I went there at a pastry shop in Den Bosch yesterday on a friend’s recommendation and tried the Bossche Bollen. Coming from Cambodia, this was my first time trying this Dutch snack, and it didn’t disappoint! The chocolate shell was fresh and paired perfectly with the creamy filling inside definitely one of my new favorite Dutch snack. The shop is conveniently located close to the railway station, and the prices are affordable. BUT: we need get there early, as it will be crowded and may be a bit long to wait.

One stop pastry shop for me! Famous for their boschebol, but please consider when buying the xxl boschebol; it is sized 3x bigger! Other than the boschebol, got cherry pastry. I love the cherry pastry so much that i eat it in one sitting. Would recommend to visit your friends and family with some pastries takeaways from here!

I went there as my colleagues recommended. But I think it wasn’t the best cafe bakery I’ve experienced. The cappuccino was machine made, and the bossebol was a meh.

Almost a 100 years family bakery! The Bosch balls are really special and delicious. The thickness of the chocolate layer is perfect! ( most of the time, the supermarkets or other bakeries’ Bosch balls are with too thick layer and too sweet). The prices are also reasonable. It’s a nice experience to sit inside to taste their Bosch balls with a cup of tea/coffee. I also bought several Bosch balls afterwards to enjoy at home. The only bad experience is one of the young lady at the store, she was a bit rude and unfriendly. Otherwise I’d for sure give it a 5 stars.

Amazing Bossche Bol at Jan de Groot and excellent coffee. Only a block from the train station.

The stoplight to indicate whether there is space to sit or not is a cute touch. I recommend going upstairs to eat if there is space because it is very pretty up there. The chicken panini was really good. Flavourful and juicy, simple yet tastes great. The bossche bol was the highlight of the visit of course, very light with the cream and the dark chocolate covering was the right amount of sweetness. We went around lunch time on Sunday and wasn't too busy, we waited maybe 10 minutes max but the queue goes quick enough.

Here you can get the real Bossche Bol. A real treat and a must try ehen you are visiting the City of 's Hertogenbosch. Great to have with a cup of coffee or to take out. Apart from the Bossche Bol they have a lot of other cakes as well.

Google
Best Bossche bol by far! Everything about it was perfect, with my favorite part being the delicious chocolate coating. The kersenvlaaitje was also very good, so their other desserts and pastries are worth trying as well. Tip: if you see a long line, it's usually only for take away. You can skip the line by just going inside and sitting at a table to eat there, which is what we did.

Yelp
The creme de La crème of bakeries in Den Bosch. I walked by the gem every day and then decided to treat my office to some treats . A line forms 30 minutes before opening so arrive early ! Super friendly service with only the desserts exceeding the great service . It certainly lives up to the billing ( and photos ) . A must visit !!!

Yelp
Banketbakkerij Jan de Groot is a must stop if you plan on visiting Debosch. Seriously, there's a reason every restaurant and cafe has it on their menu. They're known for their bossche bollen. We dropped in on a Friday afternoon (around 2:30pm) and it was busy. There was a small line for takeout orders but all the tables inside were occupied. - 2x Bossche bollen (€2,35) - these balls live up to the hype. Not too sweet but light, airy and creamy. It's basically a delicious cream puff with an outside chocolate layer. Go get them brown balls. Should have stocked up on more when we were there!

Yelp
Had a taste of these guys our first night in "Genbosch". It was on the dessert menu at a local restaurant. I was told by my travel companion and buddy Jean that they are known for these brown balls here and the actual bakery would have them cheaper. So got my ass to the bakery before we left the nice quaint town. Mmmmm these big brown balls are something else. A totally different spectrun of creamy .... expolsion in my mouth. If I lived around here I know brown balls would be a constant visitor down my throat.

Yelp
The Bossche Bol was amazing! Lucky for me my husband wasn't feeling well so I got to eat the whole thing myself! We also another cake, and while tasty, it paled in comparison with the Bossche Bol. While the line was out the door to the curb, this was for take away, we were able to get a table for dine in quickly.

Yelp
Ask anyone in the area where to get real Bossche Bollen and they will all send you here and practically every café or restaurant in Den Bosch probably has their Bossche Bollen from Jan de Groot as well. And for obvious reasons: they're amazing. My bestie is not a fan of whipped cream and I hate eating it in big giant mounds, essentially a Bossche Bol, but there's just something about the one's from Jan de Groot that makes them delicious to even the most fervent hater of whipped cream. There's a level of complexity with not-too-sweet cream, crisp and golden choux and a deep, rich, delicate coating of bitter chocolate. Heaven. So as for Bossche Bollen, if you want the real deal you must come here because if you don't, chances are you'll end up with a big mound of overly sweet something. As for the other pastries, I think they're all just as delicious but the bakery can be a bit overwhelming. Because this place is so popular they tend to have lines out the door but still have quick service that works through the line quite efficiently. Now when you don't know EXACTLY what you want when you come here, that can be a bit overwhelming as they have a very large selection of pastries. Too large a selection for the fast pace in which they handle a queue really so that adds a bit of stress when there are so many people waiting in line behind you. On the bright side: the Bossche Bollen really are cheap and the other pastries aren't too expensive either. I know one thing: I don't mind that my mother has given me the standing order to pick a few Bossche Bollen up for her and my dad whenever I visit my bestie on a weekday.

Yelp
This small city doesn't have much international fame among laymen but the little it does have is in the name! Or has it in their names? Uhh, anyway I meant Hieronymus Bosch and the Bossche bol. For the pastry, all guides pointed to this place and the line out on the street was telling. Have your money ready for the somewhat gruff ladies working here so the people behind you in line can get their sugar high as soon as possible! Once I got one and sank my teeth into it, I was in whipped cream heaven! But it really is too much of a good thing and not enough chocolate to even out the cream. I wish it was a little smaller or had someone split it with me, believe it or not. It was delicious but the whipped cream slowed me down for the rest of the day. It's a nice treat and worth trying, but during our walk around the city we saw many cafes offering Bossche bollen from the very same bakery. So you don't have to endure waiting in line here, you can just go to a cafe that advertises it and you will get the same pastry.

Yelp
This place is very near to Denbosch station..just the right place to get u a quick snack...the place is spacious with free WiFi...go in the morning to experience long queue for BoscheBalls... Recommended for place snack

Yelp
Being the original makers of the 'Bossche Bol' creampuff, de Groot meets all expectation. There's a certain kind of heaven in these creampuffs: they're perfectly chilled like a sparkling white, frosted with chocolate, fluffy yet filled with oodles of soft dough, and most importantly, puffed full of soft and sweet (not overly butter-y) cream. They are about the size of a tennis ball, so be prepared to finish it, lick your lips, and be filled for hours with sweetness.

Yelp
THE place for 'Bossche Bollen'/DE plek voor 'Bossche Bollen'.

Yelp
Nice place but very crowded during the weekend. My advice is to eat your "Jan de Groot Bosschebol" on a certified place within Den Bosch. They will be proudly presenting the logo and full name if they serve them!
