Bank Bar & Bistro

Skip the wineries and go directly to The Bank Bar. The drinks are superb! The service is excellent! The atmosphere is cozy and hip. The bathrooms are very clean and unisex. The drinks might be a little expensive for the average person. However, it is worth a try!

They had a huge selection of martinis and the two we had were very good, however very pricey. The bartenders were great and very friendly. Besides the price of the drinks, the reason for the 3 star rating was the fact that the bartenders two friends were there and very very VERY drunk and one of them would not leave us alone and was quite inappropriate. Yes its a bar, but it would've been nice if the bartenders would've asked their friend to move away from the patrons. There was a small group of younger women that left, obviously very uncomfortable with the unwanted attention from the two men.

So glad to see this place reopened under new ownership I believe. Such a cool building. We tried a couple of their Paninis. I had that chipotle chicken and she had the bacon cheese chicken. They were both good and run $9 each. They come with a bag of potato chips as the side. I would have preferred a little more choice for the sides. We also tried one of their cocktails which was a caramel Apple type of drink. It was really good. They also have other sandwiches and flatbreads, as well as some pizza. we would certainly go back.

I stayed in Hermann for the first time last weekend and spent both nights ending it at The Bank. The martini's were so good with a great variety of drinks. Service and atmosphere couldn't have been better!

We visited Herman for our 32nd Anniversary in April 2023. One of the best things about our visit was our stop at the Bank Bistro & Bar. While listening to the live music, we ate a delicious pizza and then I ordered the Chocolate Covered Strawberry drink. That beverage is by far the Best beverage I have ever had! Absolutely perfect!!

We went here for drinks. They have a delicious assortment of shots, with the pickle shots being absolutely amazing!! We really like the German chocolate cake shot also!! The Lion King drink is quite sweet though. Tasty, but too sweet to be satisfying. :) Staff are great!

Dorothy was the best. She made our morning awesome. Made the best latte my husband has had and was so pleasant. Hailey and Maddie were so helpful about the town. The food was great. We stayed in the loft and from food, service, and stay this is number one!! Thank you.

A surprise for the day. We stopped because of hunger. This place has great food, very friendly service and the atmosphere is from the 1800’s. The original wood floors and interior brick walls gives a feeling of long ago. You will remember this place and will want to come back when you visit Hermann again. Jen was our service provider. this is a really cool place that just reopened in downtown Hermann. It's Smack dab in the middle of the historic district, so it's walkable from many of the area guest houses and B&Bs. They have several signature cocktails. We tried one that was a caramel apple type of drink that was really good, especially since it is fall and chilly outside. The building is historic and used to be a bank and hardware store years ago. The interior exposed brick walls make this a real charming place to have a drink or grab a quick bite to eat. The menu is somewhat limited. They have a couple of Paninis, flatbreads and one or two choices on different sizes of pizzas. They also have some other sandwiches as well. I got the chipotle chicken Panini and she got a bacon cheddar chicken Panini. Both were good (we always share). The chipotle chicken was topped with tomatoes lettuce and onion and it was a really good sandwich. Both sandwiches only come with potato chips as a side. I wish there was a little more choice than a bag Premade chips. The sandwiches will set you back about $9 each, And the cocktail was 10 bucks. This is a fabulous addition to the downtown area and one more place to get a quick bite. Currently they're open most days of the week until 7 PM. they also have several choices for coffees in the morning.

Phenomenal dessert and coffee drinks. I had the German Chocolate Cake and Energizer Bunny. It's a cute little place, perfect for a Saturday afternoon. We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and fast. I'll come back if I ever return to Hermann. It didn't look at all like a bank. Perhaps I was confused. Since the drinks are very rich, two is about all you can do, but they are with it.

Asked the bartender which shots were good. Bartender made them into cocktails instead and charged triple the price.

Went to this Bar & Bistro for the Braunschweiger Ball. Drinks were awesome. Try the Chocolate Covered Strawberry, It's fantastic. All drinks were a little light on alcohol but were still tasty. Food was good. Pizza was a decent size but cost was a touch above normal. You had to place your order at the bar, I guess due to staffing but that seems to be the norm in the country these days. As for the Ball itself, it was disappointing. 2 entries & they called it a draw. The lady who won last year & the restaurant itself were the entrants. The winner from last year made a badge with the number of the detective who was slain earlier in the month, as they were friends, & used blue torilla chips to serve. What a delicious taste it was. My opinion was she should have won hands down. The one from the restaurant was mediocre at best. They had a band playing & we got to heaar them do their warm up & a few set songs. They had some technical difficulties so they stopped after 3 songs into their set. Sorry to say but I hope the band has a good paying day job. Overall I would say it was good but not a place I would frequent if I lived in Hermann.

The baby yoda drink and marg were fantastic. The assistant manager was beyond server/bar/hostess measure. She went above and beyond when one of our friends had a diabetic problem. She was quick and efficient. We would highly recommend. Oh and the pretzel and beer cheese was good too! Nothing beats their service and she was there solo for a minute.
