Hidden Gem off Rue Saint-Honoré — Bar 8 Delivers Sophisticated Vibes & Perfect Espresso Martinis Tucked inside the Mandarin Oriental, Bar 8 feels like stepping into a cinematic dream — low lighting, mirrored walls, and a sleek marble bar where every drink looks like it belongs in Vogue. I stopped in between watch boutiques (Rolex window-shopping in Paris is serious cardio) and ordered the gyoza and two espresso martinis — both flawless. The gyoza were crisp and perfectly seasoned, while the martinis were rich, velvety, and balanced — easily the best I’ve had in Paris. Service was smooth and attentive, with that effortless Parisian confidence. If you’re near Place Vendôme or shopping the golden triangle, Bar 8 is a must-stop reset — elegant, calm, and effortlessly cool. ⭐️ Food: 4.8/5 ⭐️ Drinks: 5/5 ⭐️ Vibe: 5/5 ⭐️ Service: 4.9/5 ⭐️ Value: 4.7/5 #BillyEats #BillyDrinks #BarScout #ParisNights #EspressoMartiniGoals #TopGoogleReviewer #GlobalBites #BillyInParis

Wonderful experience. The service was impeccable. The drinks we ordered were so well made, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere! We got a fraisier as well and we absolutely loved it. Very nice spot for a little quiet date.

This bar is cozy and intimate. Cocktails and food are top-notch. I haven't had a good cocktail like "a weekend in London" in a while. Le croque-monsieur was gourmet with smoke turkey and so "moelleux". It will melt in your mouth. Service was excellent as the server was welcoming and attentive.

We had a very fun and enjoyable evening at Bar 8. Nice ambience, good wine selection and staff is very attentive. We will come again when we come to Paris again!

Ophelie made some of the best cocktails and wine recommendations in Paris - seriously next level! The service was impeccable and the entire staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It's got an amazing, intimate atmosphere. Every drink we ordered was top-notch and expertly crafted.

Google
Husband and wife pastry operation from the USA, visiting Paris here. This is an absolutely unique and wonderful atmosphere to have casual cocktails during your stay. The theme is definitely Asian, but with an amazing twist. Our server, Gabriel, was incredibly helpful for picking the cocktail selections. We also had the combination of trout and blini. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend, this hotel anytime and their backyard outdoor area is lovely in the summer and in the winter. Plus they have Beautifully Designed their Christmas decorations in that area! On top of that, They always serve good food and drinks, with a smile 😊. True it’s pricy but you get yo ur money’s worth.

We came here for an aperitif and we will not be coming back. Unfortunately, despite the hotel’s name, which should be synonymous with excellence, we were poorly welcomed. The gentleman at the entrance was careless, definitely not at the level we expected. We were seated at the bar with the promise that “as soon as a table is free, you’ll be moved.” While we were placing our order, the girl behind the bar simply LEFT — totally unacceptable. When a table finally became available and we sat down, no one bothered to bring our drinks from the (dirty) bar counter to the table. When closing time came, the waitress — clearly agitated, as if she were the owner — approached us without even a “sorry” or “thank you” and said, “we close at one.” We were horrified. The incompetence of the staff, who perhaps should be working in a bistro instead of at the Mandarin Oriental, is unbelievable. Dirty tables, empty trays left around, rude waiters, never a thank you, never a please. Absolutely shocking and deplorable.

Yelp
Stunning bar, exceptionally well decorated. If you can get a table in the courtyard. They have a wonderful selection of custom cocktails, mocktails and champagnes. The staff are super pleasant. Get place to sneak a cocktail between shopping in the area

Yelp
Located at the MO hotel, I had high expectation of this bar. When you walked into the bar at the courtyard, it was inviting and was definitely packed on a Friday night. But the smoke was definitely killing it for me. It was one of those enclosed courtyard and all the smokers there I felt like I was in a chamber getting smoked. The drinks are 26 Euro but I would expect some garnish on my cocktails, but nothing, pretty plan Jane cocktails. I would recommend Bar Josephine over Bar 8 if you would like a more laid back and smoke free spot for your late night drinks

Yelp
Awful service. For 30 euro a cocktail I expect to at least be looked at. They served us our drinks then didn't come check on us for 30-40 minutes. We were just waiting there trying to check out while they were obviously ignoring us. I've never felt so discriminated against at a bar.. even a dive bar with $5 drinks would give better service. If you aren't staying in the hotel or you aren't dressed like you're a millionaire they will just pass over you. The decor and ambiance were amazing but god awful service. What a disappointment. And this is coming from somebody who rarely leaves reviews, but this was just unacceptable.

Yelp
An upscale place in Mandarin Orient in Paris. Very chill place with awesome design. A little pricey but well worth it. The pastries are gorgeous. The cocktails are awesome.

Yelp
Bar 8 - je t'aime. Our favorite spot for a drink in Paris. The bar is located within the Mandarin Oriental Paris just off Rue St. Honore. A perfect stop after shopping on this famous street. While the indoor bar area is dark and sexy, we always head directly to the outdoor garden (heaters are present in the winter). It's a very unique and chic spot for a drink among the greenery and twinkling lights. Service has always been very kind and welcoming, though they can get a bit stretched when it gets busy. While the scene is enough of a reason to stop by, the drinks never disappoint. Love it!

Yelp
A beautiful lounge in a beautiful hotel. What made this a 5-star experience was the bartender, Simone. He was kind and friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. It was our last night in Paris and he made it wonderful.

Yelp
Americans in Paris sometimes really need an American drink. Bar 8 is in the MO hotel and has a lovely atmosphere. It was warm so the patio was busy. Prices high as expected at a MO, but the martinis were as we like them.

Yelp
I stayed at the mandarin oriental and came with some friends for a drink. We asked to see the wine menu and the waiter relied I can suggest one for you. Not trying to be rude my friend wanted a specific wine but the waiter was insistent. Put us off a little bit but the wine choice was good and perhaps he thought he was trying to be helpful. As with most of Europe long wait for everything which is fine and the waiter forgot my drink. Not the end of the world but I would have given five stars if not for the above two items There's an outside deck which we got lucky with the weather. Great time, not too loud drinks were good. Closes at 1 so we closed the bar and didn't know where else to go without leaving the hotel. I would still recommend. Maybe that waiter had an off day. All good

Yelp
Recently opened and already packed, this hotel bar appears to be the most active part of the new Mandarin Oriental. Compared to the restaurants, one of which was closed and one of which I tried, it may also be the best part. The bar itself has a 1960s "futuristic" decor with the staff wearing dresses of similar inspiration. It's relatively small (basically a mirror image of the Camelia restaurant facing it) and consists of tables to lounge at, nowhere really to stand. Service was excellent, prices were steep (even for Paris), and the drinks were great. Although for some reason it was not open today, there is a terrace where folks can sit outside (apparently on summer days excepting today). Bar 8 will no doubt quickly become a destination for the neighborhood.

Yelp
Excellent service and inventive cocktails. I liked that the bartender offered glasses of mineral water with our drinks. Of course, given that this bar is part of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, prices are high. Below the drinks we had: "MY GREEN EYED LOVE" Basilic frais, jus de citron, Gin Bombay Sapphire, Liqueur St Germain, Bitter plum, soda Bitter lemon "HOME-MADE HONEY" Miel maison, vanille, liqueur Yuzu, thé Jasmin, Champagne After emptying our glasses, the bellboy quickly called us a cab, which was very much appreciated as it can be difficult to find a cab on a Saturday night in Paris.
