We had a fun night here. We first got a seat at the bar, they asked us if horsemeat was okay, a little odd but I guess a lot of people are picky with their meats. We ordered Hotpot and then got a table because it was not possible to eat hotpot at the bar, this was a much better seat. The food was good, we had two types of horsemeat, different types of mushroom and vegetables. I loved the meat and mushrooms, the veggies were a little bit simple. We also had a sake tasting (3 glasses each) I would recommend. It was a little bit on the pricey side but overall really good!

Banikuman, located in Nagano, offers a dining experience that celebrates one of the region’s specialties: horse meat. I had the horse meat sashimi set. The set features five cuts from different parts of the horse, including the tongue. Each cut had its own unique texture—some were slightly chewy while others were softer—but all were fresh and flavorful. Despite horse meat being lean, it was surprisingly quite tasty. As an appetizer, I tried the boiled horse intestine. The intestine was tender, and the soup, with its hint of sweetness, was both comforting and delicious.

First time trying horse meat! Everything was so premium, quality meat, everything melted in my mouth. The horse meat sushi was the best during our dinner

Excellent restaurant serving only horse meat as main course. Had sashimi horse meat and horse meat shabu shabu. Staff there were helpful and nice. Excellent service and excellent food. Those passing through Nagano and don’t mind trying horse meat (taste like beef) can consider this restaurant. Kudos to the waitress who served us this evening (10Dec2019) with a smile and was very helpful.

Excellent service, and that oh-so-delicious food. There wasn't a single dish that didn't hit the spot. Loved the apple wine. A bit costly, but very well worth it.

Enjoyed the experience Sashi better than expected. Expensive. Seasoning on child of bee, etc. was a bit redundant and heavy
