We visited Bar am Wasser on our first night in Zurich, and it turned out to be a delightful choice for drinks and quality time with friends or loved ones. Seeking a more intimate experience at new bars, we prefer to sit at the bar where we can engage with the bartenders. This allows us to learn more about local spots, the people, and their favorite activities.
On that fine evening, Fabio was our bartender. He is currently pursuing a degree in hotel management. When we inquired about his choice of study, he shared a thought-provoking perspective. He explained that while dining out, we pay for food and drinks, but true service goes beyond mere delivery. It's about the connection—the time a server spends talking with guests, listening to their stories, and providing a genuine experience. His insights were truly inspiring, resonating deeply with us.
Having worked in the service industry for 27 years, I could recognize Fabio's ambition and passion. It was evident that he takes immense pride in his work and studies. We genuinely wish him a long and sparkling journey toward success.
