Visited this place for my husband’s birthday for a fine dining lunch experience.We ordered a four course meal with beer.They have lot of their own brewed beer options. The four course meal was quiet filing and purely made to the perfection. Lived the ambience and friendly staff. Must give it a try as it was worth every penny.

Amazing, simply worth the trip. If you are a foodie, who appreciates the complexity of beers this is the place you must visit. They are extremely attentive to their customers and the experience is one I have not had anywhere else. The pairings are balance and quite well appointed. Make the time, come here and keep a place like this going.

Wow! I cannot express enough how amazing of a beer pairing experience this was. The food was to die for. There was a mussels dish that was so incredibly done. The presentation was phenomenal. The staff was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. The beers with the food were perfectly paired. We had the 6 course dinner. This is worth while and must experience restaurant.

If you're looking for fine cuisine and good beer then this is the place! We took the 6 courses with pairing beers and were not disappointed. The staff was very knowledgeable about why the beers were paired as they were, and when asking about the origin of the deer meat they were able to provide me with an answer as well. The only thing we weren't very excited about was the dessert beer pairing. You could definitely taste the sweet-sour flavor of the beer in the dessert, but the beer was too much to drink a whole glass of. I myself am a big fan of sour beer, but it was difficult to down this one. If they must pair the dessert with this one beer I would recommend serving it in a smaller amount, like you would a dessert wine. I look forward to coming back when they have a new menu!

Absolutely mind blowing tastes and brilliantly paired beers / wines.. Always inspiring to talk to staff about the ideas behind the creations as well. And if you want something more casual, also recommend the patio or bar options.

Absolutely great food and interesting paired beers, out of the ordinary choices! For an 8 course meal with a group, plan to be there the full evening. Definitely a great experience!

Quite tasty food, however few things will not make me go back. They greet you with emphasizing they are „a fine dining restaurant“ with an ambiance of a hip bar. Miserable service, the waiters don’t even pretend to care. Beer selection someone may like, but limited wine choice.

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Even if you don't like "hoppy" beers, get the beer pairing with the 6 course menu (8 was too much, though then we wouldn't have had the life changing lobster tIkka masala). Everything about this place is amazing. JUST GO.

A wonderful restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, and they have about twenty beers on draught and many more in bottle. Very trendy industrial-style interior with a view of the kitchen. Nice terrace on the square outside as well.

Hands down, the gem of our Amsterdam holiday! The first beer we tried we really enjoyed out elsewhere was a Two Chefs. The bartender where we drank said beer explained they have a "sister" restaurant, Bar ALT. It immediately made "the list" The heat finally broke and we ventured out to Bar ALT, only the find the door locked. So, we headed next door for a cocktail and snack. On a whim, I DMd their social media account and immediately had a response that they were, indeed, open and to come on over. So we did... While enjoying beer and some conversation with the bartender, the chefs sent over a couple of tasting items. Amazing! We immediately made the call to return for dinner for the beer/food tasting menu. Best decision of the trip! The food was so inspired and was thoughtfully paired with fabulous beers, all in a comfortable unpretentious setting. Every employee we interacted with was knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. The food was ridiculous. We had so many dishes I can't begin to describe them all, but there wasn't a bite I regret. And the beer. Why don't more places beer world class food with beer?! Best beer we drank in Amsterdam, hands down. If you live in Amsterdam, or are visiting, and you haven't been where yet, you're missing out. Thanks for the memories, Bar ALT!

Great food and great beer! Chefs menu with 4-6-8 courses is accompanied with beer! Besides 20 taps there's a beer list with sours (!!!) and interesting other styles, such as barrel aged stouts. Besides beer there is an option for wine as well, if you like. Really enjoyed 6 courses, with divine food, paired with a well curated beer menu! Great flavors in all dishes and beers, and brought by knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend!
