I had such high hopes for this restaurant and gave them multiple chances. On my first visit I ordered the Birria tacos which are an all time favorite of mine. The staff were genuine and casual, not overly friendly but not rude either. As for the food, well for the pros, the meat was seasoned well and had a decent flavor. However the negatives far outweighed the single positive; The meat included multiple pieces of inedible fat that had not been rendered correctly, the Birria tacos had no onions and no cilantro, without these toppings it's not really Birria just a Brisket taco, and finally the consome was thick and again no onion or cilantro, it was almost gravy like texture (not authentic at all). Huge fail on the Birria! I decided to try again and get the BMFB, when I ordered I specifically asked does it come with the same toppings as the classic (lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard), after confirmation with his colleague he said yes; great! I asked for no lettuce, no tomato. The burger came out and actually looked amazing until I saw that it was absolutely swimming in mayo, like a disgusting amount. After he left I started trying to get rid of the mayo with a napkin, after the server returned I informed him I despise mayo and nowhere did it say it came with mayo and I had specifically asked. In typical Filipino fashion he apologized but then immediately walked away doing absolutely nothing. I will say the burger was pretty decent despite the copious amounts of mayo I had to remove, and the beef could have been of higher quality, but the other toppings were good other than the cheese. The cheese they use is absolutely horrible, with a weird texture and flavor. Overall this place has huge potential they are just severely missing the mark when it comes to execution and communication.
