15 Places That Don't Need the Holidays to Twinkle and Sparkle

"The world’s longest bridge fountain is located on the long Banpo Bridge overpassing the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. The bridge is already a curious structure, as it’s designed on top of the previous Jamsu Bridge, forming the upper half of the first double-decker bridge in the country. On both sides of the less than a mile-long (1.5-kilometers) bridge are nearly 10,000 LED lights over 3,740 feet (1,140 meters) sections. Here, 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles per side shoot out over 190 tons of water per minute. This installation, called Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, was inaugurated in September 2009 and has been recognized by the Guinness World Record. The huge amount of water that comes out of the fountain falls down into the river underneath at a distance up to 141 feet (43 meters) horizontally and 66 feet (20 meters) vertically. The water ejected is continuously recycled by being pumped again into the fountain, making sure that the installation is eco-friendly. Also, the jets can move to the beat of the music." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

A great place to relax in the evening after a long day. The area is calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. There’s a convenience store nearby if you want to grab something to eat while you sit and enjoy the view. The light show lasts about 15 minutes and happens several times throughout the evening — a really nice touch to end the day.

Visited on May 30, 2025, in the evening—an unforgettable experience! The rainbow fountain show over the Han River was stunning. The lights, water, and music made a perfect harmony. Many food and souvenir shops along the bridge added to the lively, festive vibe. A must-see in Seoul!

Great relaxing evening for the whole family. I will Recommend the 9:00 or 9:30 shows for darkness to enhance the experience. Wide open walks after or before the shows. Travel to and from bus was better than subway. Photos doesn’t do it justice. Only complaint I had were the jet skis hanging around with their loud music, somewhat ruining the musical fountain experience. Still, Highly recommended.

Relaxing experience strolling in the park n observing the locals picnic under cool weather. There's a DJ who plays different styles of music near the Banpo Rainbow Bridge, which has a nice coloured water fountain which dances in uni-direction to different rhythms. Great experience if coupled w an easy cycle in the park n a picnic w friends.

One of the best outdoor evening activities in Seoul, very lucky we caught fire-show that night. Nothing is more valuable than seeing a lot of chill and faces sitting along the river. Good vibe there

Magical way to spend an evening - for free! The river lights up and water interacts and dances as it pours from the bridge! The feature runs at half hourly slots for about twenty minutes meaning you could stay for half an hour or watch over and over throughout a few hours. Toilets and places to get drinks and snacks nearby!
