BANK is one of those places in Zurich that seems to promise the perfect brunch or dinner experience. The interior is undeniably cool—modern industrial meets cozy chic. High ceilings, warm lighting, and a buzzing crowd give the space a trendy, urban energy that immediately makes you feel like you’re in the right place.
That said, while the vibe is great, the overall experience didn’t quite match the expectations.
I came here on a Sunday for brunch with friends. The restaurant was packed, which is usually a good sign. We had a reservation and were seated on time, but from there, the service started to fall apart. It took nearly 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and then another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. No check-ins in between, no water offered, no apologies for the delay.
To be clear, the staff weren’t rude—just overwhelmed and clearly under-coordinated. A few looked new or under-trained. For a place this busy and with this kind of reputation, that’s surprising and disappointing.
