I recently had the pleasure of staying at Banyan Farm Tourist Park, and it was an exceptional experience. Nestled on the serene banks of the Daly River, this park offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
The private concrete boat ramp and mooring pontoons made accessing the river incredibly convenient, especially for fishing enthusiasts like myself. The opportunity to catch the iconic barramundi right from the park's doorstep is unparalleled.
Accommodation options are diverse, catering to various preferences. I stayed in a self-contained cabin that was both comfortable and well-equipped. The large, shady, and grassy sites are perfect for those who prefer camping or caravanning.
The Banyan Farm Bistro, open seasonally from April to August, served delightful meals six days a week. The chef's famous parmies and roast buffet were particular highlights. After a day on the river, unwinding by the large swimming pool was a treat.
For nature lovers, the walking trails around the billabongs offer a chance to observe a variety of flora and fauna. The park's relaxed and friendly atmosphere, combined with amenities like clean facilities, a camp kitchen, and reliable phone service, made the stay even more enjoyable.
A special mention to the hosts, Kerri and Wally, whose warm hospitality made the experience truly memorable. Their dedication to ensuring guests have a pleasant stay is evident in every aspect of the park.
Whether you're an avid angler or simply seeking a peaceful retreat in nature, Banyan Farm Tourist Park is the place to be. I look forward to my next visit!
