by at odd times if you don't wait too long in line.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! Coffee could be stronger. Owner was very friendly and the food was ready right away. The restaurant was very clean as well. However there wasn't any seating area so you would have to take out.

Yelp
By far one of the best banh mi I ever had in Vancouver. I ordered the #1 Special banh mi. Good balance between crispy bread, proportionate size meat, pickled veg and pate. I also got a tapioca banana dessert. Super yum!!

Yelp
I came because there was a hype about this place. Their prices have raised to $6 for the special sub which still isn't too bad. First to notice is that there are two lines: one for already paid and one for ordering. They will call whoever is next in line to go in to order. Then they will tell you a number which you have to remember because there is no number slip, and then you wait at the already paid side for your number to be called. Their subs are definitely crunchy which is good. Their length are longer than others. However, they skimp on toppings. Few strands of pickled daikon/carrot. One or two sprigs of cilantro. One thing I didn't like is how little pâté they gave. You can't even taste it. There is only pâté on the special sub. The special came with ground pork, 2 slices of viet deli meat, and a jelly meat (which I've never seen at other places). The lemon grass pork was also different from other places as it wasn't grilled so it was soft. The VN bacon had 1 slice of viet deli meat and some thin slices of pork belly. The pork belly was tasty. Overall, I found it very bland since they lacked on all the cheaper fillers as well. Not much mayo/pâté taste, barely any pickled veggies, 1 cucumber, 2 ciltrano, 1 jalapeño that doesnt reach the length of the sub. The pâté was very tasty whenever you get a bigger glob of it in your bite. The jelly pork was also tasty. Even the cheap viet subs at Duffin's Donuts give a lot more pickled veggies although their subs are small. But, so far nothing beats Ba Le for me. Another one I heard good things about is Ngon.

Yelp
Prices have gone up and they only take cash. Still decent size but getting expensive with the jump in price. The service is very rushed but not unexpected for a pick up and go type of place.

Yelp
Driving by, you'll often see a lineup outside of Banh Mi Saigon. So what's the deal with this place? Who would wait in line for a vietnamese sandwich? I was lucky enough to drive by and see no lineup. This was my chance to find out what the fuss was all about. The shop is no Apple Store. It's not pretty, but it sure is functional. The staff is pleasant and works quickly to get your order ready. I ordered four of their specials. Yep. Four. And they were ready in less than five minutes. Immediately, I noticed the size of the bread. It was larger than what many other banh mi shops serve up. Once I got home and took one out of it's elastic and deli paper, I knew I had made a good decision. I then gobbled it up and moved on to the second. I wish I had paid more attention to the ingredients and the taste, but it was really that good that I just ate it. I suppose that's the sign of some real good food; Getting me to stop thinking and just eating. So to answer the question of who would wait in a lineup for a sandwich? Lots of people. Lots of people who have found out that they offer some seriously delicious banh mi at reasonable prices and this lineup will now include me.

Yelp
This is one of the best bahn mi places in Vancouver I've been to! The bread is a leap ahead of other places I've tried and for $6 its a really good value for what you get. I tried the house special, chicken, and lemon grass pork and they were all delicious! At the moment due to covid measures you'll need to line up on the left side outside of the store to order and they will give you a number after you pay (CASH ONLY). Then you'll wait outside on the right side of the store until they call your number up to pick up.

Yelp
I love all their banh mi!!! My favorite has always been their dac biet sandwich... whenever i am home first thing I walk in the door :) best Vietnamese sandwich in town no competitors. Anybody wants authentic Vietnamese sandwiches come here:) definitely will satisfy your craving.

Yelp
I absolutely love Banh Mi Saigon! For the longest time, my parents have been buying sandwiches here but I never knew the name of the restaurant but now I can officially say it is one of my top favourite places for Vietnamese sandwiches! My favourite is the cold cut sandwich, it has a variety of meats and Vietnamese ham and has delicious paté, mayo and pickled vegetables that are so crunchy! They do such an amazing job with putting so much meat (thick cuts too) into the sandwich and it is so filling! The bread here is also delicious, it has a nice crunch and the butter and mayo spread they put onto the sandwich makes it taste and smell so good you want to keep eating more! I really want to try more items on their menu!

Yelp
Been there 10+ times now in the past 3 months. All good, and therefore a perfect 10 for consistency. Winner: Lemongrass pork and LG chicken. Ask for spicy for that extra kick. If you're vegetarian, they have something for you too. Staff is friendly, and during COVID, it's simple to call ahead and then pick up your order on arrival. Just make sure you have cash. They don't take any cards. The bread is always crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. The pickled veggies that go inside are just right. I had it sitting in the car and I was salivating already! Today, I couldn't eat it until 2 hours after pick up and it was still good. Back for more of the rest of the menu!

Yelp
I had the pork. Good portion of pork and baguette. I wish they added jalapeño. One of top three bahn mi sandwiched I have ever had.

Yelp
Yep, still the best. Freshly baked bread. Excellent choices. Eight bucks. Seriously, what's not to like. Please ignore the so called Elite Yelpers. What makes them know it all's? Annoying pretentious twats.

Yelp
Subs are good but prices gone up and less filling then before which makes them don't taste so good anymore. Absolutely no customer service. The owner is very firm about it and not very friendly except when they want you to buy more. They have a sign that says "too busy to cut the subs in half". So bring your own knife.

Yelp
I've had Banh Mi Saigon on a few occasions and it never disappoints! The #1 House Special Duc Biet is my favourite and go-to sandwich. The sandwiches are larger than usual, the bread is always baked fresh, and they have high quality ingredients. I enjoyed the sandwich recently when we went to Minnekhada Park and hiked up to High Knoll. I had the sandwich tied to the side of my backpack and pretty much devoured it when we reached the top. It was so good.. absolutely delicious! If you need a Banh mi fix, this is a great spot for it!

Yelp
- cold cut banh mi = $5.50 - 《Chungry Rating = 10/10》 My favourite banh mi spot, right on Victoria Drive and East 38th Ave! You've probably driven past Banh Mi Saigon and noticed the long lineups that wrap all the way around the corner. Let me say that their food is definitely worth the wait. It's hard to compete with their amazing quality and low costs. The balance between the ingredients in the banh mi is perfect. With each bite you get a little bit of the pate, the cold cut meats, and the pickled carrots and daikon. Not to mention the kick from the jalapeños too! A perfect spot for a quick lunch or late breakfast, if you buy 10, the 11th sandwich is free! Call in first and pre-order to beat the lines!

Yelp
This rating is more a 4.5. We got to experience the highest rated Banh Mi in Vancouver for the first time last weekend for Mother's Day and boy were these banh mi sandwiches TASTY! We tried to House Special Banh Mi and the Lemongrass Pork Banh Mi. I honestly love me a good typical banh mi (which I would consider the house special) because it's got the cold cuts and pate. To our surprise, we actually LOVED and enjoyed the lemongrass pork more that the House Special! The bread was flaky and fresh (they had actually run out of bread and had to make more, so ours was still warm). The flavour of the pork was phenomenal. The house was good, but while eating it the flavour of pate was strong (so you have to actually like the taste of pate) and I kind of wished there was a little bit more pickled carrot/radish on both sandwiches for that ultimate delicious salty sweet fresh combo. Just a little more!

Yelp
This is still my go to place for banh mis but I gotta knock off a star after my last visit. Whenever I go here I usually order one or two subs. It's usually always busy and sometimes you gotta wait a bit which I don't really mind. But on my last visit I decided to call in my order, just one sub. I called in about 20 minutes in advance. When I got there, I still had to wait like ten minutes for my one sub.....so isn't the idea to order in advance so you don't have to wait????

Yelp
Have always been meaning to get something from here, but I never have time in the morning and they're closed before I get off work. Very efficient COVID ordering process - line-up to order, and then transition into another line to pickup. Got their house special and a regular chicken Bahn Mi and both were great - though I liked the Dac Biet better. They have a number of other options too, will have to try the lemongrass pork one next time.
