15 Places That Don't Need the Holidays to Twinkle and Sparkle

"The world’s longest bridge fountain is located on the long Banpo Bridge overpassing the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. The bridge is already a curious structure, as it’s designed on top of the previous Jamsu Bridge, forming the upper half of the first double-decker bridge in the country. On both sides of the less than a mile-long (1.5-kilometers) bridge are nearly 10,000 LED lights over 3,740 feet (1,140 meters) sections. Here, 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles per side shoot out over 190 tons of water per minute. This installation, called Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, was inaugurated in September 2009 and has been recognized by the Guinness World Record. The huge amount of water that comes out of the fountain falls down into the river underneath at a distance up to 141 feet (43 meters) horizontally and 66 feet (20 meters) vertically. The water ejected is continuously recycled by being pumped again into the fountain, making sure that the installation is eco-friendly. Also, the jets can move to the beat of the music." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

A relaxing evening for the whole family and for all travelers this summer in Korea. I recommend the 9:00 or 9:30 shows so the darkness enhances the experience. There are wide walkways before and after the shows. The bus ride was better than the subway, in my opinion. The photos don't do it justice. My only complaint was that the jet skis are very noisy, so you can't really enjoy it, but it's worth it anyway. I highly recommend it. It's free. You can also make new friends in this large park

A great place to relax in the evening after a long day. The area is calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. There’s a convenience store nearby if you want to grab something to eat while you sit and enjoy the view. The light show lasts about 15 minutes and happens several times throughout the evening — a really nice touch to end the day.

Had an amazing experience at Banpo bridge. It was not too crowded and easily accessible by bus. Make sure to come by around 8.30 as there are 2 shows during that time.

Visited on Monday. The musical fountain starts at 7.30 and will have a show at every half an hour till 9.30 pm. No entry fee. Take your chairs if you have to wait. This is one of the place must visit

Visited on May 30, 2025, in the evening—an unforgettable experience! The rainbow fountain show over the Han River was stunning. The lights, water, and music made a perfect harmony. Many food and souvenir shops along the bridge added to the lively, festive vibe. A must-see in Seoul!

It’s fine. I was expecting a better show. For the length of 20 min they should add some variety. After 5 min you are good to go. It’s a nice place to see the sunset too, but for the light show is better to see it when it’s all dark.

Great relaxing evening for the whole family. I will Recommend the 9:00 or 9:30 shows for darkness to enhance the experience. Wide open walks after or before the shows. Travel to and from bus was better than subway. Photos doesn’t do it justice. Only complaint I had were the jet skis hanging around with their loud music, somewhat ruining the musical fountain experience. Still, Highly recommended.

A free water and light show in the evening accompanied by music. Sound quality is not so good due to speakers that seems broken. Duration is close to 20mins. Beautiful to watch. See it from the upstream side of the river. Check online for times as these vary with seasons. Can be cancelled if too much wind or if the river is muddy/dirty due to recent heavy rains.
