Founded in 1670, this hilltop pagoda is right on the southern bank of the Perfume River. It has a really cool entrance with a wide staircase leading up to three big gates. On the right, there’s a center for training monks that’s been running since 1940.

We came here on a pilgrimage honoring our teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, as this is where he studied as a novice. It is a very tranquil place, where novices attend classes and where you can sit quietly, meditate or just roam. It's not a big place, but you can easily sit here for hours. It's also not far from Hue's city center, you can get to the city in 30 mins on foot. It's in a very local, non-touristy neighborhood, which we appreciated.

Quiet temple off the beaten path. No tourists at all when we visited. Not as impressive as other temples but worth the visit if you want to sit in quietness.

Another lovely temple in Hue. We walked around here for a good part of the afternoon, enjoying the quietness and peaceful atmosphere.

Serene and silent place. You see also a graveyard and a quaint temple premise. Nice Dhamma feeling. Better to take a tour guide with you to enjoy it completely.

An attractive but not necessarily a must visit.
