This lodge is a nice slice of Scotland, not a cookie cutter, could be anywhere hotel; it feels more like you are staying at someone’s home. Great location near all the shops and restaurants of Fort William, a great place to sleep after hiking up Ben Nevis (yes, I did that!), or taking a ride on the Jacobite, or just enjoying this quaint village.
It’s not ritzy, but it’s home. The basics are there, and it’s a great bargain versus some of the other places in town. An extra long table by the door would have helped a lot, as there are not a lot of places to put things.
No AC, but you rarely need that in Scotland. I was perfectly comfortable. The bed was, eh, a bed. Not the most comfortable, but it did not prevent me from falling asleep each night.
I liked my stay very much, and if ever in Fort William again, I would most certainly consider staying there.
