15 Places That Don't Need the Holidays to Twinkle and Sparkle

"The world’s longest bridge fountain is located on the long Banpo Bridge overpassing the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. The bridge is already a curious structure, as it’s designed on top of the previous Jamsu Bridge, forming the upper half of the first double-decker bridge in the country. On both sides of the less than a mile-long (1.5-kilometers) bridge are nearly 10,000 LED lights over 3,740 feet (1,140 meters) sections. Here, 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles per side shoot out over 190 tons of water per minute. This installation, called Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, was inaugurated in September 2009 and has been recognized by the Guinness World Record. The huge amount of water that comes out of the fountain falls down into the river underneath at a distance up to 141 feet (43 meters) horizontally and 66 feet (20 meters) vertically. The water ejected is continuously recycled by being pumped again into the fountain, making sure that the installation is eco-friendly. Also, the jets can move to the beat of the music." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

This is one of those "Yes, I saw that!" experiences, but was really enjoyable. Although crowded there are plenty of places to get your photos and videos. Be sure you are at the right bridge, and on the correct side of the bridge, you will know by where the crowds are gathered and seated. Great park along the river front as well for strolling and many picnickers enjoying the evening under the moonlight.

Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain: Seoul’s Magical Nighttime Spectacle The Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, located in Seoul, South Korea, is one of the city’s most iconic attractions and a true symbol of romance and beauty. Stretching across the Han River, the Banpo Bridge connects the Seocho and Yongsan districts, but it’s at night that this bridge truly comes alive. Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest bridge fountain, this stunning installation features over 380 water jets that shoot graceful arcs of water illuminated by vibrant LED lights. The fountain creates a mesmerizing rainbow effect, transforming the Han River into a dazzling spectacle of colors and motion. The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain shows are scheduled multiple times a day, especially in the evening, when the synchronized water jets dance to music ranging from K-pop to classical melodies. Couples, families, and tourists flock to Banpo Hangang Park to watch the breathtaking performances, which make for a perfect date night or a relaxing evening by the river. Surrounded by scenic walking paths, cafés, and parks, Banpo Bridge is not only a beautiful landmark but also a cultural hotspot that captures Seoul’s charm. Amazing place for a picnic. One of the highlights of our trip to Korea. So much to do from enjoying a beer and ramen to enjoying a stroll along the river as well as sitting and watching the bridge water show. It happens every 30 min and is SPECTACULAR. Don't miss this of you visit Korea.

A relaxing evening for the whole family and for all travelers this summer in Korea. I recommend the 9:00 or 9:30 shows so the darkness enhances the experience. There are wide walkways before and after the shows. The bus ride was better than the subway, in my opinion. The photos don't do it justice. My only complaint was that the jet skis are very noisy, so you can't really enjoy it, but it's worth it anyway. I highly recommend it. It's free. You can also make new friends in this large park

If you are lucky, you can enjoy free lives performances or kdrama shooting scenes. Public facilities such as toilets, convenience stores, bike rents, are available. They receives international credit card for payments. Enjoy Seoul.
