Bank Ground Farm

The cosy, comfy cottages have everything you need with exceptional views over the lake and hills. |We really enjoyed the delicious BBQ food and breakfast provided by the farm.|Jonathan and his team were so friendly and helpful.|We had an amazing stay as there are so many walks and interesting things to do in the area. A quick dip in Lake Coniston followed by a sauna was a highlight.

This was the most perfect stay we have ever been on! John and Rob, and the entire catering team, were so kind and considerate. They were so welcoming and supported us with any request. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay; from the kayaks, to the constant tea to the hearty breakfasts. We are without a shadow of a doubt returning here, as it was the best stay. Thank you for everything!!

Stunning views of the lake, and so lovely to be able to wander down to the lakeside so easily. We loved our stay here, the room was cosy and instantly felt like home, the breakfasts were lovely, and it was a real treat to have so much home grown produce. |Thank you so much for our stay!

We stayed over Easter! The views are incredible, cottage was cosy and loved having a fire every night. But the real highlight was the food, best meal we have ever had in the UK! Thanks Johnathan and Team :)

Stayed at Bank Ground Farm for a week in late April, early May. Wonderful experience. Great accommodations and food. Was able to walk to Brantford and Coniston. Highly recommend it.

Gorgeous location, stunning views, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Tired decor and dated en- suites let it down somewhat.

I absolutely loved my stay at Bank Ground Farm. It's in a beautiful setting overlooking Conniston Lake with the majestic fells in the background. The atmosphere was very peaceful, relaxing and welcoming. I arrived late and my room door had been left open with the light on which felt very homely. Jonathon and the staff were very warm, kind and offered great local advice. I enjoyed good walks from the door, relaxing with books and enjoying the delicious hearty food. The food was very good, the scrambled eggs were amazing and also the cakes and home cooked delights. It's also much quieter than other parts of the lakes. A true gem of a place! Thank you!

Our stay at Bank Ground Farm was an absolute dream!! We loved the little cottage and the views and access to Coniston Water, and the friendly fluffy sheep. It seemed like a fairytale the whole time we were there. They also offered breakfast each morning which helped set us up for a lovely day enjoying the Lake District. There’s so much history in this beautiful farmhouse as it is the place where Arthur Ransome wrote Swallows and Amazons! We hope to return here someday soon :)
