My Mom introduced me to Bar a Bulles, which has great "curb appeal" although their Sunday brunch was popin' (people everywhere) Mais bien sur, the French especially love catching some rays so any sunny outdoor spot they can get they will hitch a tent if you let them. lol
I must have walked around the whole perimeter of the place about 5-6 times, maybe more before were able to get a prime table in a prime spot. First downside that I noted: that day was self-seating which isn't the best idea for that type of establishment especially with the brunch menu that they serve.
The Food was really good, they have a few options to chose from: Scrambled eggs on a toasted bun with Bacon, salmon or just veggies with a side of sweet potato fries and another 3 options for dessert, during my visit they had Panna Cotta, Cheesecake or dessert of the day: fruit salad in a cute jar. We opted for the cheesecake for which I was so pleased with my decision as soon as I took the first bite.
They also offer unlimited viennoiserie (croissant & pain au chocolat pastries) , bread and unlimited drinks (fruits juices, coffee and teas) All this for 24 euros, incoyable mais vrai =)
As I touched on before, this venue has such great potential. I'm not sure how things re ran during the week but on sunny days when they offer all that you can eat options they should also offer better seating assistance. I think a sign in sheet could go a long way. I even saw some tables playing what I call musical tables, picking up and moving to another, shadier table at their whim when you have newcomers walking in and busers taking anywhere up to 15-20 mins to clean tables because of all of the multitasking and running around that they're doing to keep everything stocked.
That said the staff was cool and sympa I just wish that there were either a couple more people to go around or that were better organized.
I look forward to trying Bar a Bulles again in the near future.
