Location is good and free parking which was great. Reception staff were nice and friendly. Only complaint heater in the room didn’t work the best, it struggled to heat room fully and was bit noisy.

Loved our stay here. Perfect location a short walk from bus and train. The cinema/cafe, seafood, bakery and bar are also nearby. Good views from the hill, good friendly workers, and a fair price. Served as a nice base for some hikes.

Great place to stay! Comfy bed, clean room and bathroom. Nice selection of coffee and tea with a couple of biscuits... which is always a nice touch. Friendly service from both guys on the desk. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfy bed. Easy access. Friendly staff. Central location. Clean. However, no side tables, no seating except a fold up chair. No place to put your luggage to unpack except the floor. No shelves for chargers or kit bag. No hot water tap in the tiny wash basin. Barr bones.

This is exactly what you're looking for if you're traveling on a budget. Everything you need. Hasn't been updated but clean. You'll never see your room anyway the view is stunning.

Way overpriced for what you get. The room was terrible, the bed was uncomfortable, all the floors in the entire building squeak whenever anybody walks around so I hope you're not a light sleeper. The TV was tiny, 12 in and the speaker sounded like it was from the 1950s. I've stayed in some real dumps in my day, but usually they're pretty cheap. This place was charging a ton of money and gives you nothing in return. Stay away.

Location is very good just up the hill from the main street in Fort Wiliiam except for the climb that could seem like climbing Everest. Car parking just across the road. Chargeable, or under the accommodation first come first served. No food, simple lodgings. Was allocated room 9 for accessibly issues but ended up with room 6 which needed tackling a flight of stairs. We managed just. Room was a good size but lacking furniture small table or extra chair would have helped. As a result everything had to packed and unpacked daily. The bathroom was a good size and shower was nice too. The loo roll holder was in a funny place that meant you has to be double jointed to use but we adapted and managed. Would we use again? Maybe. It was quite costly but I suppose it was the height of the season. The creaky floor boards!! I'd shoot the joiner and builder that that!!!

Perfect location , friendly staff, parking convenient, all in all perfect for basing your visit to fort William or Ben Nevis. I would recommend this property to my friends and family coming to the region for the local attractions or as a base to visit Ben Nevis.

Yelp
True to its marketing description as "comfortable and affordable," this hostel-turned-hotel certainly doesn't have many frills. What it may lack in "luxury" accommodation, however, is certainly made up for in location, being just around the corner from the main drag of shops and restaurants in Fort William. Of note, the car park is quite small, with only about 6-8 spots. Guests can access the public parking lot across the street for free overnight from 8pm-8am, but must pay the going rate during the daytime hours. Also of note, there is no elevator, and the floorboards in the hallways are quite squeaky!

Yelp
Spectacularly poor service, even for a flop house, which is what this is - there are many places to stay in Fort William, and you should only stay at Bank Street if you're quite sure all your options have been foreclosed. I won't go into detail about the behavior of the staff, but suffice it to say that most every Scot I've met has been warm, kind, hospitable and friendly, and with the exception of Lou at the front desk, Bank Street Lodge seems to have found the dregs and put em all on staff.

Yelp
I'm not sure how all rooms look like, so this review is with regard staying in a (non-shared) room with two beds; one single and one double. Including toilet/shower. The Bank Street Lodge feels like something in-between a cheap hotel and a hostel. There is a common room with tables and TV, and there is a shared kitchen. The kitchen is extremely tiny, it would be small for a regular flat but now it serves the whole hostel. You can cook food in the kitchen and put stuff in the fridge/cooler (but it is pretty occupied, since yet again, it is just a normal fridge for the whole hostel). Reception is staffed 24/7 and you can also lend a key to a drying cabinet (also pretty full be the end of the day when everybody is back from their day-hike). Pretty much all guests are there for hiking. Room gets the bed made with clean sheets and new towels every day, this is really nice and is indeed not something you get at a hostel. Location is excellent for hiking. The end of the West Highland Way is just a short walk down the street as well is Ben Nevis and a few other munros. Both bus and train connections are excellent to get to other places to start hiking. Overall, I would totally recommend the Bank Street Lodge if you want to up the quality of living a notch from a hostel, but not fully all the way to a B&B. If they only had a slightly bigger kitchen I would give Bank Street Lodge a four star rating considering what you get for the price.

Yelp
Was a decent one-night stay for the price. Nice common area, and great location overall. We ended up being the only people in our room, which was cool, except the heater didn't work very well. We asked and there was no fix, so we just bundled up. Staff was friendly enough.

Yelp
Stayed here after bagging a few peaks of the WaterAid 6 Peaks Challenge. Didnt stay very long due to the nature of the challenge, thusly only had about a 2 hour nap on a bunk in a sleeping bag. The front desk lodge manager was kind enough to let us use a room outside of the lodging that was warm enough to dry out all of our wet clothing. This helped quite a bit for the next peaks ahead.
