After being loyal customers for over 20 years, we are shocked and disgusted by how far Bao Shin has fallen.
We ordered our usual chicken pakora, and what we received was an absolute health hazard. The batter tasted old, stale, and spoiled, like it had been sitting around for days on the counter. It was greasy, rubbery, and completely unfit for consumption. This isn’t just about bad food — this is a serious food safety concern.
When we called to report the issue, expecting a basic apology or replacement, Wendy offered a pathetic $5 credit. No accountability. No apology. No offer to remake it. After two decades of supporting this restaurant, that was their idea of “customer service”? Unacceptable.
We’re not letting this go. We’ll be reporting this to Health Canada — because if this is what they’re comfortable serving, who knows what else is happening behind the scenes. This goes beyond disappointment — it’s negligence.
We will not be returning. If you care about your health or your money, stay far away from Bao Shin. They clearly don’t care about their food, their customers, or basic hygiene standards anymore.
