Bar am Wasser

We visited Bar am Wasser on our first night in Zurich, and it turned out to be a delightful choice for drinks and quality time with friends or loved ones. Seeking a more intimate experience at new bars, we prefer to sit at the bar where we can engage with the bartenders. This allows us to learn more about local spots, the people, and their favorite activities. On that fine evening, Fabio was our bartender. He is currently pursuing a degree in hotel management. When we inquired about his choice of study, he shared a thought-provoking perspective. He explained that while dining out, we pay for food and drinks, but true service goes beyond mere delivery. It's about the connection—the time a server spends talking with guests, listening to their stories, and providing a genuine experience. His insights were truly inspiring, resonating deeply with us. Having worked in the service industry for 27 years, I could recognize Fabio's ambition and passion. It was evident that he takes immense pride in his work and studies. We genuinely wish him a long and sparkling journey toward success. Lastly, we highly recommend the Butter Martini 🍸, which was simply outstanding! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really lovely concept of an high end bar. Cocktails like a 3 course dinner. Awesome idea. The waiter really knows his job. Explains well the different cocktails courses. You can pay by card. Ambiente Nice. I love the shakers on the wall.

If you want to try a 3 course cocktail menu, nothing beats this place. What an amazing way to start my holiday with an evening at this bar on water in Zurich. The well crafted menu of unique cocktails that come with a Hublot (partnership with the bar) stamped ice cubes combined with an excellent service and an extraordinary ambiance - can’t ask for nothing more. We enjoyed every cocktail and I highly recommend visiting this bar if you are in Zurich. Weekends might be busy as I went there on a Tuesday night and it was empty.

Excellent place! No reservation possible if you are less than 8 people. Very friendly and quick service! Big plus that they constantly refill for free the water. Interior is really well thought and cozy. The cocktail and drink list is really good. The location is awesome.

Great cocktails. The indoor ambience is beautiful but we sat outside which was also nice and comfortable. It's very close to the lake area. A little pricy so I think might be better to try the set menu if you'd like to try a bunch of stuff. The espresso martini isn't on the menu but you can ask for it or any b other classic cocktail. The espresso martini was so delicious...I think it had some dark chocolate syrup.

A gem in Zürich city center! "Bar am Wasser" as its name describes is a bar by the water, along the river of Zurich. While visiting my boyfriend's family there, we stepped upon this amazing cocktail bar that offers a Michelin quality of service, and extremely good cocktails. As a wine gal, I was more interested in wine at first but I tried a cocktail as it seemed to be the place to do so, and I was not disappointed at all. So much so that I had a second cocktail after that that I equally loved. I can't remember the name of them, but one was champagne based with a passion fruit foam, while the other was bourbon and amaretto. As per the ambiance, I personally loved the elegant decor, the dim lights and... the restrooms. The jungle noise is a nice touch imo The service was elegant, multilingual and friendly.

We were looking to escape the rain and noticed the wall of cocktail shakers walking by this place which caught our attention. Immediately assumed this must be a fancy cocktail place so walked in and scored seats at the bar. Place was busy on a Saturday afternoon. Sitting at the bar has the luxury of watching the master mixologist mix drinks with precision. They have cocktail flights which can give you a taste of the different masterpieces. Impressed with the craft cocktail scene in Zurich. Check this place out if craft cocktails are your thing.

Ive come to realize how expensive SF is when i came here and got the numbers for what it takes to open a bar right on the water in central Zurich. Regardless even if it were a mediocre bar it would di well due to locale. However it's an excellent bar and the four cocktails we had were excellent. Great bar staff, superb drinks and killer locale. A great 20 degrees C evening well spent

Absolutely stunningly beautiful bar amongst one of the most beautiful places to be. I have long loved Zürich and after a busy day shopping in Bahnhofstrasse this is probably the best place I could imagine myself unwinding
