This is one of my favorite luxury hotels. I chose to stay here on December 6 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had requested a simple room decoration in advance and received a reply saying “no problem,” but unfortunately there was no decoration when we checked in. However, the staff upgraded our room for free from a Sky Suite to a Sanctuary Suite, so I guess that made up for it, haha—thank you.||The hotel room is very beautiful and luxurious, and the room we stayed in this time also had a stunning view. As usual, everything else was great. This wasn’t my first stay here; you can refer to my previous reviews for more detailed comments.||However, this time there was one unpleasant experience, which was at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Vertigo Too. The service was quite poor. I had made a reservation for 7:00 PM (for my wife’s birthday dinner), but when we arrived at the restaurant, surprisingly none of the staff seemed to know about it. They even told me that reservations were not necessary and that it was walk-in, so we could just find any table. Luckily, there were still tables available that day—what if it had been fully occupied?||After we were seated and looked at the menu, no waiter came to take our order, even though there were several staff members standing at the counter. Only the female manager seemed very busy, walking back and forth, and in the end she personally came to take our order.||As for the food, we ordered a steak and a lamb chop. The steak was cooked medium-well as requested, so that was fine. But the lamb chop was only half-cooked, even though I had clearly asked for it to be well-done. I asked a waiter to take it back to be cooked again and specifically reminded him that I wanted it well-done. When it came back, it was still not fully cooked. Honestly, I was speechless.||In conclusion, everything else was great with no issues. The only negative experience during this stay was the Vertigo Too restaurant.
