This is becoming go to Korean lunch spot, the weekday lunch deal is great! $13.99 for such a good portion of food. I’ve gotten the beef bibimbap (Friday special) and the bulgogi bento box (Monday special). The bibimbap was well seasoned, the egg was cooked perfectly. The bulgogi bento box had a salad that came with a sweet and tangy sauce. The side dishes are my favourite out of all the Korean restaurants I’ve been to. The cabbage kimchi is non fermented, which my friend prefers. The glass noodles and minced meat are really tasty 😋. Absolutely a must try! Will definitely be going back to try more of their lunch specials.

We had lunch last weekend. They offer couple side dishes: side dishes for tasty but very little portion. It also limited to 2x asked. We order bulgogi and spicy squid. Bulgogi is just sweet, flavour not balanced. The spicy squid is nicer than the bulgogi: spicy but not overpowering. Overall; you get what you get to pay in downtown Toronto! I bet we can find a better restaurant in Korean town or northyork!

Kevin’s service was amazing — he even surprised us with extra in-house food! 🥹 That kind of hospitality makes you want to come back again and again.Loved the seafood pancake, super affordable gamjatang, and mini bulgogi.

Went here while traveling Atmosphere felt like traditional korean house and server was kind and friendly Some of side dishes were okay but cucumber kimchi was too sweet(put too much sugar), japchae was too salty. Tonkatsu was crispy and delicious but kimchi inside kimchi stew was too sweet for some reason Just one time to visit is okay for me

Our starter the Kimchi omelette was perfect. Chicken & Beef Bibimbap for my son and I were mouthwatering as we promptly tucked in. The service & serving size was perfect. We ended up packing the kimchi omelette as we couldn't finish the food. Loved everything.

We came here and enjoyed our food. Our appetizer came first, just like we asked, which is rly great considering how busy they were. We got the kim-mari (deep fried roll of noodles) and it was yummy! I got the bulgogi mushroom stew and my husband got the pork neck stew. Both were good 😁👍

I recently ordered from this Korean restaurant for the first time, and I was genuinely impressed. I chose the "Bulgogi Mushroom Stew" and wow—what a delightful surprise! The flavors were perfectly balanced, rich and savory without being overpowering. The portion size was incredibly generous. What really stood out was the attention to detail: the stew came with a variety of side condiments, each packaged separately to preserve freshness and flavor. It felt like a complete Korean dining experience, right at home. I specifically requested a non-spicy version, and they absolutely delivered. The seasoning was flavorful but not spicy at all—just as I asked. That level of care and customization is rare and deeply appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic Korean food. It exceeded my expectations in every way!

Do not get their chili king army stew as it is probably the most vile thing I've ever eaten at a restaurant. If you take traditional army stew but replace the broth with canned chili and add in a super dry meatball, you get that monstrosity. Everything else on their menu is inoffensive

One of the few Korean places near Eatons. The last time I was here was 7 years ago and a lot has changed since then. What we got: - rose tteokbokki - kimchi soon tofu - bulgogi stew The tteokbokki I enjoyed very much, especially when the sauce is not watery at all. The rice cakes were soft and chewy while the sauce wasn't too spicy either. The bulgogi stew was really good at the beginning but near the end, it got too sweet for me. The kimchi stew was not too bad either. Service was there but they employees were really busy, they were practically flying to the back of the kitchen to the front of the store to bring out the food. They changed the decor from the last time I was here and it does look more appealing.

Food was "clean eating", healthy, and filling but flavour was somewhat lacking especially for their side dishes. Prices are very reasonable for lunch and the area. Decent vegetarian options. Service was quick and friendly. Overall just ok. Was expecting fish but they don't have as an option. Only shrimp.

Came late on a weekday for a quick solo dinner and I was served by a nice gentleman who was very attentive. I got the jjamppong, and I found the broth to be tasty and there to be a good amount of seafood in the dish. I did think, however, that the noodles and vegetables in the dish were way overcooked and slightly mushy. I was hoping for a bouncier and chewier noodle but it was rather soft. There was no crunch in the vegetables either. I think they must stir fry the veggies alongside the seafood before adding the broth and in that process, the vegetables got overcooked so I think they need to revamp how they prepare this dish. The side dishes that came with the meal were quite tasty, especially the kimchi was good. Overall the meal was fine but I wouldn't necessarily be itching to come back. Service was great though, and the location is conveniently downtown. Price is also fairly average for the area.

I could see this being a go-to spot for students and quick bites late night but for us personally, it did not check many boxes so it's not worth something to go out of our way for. The seafood soon tofu was yummy and comforting on a cold night out and the galbi was easy to chew and marinated nicely. These were our favourite dishes of the night. The banchan was also yummy and pretty safe for picky eaters! (kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber) The prices were quite fair but a couple things did not hit. The tempura pictured in the menu was tempura that was cooked Japanese style with the light batter however we received coconut shrimp that tasted like something I can buy from the frozen aisle and the corn cheese was very very dry. Maybe this place did not hit for us as we have many Korean places accessible in Scarborough/North York that are cheaper, better, and have better portions so that may be something to note given our review and rating.

This is a Korean restaurant in downtown near Yonge-Dundas. The food is OK, the service is good, and we got served quite quickly. I found some of the banchan to be a bit salty and some of the food to be overseasoned, but overall, it was what I was expected. Good place to grab a quick bite. Price is reasonable.

The dining experience was quaint, clean, and quiet. The service exceeded expectations for every metric. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Everything was served according to quality standards. The banchan was superb and very tasty. We will be back on future trips.

Thanks to a discount offer on UberEats, I caved on ordering in during a night shift and got to try out Bapbo for the first time! Staying up through the night made me want tteokbokki since it's so comforting and carb-loaded. The first thing I ordered was the ROSE TTEOKBOKKI which has a delicious creamy sauce that is very mild in spice, hence perfect for anyone to enjoy. They were generous with the portion, loading it up with lots of rice cakes, but also pairing it with smoked sausage, onion, and broccoli. Another dish I tried was what really caught my eye (which meant the phone did not get to eat first), ARMY STEW TTEOKBOKKI. Instead of a sauce, this dish is presented in a soup base and can even be requested at different spice levels. I got the "baby spicy (level 1)" which was not spicy to me at all, so I'll definitely be leveling up next time. I loved the variety in this dish, as it came with rice cakes, fish cakes, smoked sausages, Vienna sausages, spam, white and green onion, and even wide glass noodles! To make it even better, I added mozarella cheese which they melted on top and that really made it perfect! Overall, I really enjoyed their rice cakes, as they were very soft and easy to chew, not overly dense like some other Korean restaurants. They used white plastic bowl containers, with clear lids which kept all the food well-contained and nothing spilled during delivery. Napkins and cutlery were also packed with my order. A little pricey in my opinion, as it was about $20 per tteokbokki dish and about $3 to add cheese but I wouldn't mind revisiting every so often since I genuinely really enjoyed the food.

Less expensive than the spot across the street, this Korean restaurant on Dundas offers delicious stews. I really like their spicy pork bone soup and the serving sizes are very generous. The service is always prompt and the staff friendly. I never feel rushed when eating here as there is plenty of room.

There isn't as many options for Korean food when it comes to the Downtown core area by Bay and Dundas so I ended up coming to visit here to try out the spicy rice cakes especially since they looked delicious. Rose Tteokbokki: The perfect sauce that wasn't too spicy and was the right amount to eat. The rice cakes were chewy. Bulgogi: I wasn't a big fan of their bulgogi, seemed a bit dry compared to other places I've had. For the price, it seemed like it wasn't worth what you pay for. Jajangmyeon: Pretty standard jajangmyeon, wasn't anything special. It felt like there wasn't that much meat in their sauce. The staff was friendly and attentive. I wouldn't go out of my way for this spot especially since there are better Korean spots in other areas.

**Ubereats order** Man what a ripoff. They really give you half portions for Ubereats orders.. The japchae was $16 for HALF of a standard container. $10 for 4 gimmari, $7 for 2 pancake thin croquettes. The food itself was ice cold but likely the drivers fault. The flavour was ok but hard to tell when it's been reheated in the oven/microwave. I would definitely NOT recommend this place if ordering through a delivery service. Jury is out for dining in though Edit: I ordered takeout from them earlier in the year and portions were ok then. I got almost the same order but instead of the croquettes I got the jajamyeun (which was ok).

We ordered on a delivery app and the food did not take long to arrive. Everything was packaged well in their different containers. The japchae with beef was lined with aluminum foil in an attempt to keep it warm but the glass noodles had still congealed into one mass. The cheese with the corn cheese had also solidified. I'm a fan of spam and maybe it was just me and the spoonfuls of army stew that I put into my bowl but I got pieces of hot dog more often than I got canned cooked pork (aka spam). With the stew there was the option to choose 2 side dishes and we also got a bowl of rice with it. The other dish we ordered was fried chicken with a soy glaze. This was my favourite dish of the meal. The chicken was still crispy and hadn't gotten soggy during the delivery. There was enough sauce at the bottom of the container if anyone wanted to sauce up their chicken. Overall, the food was good but I'd like to dine-in next time as I feel that it would be a better food experience.

Came here with coworkers for lunch. Bapbo offers a variety of of Korean dishes, all at a very decent price. The food definitely seems favour non-Koreans. What I mean by this, for example, the side dishes were all things that most people would eat. (Kimchi, tofu, bean sprouts and broccoli). In Korea, there are usually at least a couple side dishes that I won't touch. The food came out very quickly after we ordered. I had jaeyuk deop bap. It was pretty good. Most all of my coworkers enjoyed the experience.

The waitress was very nice and we were seated quickly! We liked their fried chicken and kimchi jigae.

came here for a spontaneous week night dinner when my partner and i were struck with a craving for gamjatang. tasted decent, nothing mind blowing. place seemed a little understaffed though.

I always ordered Uber eat from this place to my husband when we are apart. And the presentation always look so good. So we ordered the delivery today to try it together. However, the food was so bad. We both ordered a combo that comes with some sides and main dish of our choice. First of all, we got the food. Nothing seemed freshly made. It looked as like they gave us an order that was prepared awhile. The fried chicken and rice were cold. The glass noodles were sour and tasted overdue. Overall, it was really disappointing and probably never ordering there again. We had to throw it away because we couldn't even forced it down.

Food took 45 minutes to prepare (2 dishes). Egg for bimbap was well over cooked. All the food came out cold and the can of coke was warm. Never returning

Delicious korean food but very over priced for the portion, not sure if this was marked up on skip the dishes or in general. The fried chicken was $20 for this portion seen in the image. The food comes with no ban chan (side dishes) that are complimentary, I wanted japchae (noodles) so I paid $5-$6 and was again disappointed by the portion size. The chicken was very tasty, well breaded and crispy with a very addictive sauce, just not the best value

My friend's been raving about this restaurant and he finally had a chance to take me. I'm a sucker for a good Soondobu jjigae. To my surprise, it was delicious and especially well priced for the portions. The banchans were also exceptionally delicious compared to other Korean restaurants in the area. Will be returning again! The only downside was the fact the many of the food such as croquette was unavailable but not marked in the menu.

I don't believe that this Korean restaurant specializes in Korean fried chicken but that was my favourite dish when we ordered delivery from here. Despite the delivery time the chicken skin was still good although I wouldn't describe it as super crispy. It was kind of similar to the chicken you might get at Colonel Sanders' joint. The flavour (a soy base) was very good. The other dishes were just okay. We attempted to be healthy by ordering the cheese corn as a vegetable. It tasted exactly what you'd expect it to taste like - the sum of corn plus cheese. The army stew we ordered was mild and nice. If you're a fan of luncheon meat you'll like this. The japchae was okay but nothing that special.

Honestly, as a Korean myself, I have to say their soondubu stew is really delicious! I could definitely tell some extra love was put into it. I can't believe this place has such a low rating! It's completely undeserving of 3 stars! I even got my order to-go and it was still so good.

The place is a standard size place for a Korean restaurant. It was welcoming on a rainy day! Nicely decorated with wooden panels. I felt like I was in a chalet and we were given a booth to sit which was nice. There are four little side dishes that were offered. None of them my favourite. The service was decent. My friend's meal of ramen and pork bone meat wasn't to her standard. She was disappointed and only ate half of it. I felt bad that she didn't enjoy the food. I had the Bulgogi clear noodle soup and it was hearty since I was feeling cold. Found it a bit pricey for $16. Nothing stood out much but they do have a nice eating environment/atmosphere.

Bapbo Korean Restaurant is not my first choice when dining in the area. But when it was close to 10 pm on a weeknights, there were not too many choices in the immediate area that still opens aside from Joey? Don Don? Typical Korean offerings but their Pork Bone Soup seems to be good as it has quite a few meaty bones and my dinner mate was enjoying that. Soon Tofu extra spicy was spiced by chili oil? That oily red layer on top made the soup a little heavy. I do like the beef which is different from the seafood or pork that usually offers in other restaurants. Everything seems to be solid. The staff was nice and efficient. Decent choice if you have craving for some Korean food in the area.

After a long day of wandering around downtown and seeing a movie, it was time to head back home via Union Station but not before grabbing something warm to eat. At this time of night, close to 10pm on a weeknight, the choices were limited (other than pizza). Most places in the area were closing at 10:00, 10:30, or 11:00pm. We headed west on Dundas, past Bay Street and found a few Asian restaurants (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). Some of them has already closed or were closing soon, despite the longer hours shown on their Yelp pages. Bapbo was not our first choice but it was our best choice since they were open and a Korean pork bone soup was very tempting on this cool night. My companion ordered the Spicy Tofu Soup with Beef and I had the Pork Bone Soup. As usual, a few side dishes were included, including kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, cold noodles, and pickled cucumber. The kimchi and bean sprouts are my favourites. Both soups arrived steaming hot, another thing I love about Korean food. They were accompanied by a bowl of black rice. The bones in my soup were very meaty and the broth was rich in flavour. This was a pretty good version of this soup and it filled the void quite well. Tasty. My companion had ordered her soup extra spicy and it seemed like they just poured some chili oil on it, maybe not the proper way to build up the spice level. The oil may have spoiled the experience for her just a bit. Overall, the service was good and our appetites were satisfied. We finished early enough to catch an earlier train and bus.

I got the spicy meat soup and it was warm and delicious!! It came with glass noodles spam and sausages and etc and a bowl of rice. It was honestly such a filling and warm meal, I was very satisfied at the end. The servers were really nice, kept giving us side dishes whenever we ask and we asked for a lot of side dishes!! The fish cake one is my favourite!! Overall the meal was great, definitely would come back again!

Quality is definitely based on the day you go! I came back on a Wednesday and the pork bone soup was amazing again, no extra charge for more rice and service was also better! If you want to try this place out, Tuesday and Wednesday are the recommended days!

Absolutely wonderful food and service. Got food from here with my friend and the driver didn't pick up some items that we ordered - since it was in 2 bags. We called the restaurant to see what could be done and Kevin (the manager) generously offered some extra food for our troubles! Food was great ! Strongly recommend the bulgogi mushroom stew and the pork stew. Their kim chi is great too.

Service was friendly and welcoming. Had the gamjatang and was not disappointed. Generous helping of pork bones. Delicious broth went well with purple rice and ban chan. Seating was a little tight, but understandable considering the size and layout of the restaurant space.

This restaurant has a nicely decorated interior with quite a bit of seating area. The menu has a nice selection of typical Korean dishes. I came with a friend and we ordered the ramen with tteokbokki and seafood tofu soup. I had the tteokbokki, and I really liked it! The dish was really spicy, not the usual sweet spicy flavor, which was great for the cold weather that we are having. However the flavor was a little underwhelming as the spice masked everything else. The prices are okay for a Korean restaurant that's situated right downtown. And they gave us 4 small side dishes, one of which was japchae, which is quite unique. So overall, it's a place worth trying if you are downtown and craving some casual Korean food.

I was soo hesitant to come here after reading the reviews but my team from work dragged me here anyways. The ambiance is really nice and spacious. I don't feel like we were wedged in comparison to other restaurants in the area. We were seated at a booth as the restaurant was only half full and able to situate ourselves comfortably. My team did exclaim that the prices have risen - the gamjatang was apparently $10.99 and it is now $12.99. Between the 4 of us we ordered 2 gamjatangs and deep-fried beef dumplings. The banchan were okay but not great (check out Makal Chon if you want great banchans). They refilled when requested but 1. had no japchae 2. ran out of the fish slices halfway through our meal. The gamjatangs we requested to be as 'less spicy' as possible. The food came out pretty quickly. The beef dumpling was fried to perfection. The skin was crispy and there was lots of fillings! $6 for 6 dumplings was okay in my opinion but something I could've deepfried myself at home. The gamjatang were really good in terms of quantity for price. Several big pieces of pork bone with lots of meat. My sister loved her bowl but my boss said the potatoes were undercooked. Waters were refilled, banchans were topped up, and the cheque came quickly. Literally no qualms in the level of service given. The restaurant gave me an average although solid experience. Overall, I'll be back to try their entrees instead of just going for an appetizer next time!

Been here a couple of times and it's always satisfied my Korean food craving. Probably not the most authentic place but the food is still okay. The appetizers are small for the price you pay. My friend literally paid $7 for a single piece of grilled eel. She was not happy with that. Appetizer rice cakes are also a tiny portion. I do enjoy their bibimbap though. They serve it with purple rice and actually have a sweet soy sauce instead of the usual spicy sauce. It's great for people like me who don't eat a lot of spicy things. I rly like their tofu one, it's always deep fried nicely but it'll burn your mouth if you eat it too fast. Their banchan is a nice variety of things. The potatoes are bomb. Seating is a little squished especially during rush hours

Umbrella Guy @ Bapbo. Hosted a lunch meetup here. It wasn't too busy around 12 PM but later on more customers started coming in and by 12:30 it was pretty full. There's a lot of korean paintings and decorations along the walls, which gives it a unique feel while you're dining. Bead curtains are used to separate tables, and there's a lot of cans and bottles of alcoholic drinks on display throughout the restaurant. The restaurant is advertised as Korean-Japanese, so looking through the menu you can see items from both cuisines. I think it's still mostly korean though given that most of the dishes are what you'd find in a korean restaurant. Menu comes with a number of share-ables such as korean pancakes or korean fried chicken. There's a page full of lunch specials as well, but I don't think it's much different from the regular menu. I did get miso soup, so maybe that's the "special" part. In terms of side-dishes, a lot of pictures are showing 8 different items. We got 6, but maybe lunch time has less side-dishes? I don't know. I ordered the dak galbi bibimbap lunch special. It was served pretty quickly, maybe 3-5 minute wait. Two bottles of sauces were provided, which seems different from other reviews. Portion size was pretty good, but not a lot of chicken. I enjoyed the flavours, and the rice stuck at the bottom of the stone bowl was really crispy as well. Tea is free, but it was diluted and we weren't offered refills for tea or water. So if you want stuff you'll have to take initiative!

Came here today on a whim to get Korean food based on a friend's recommendation and it's pretty good! The restaurant is nice and clean with friendly service. Immediately after you order, the side dishes arrive and you can refill them as you please. We ordered the crispy rice cake appetizer, spicy beef stew with rice cakes and glass noodles, and the kimchi pancake. I have never seen any restaurant offer crispy rice cakes so already I was impressed - and for good reason! They are so crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy inside, with the perfect layer of spicy and sweet sauce outside. This appetizer is a must try! The main stew dish was also delicious but super hot; I kept burning my tongue because I couldn't wait to try it because I was super hungry ... it's a whole cycle! It was flavourful and had good pieces of meat in there! I don't think I would add the extra rice cakes (they didn't add much) but instead add more glass noodles! The kimchi pancake was a bit of a let down to be honest. The texture was a bit off and I've had better tasting ones at other restaurants. Would not get the pancake again! Otherwise, this is a nice restaurant and I would definitely come back for the crispy rice cakes and next time I'll try the bibimbap which seems quite popular!

The decor has a nice Korean vibe. Super homey feeling. They have a good selection of Korean food. A bit pricier than other stores by a dollar or two. They have my favorite side dishes (see picture for which one) Flavors a bit lacking tho. The pork bone soup wasn't spicy as all was a bit disappointed. The flavor of the soup was a bit bland. The pork bones had a lot of meat which is the norm however the flavor wasn't there. Didn't get my water refills. Probably won't eat here again

My favourite comfort place when the whether is cold. The soon tofu stew is my all time fav!! I would recommend!!!

3.8 stars* We ordered a Japchae ($13) and Bulgogi Kimbap ($9) our order came fairly quick. The restaurant was also very clean and waitress was friendly. The food itself was mediocre and nothing special, typical Kfood place.

Decent Korean option in the area. We stopped by for a quick lunch and found everything palatable. Pricing is fair and portion sizes are good. Food came out quickly and service was also friendly. My beef bibimbap was no frills but tasty. My girlfriend enjoyed her kimchi chiggae. I had a taste and it was quite flavorful. The banchan was a little bit disappointing though, but I would return.

I was in the area with my wife and we discovered this restaurant! Apparently it's new here for many years! The selection of menu was plenty and easy to pick from. I go to my favourite tofu stew with seafood. It was well made and delicious. The side dish were delicious as well. Great customer service and seating was comfortable!

The service is terrible. I was given a mug with someone else's lipstick on it, there was a clear lip shape in the mug I don't understand how they even miss it or maybe they didn't clean the mug at all. Later, the waitress spilled some food sauce on me too. Just a terrible experience overall.

Unfortunately the food wasn't very memorable. I got the kimmari (deep fried seaweed rolls) and it was average. The batter was a bit too thick and the flavour was lacking. Hopefully their other items are better.

I went with my Korean friends. They said it's pretty authentic. I tried many pork bones soups before but this one is so far one of my favourite. I love the way that they have spice in it but not so spicy! I can seriously enjoy the taste of the soup. I will definitely come back. And highly recommend the pork bone soup!

Had the porkbone soup tonight. Came with 3 pieces of pork bone and a bowl of purple rice. Rice was really good and had nice texture. The soup was flavourful and a bit spicy. The pork bones were also delicious but one piece was a bit cold. The side dishes were mediocre...nothing too special. Service was really fast and the place is nice and cozy. Prices are higher than other places, maybe due to location. (12.99 for pork bone soup). My company for the night had tofu soup which was yummy and spicy.

Not many Korean restaurants around Yonge/Dundas area so gave this restaurant a try but was disappointed in their food. The overall service was good, very friendly and attentive even when it got more busy during the evening. But the food is another story. Ordered the following: * Seafood Soon Tofu * Bulgogi with rice cakes As usual, got ban chan (7 different side dishes- Kimchi, Bean Sprouts, Beans, Cucumbers, Potatoes, Radish, Macaroni). It tasted OK nothing out of the ordinary. The Seafood Soon Tofu is served with a bowl of rice. It was bland and watered down, the broth was just ugh disappointing. I had to ask for chili flakes to "liven up" the dish but it still lacked a lot. It was overpriced due to location and still wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. Bulgogi with rice cakes was served in a large plate, it was fresh and tasted ok but it was too sweet especially at the end. I think the cook put too much sauce or something, it was an overwhelming sweet flavour which left a not so pleasant taste in your mouth. I have tried the Bibimbap here before and it's much better than the other dishes in comparison but if you want authentic Korean food go venture to Yonge/Finch or Christie area. It's just not worth it.

This review is only on the food I ate (too hungry to pay attention to other details). For someone who eats Korean food quite often, I've never tried bibimbap. Well, it was mainly because I didn't see it as anything spectacular. It has a variety of veggies, a bit of meat on a bed of rice and topped with an egg. All my Korean food loving friends love bibimbap so I thought "today's the day! I'll find out what's so special about this bibimbap." Okay so, it was exactly how I thought it would be--rice and veggies and meat. The presentation looks so nice because everything is so organized. It comes with sauce (soy sauce or spicy gochujang sauce) that you put on. I really like spicy so I put some on and since it was thick, I tried not to put too much. Mix up all the contents and then you eat. Turns out that you basically have to slather on so much sauce to really get any spice and I'd say its more on the sweet side! Most of the veggies were unseasoned so that didn't help the lack of flavour. The bulgogi was quite sweet sweet and not salty enough. I love savoury salty foods so I did not enjoy it that much at all... :( In my honest opinion, even though the portion is good, I wouldn't eat bibimbap at a restaurant again. It's nothing special, you could probably make it at home and enjoy it that way. I'd much rather go for the soups (my friend got soon tofu that he said was great) than the rice dishes here if I come again.

Service was great and servers were very attentive. Food was mediocre as was the price. I ordered a ramyun to share with 2 Canadians and tax and tip in was $30. Although the proportion was decent the noodles were dry and slightly too sweet for my liking. The Korean Napa cabbage in the dish were also hard and could've been cooked a longer.the ambience was nice, I enjoyed sitting near the front where it was more intimate as opposed to the back or middle of the restaurant.

Ordered the appetizer-sized Korean fried chicken along with a Gam Ja Tang with less spice. Both were delicious. The boneless chicken chunks were rather small but still yummy nonetheless. It reminded me more of karaage than what the menu picture suggested as thighs and drumsticks. The batter was crunchy and well seasoned but could have been more crisp, and the chicken was tender and juicy but a little more fatty than my health-conscious-self would prefer. As a non-spicy eater, the flavor of the Gam Ja Tang was really great. It was just the right amount of spice and the meat was tender enough to easily fall off the bone. I also very much so enjoyed the variety of complimentary side dishes. The overall service and atmosphere of the restaurant was also great - cozy with wooden furniture, well-lit, sizable TV, and friendly and attentive staff.

Came by on a Friday evening, quite busy but waitresses were fast and efficient. My order was taken about 10 minutes after. While I waited, unfortunately, this is when they started to lose stars. First strike, my water wasn't brought out, I didn't notice earlier because I was distracted by my phone go figure. I had to ask them for it. Also noticed that I didn't get any banchan either so I looked around and noticed only tables that had either ordered the soups or bimbimbaps would get it so I asked and had my suspicions confirmed which is kinda BS. Really? Pretty sure Rabokki is a main meal... disappointed. Anyways the total afterwards was quite pricey but it is in the Yonge-Dundas area so it is sort of expected I guess? Either way, not coming back. Ventilation was terrible too, I left smelling like the tteokbokki sauce and whatever else was near me.

Cozy Korean restaurant along Dundas street. Came in around 6:30pm and it wasn't too busy. Got the Gamjatang and it was as expected: nothing amazing but your typical gamjatang fare. Portions for the gamjatang were good, but the side dishes were a bit small. It started getting busy while I was eating and noticed a few people waiting for tables. I'd come back here if I ran out of food options along Dundas or Yonge, but this place satisfied my gamjatang craving for $10.95+tax.
