Perfect location, walkable distance to the Night Market & Old Town. The resort is very beautiful, big spaceous rooms with personal balcony. All made of wood & lush green lobby. Very helpful & kind staff. The kitchen closes at 6.30 pm in June, but Grab App delivers up to the rooms. The resort gives a vibe of Bali!

This is a lovely place to stay. It feels like a calm oasis in the middle of a busy city. The staff are kind and thoughtful, but not intrusive. The pool isn't huge, but is reasonable in size. Food is also good. The bedroom was really lovely, large and spacious. Well done team Banthai!

A tranquil place in the heart of the old town. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the room spacious and clean, bed comfortable directly in front of the swimming pool.Breakfast in front of the swimming pool with bar for a quick lunch, it was honestly a very relaxing 5 days, loved it all, no negative sides. Highly recommended

Very nice location for relaxing place in the centre of Chiang Mai.|Everything you need is to be found in the hotel with romantic garden en pool, nice bar and they have good wine. The breakfast is complete and fresh, rooms are big and neat, with a nice balcony to the inner garden.|Not any noise from the city!|Advice: take a cocktail, best one in my view: the Mai Tai!|We will com back when in the city.

Good location within walking distance to bars/markets etc. Also pretty quiet both during the day and night. Rooms are basic, but do have the essentials - clean bed, bathroom, kettle/cups/tea, fridge etc. However, the rooms do feel basic and would benefit from upgrading in my opinion. Outdoor pool was ok.I suppose it depends what you want. Would not use if I were to visit the area again, personally. Fine if you don’t mind basic.

*Highly recommended*|We (family of 4, 2 teenagers) stayed here for 4 nights. Location is short walk from the town centre. Surounding streets have nice places to have a snack, dessert and great thai food. Banthai has real nice rooms, the staff is very friendly and hospitable. The patio pool is nice 'n cool and they can shake up prettt good cocktails at the bar. I would defitely stay here again upon my next visit to the lovely Chiang Mai!

We came back to Chiang Mai after 20 years & were very happy with our pick of Banthai… CM suffered more than most due to Covid Lockdown & it’s sad to see so few tourists or backpacker’s but it means you can great deals if you look around. Banthai is well ‘hidden’ just off one of the main roads so is peaceful but easily accessible. This is a Thai ‘boutique’ style hotel, and is delightfully decorated with simple Thai touches. Rooms are clean, beds are enormous, there is a decent shower and other than a few minor touch ups the room was perfect. The food, whilst only offering a smallish menu, was excellent (special mention for the Spring Rolls!) but as always what makes a stay are the staff. In typical Thai fashion, ALL the staff were excellent; friendly, kind, honest & helpful… Always available but never in your face and no hidden agendas. I’m an experienced traveller & I can honestly say this was a wonderful stay & I’d be comfortable recommending to anyone (family, couple or solo) to stay here. Good luck Banthai, you deserve more guests… Will return (we hope) one day soon…

Stayed here November 21-23 and would say it was a decent stay. Pros: - Close to the night market - Several laundry service providers nearby Cons: - Our bathroom shower was an old tiled sunken tub that was haphazardly designed with nothing to hold onto when getting in and out of it. It was also moldy. - The outside walkways were extremely squeaky so people walking by late at night kept waking us up.
