I tried the following 5 items. Lamb Ribs which were the best of all 5 items. The Cod with their honey cream sauce which is placed on top of a bed of lettuce (great portion of cod, steak medallions with goat cheese which i liked but we're more well d9ne then I would have preferred, and the highly recommended Oxtail croquettes (first time trying Oxtail and it was fantastic. Enjoyed the meal quit a bit.

BEST tapas ever ! The service is great, the music is great, and the food flavourful! Such an authentic and good experience. Sangria is big and tasty, seafood fresh and satisfying, bread is salty and flavourful!!! Chupitos also! Recommend fully and honestly

Absolutely amazing local bar with tasty food. Recommend! If you will take something more then Paella , take one and share (huge portions).

Authentic Barcelonette. Tune, squid, salad, etc. Really helpful service. Outdoor.seating until the neighbors have had enough. Fair. Skip the main street in Baecelonette. 2023 update. Some things in life you just do. This is one of them. Sardinas! Si! 2025 hopefully the building does not become a hotel 2024 very great 👍😃

Google
This is one of the best places to eat in Barcelona! The food was really delicious and the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about gluten-free food. We had some beer, tapas and paella and everything was perfect, the best we have eaten in the city. We highly recommend to come here!

Great little spot tucked away from the crowds! Well worth the visit with great service. We got the patatas bravas, ceviche, prawns and mussels and each plate was devoured.

The croquetas arrived dark and clearly overcooked. The fideuà was also overdone — heavy, possibly reheated, and tasted old. It was so unappetizing we couldn’t eat it. Despite leaving nearly all the food untouched, the staff didn’t ask if something was wrong or show any concern. We paid €50 for two adults and one child, and left the food on the table. We ended up eating somewhere else afterward. Sadly, this was a waste of both time and money.

Here you can find a decent price and place Tapas, Paella and all kind of traditional Spanish food. Inside there is a terrace and outside you have 3 tables, each one for 4 people. Service is ok food for the price is right. Quick way to eat some good.

Yelp
We were trying to go to Vaso de Oro and so glad it was packed! We happened upon this spot. Ordered: Ensalada de Cabra Tuna tartar Patatas bravas Sangria de Cava The food was fantastic. Seriously. Best bravas we had - and we have tried them all! The dressing on the salad and the tartar were perfect. Make sure you ask for the Cava Sangria without sugar. The bartender remade it for us after it being a bit overwhelmingly sweet. It was naturally sweet and perfect.

Yelp
Nice food, cozy atmosphere and really friendly waiters. This small restaurant serve lots of delicious tapas. Sea food are fresh and taste so good. Tap beer is good and they also serve others. Recommended for trying Spanish dishes. I had a good time there.

Yelp
Best meal in Barcelona so far. Tastes are well balanced. Tuna tartar was phenomenal, goat cheese salad waz the best I've ever had, gazpacho was devine, and the lemon pie was bliss. Food art at its finest

Yelp
I'm giving this place 5 stars since it has great food and portion sizes for the price! The two of us were very full after a 19,70€ meal. This place is tucked a little away from the main streets, so it's not very busy. We ordered: Glass of Gazpacho (3€): This came to the table chilled and blended smooth. It was very easy to drink. Very flavorful! Sangria 0,5L (3€): Pretty good for the price; not as many spices/herbs added as some others I've tried. Spanish Omlette (5€): Since this was so inexpensive, we weren't expecting the huge portion size, or the bread on the side! The omlette mainly consisted of eggs and potatoes (listed as Tortilla de Patatas on the Spanish menu). Well-seasoned. Ceviche (8,70€): most of this dish consisted of the cubed fish, which was a nice surprise! The crunchy roasted corn added balance to the salmon and salad greens in the vinaigrette-like sauce. One regret is that the Ceviche and the Gazpacho has similar vinegar/onion/cold flavor profiles which was a bit overpowering together, and our only warm food was the omlette. All the food was pretty salty and left us wanting some bread and water!

Yelp
We tried as many Tapas restaurants as we could during our short stay in Barcelona and this was one of our favorites! The food was quite good, but their major selling points are (relatively) low costs and large portions. Excellent deal and a definite recommendation from me! This place gets very busy at night, just a heads up. We came an hour before closing and waited 20 minutes to grab a table for 2.

Yelp
Was actually on the way to another restaurant just a few meters further down the street but immediately changed my mind. The food is beyond amazing , if you want good tapas although you are new to this culture , this is the place to go. It is a bar/restaurant which is close to the beach and cluttered with traditional decorations. Absolutely perfect. Would come back at anytime!

Yelp
I had heard many good things about Bitácora from a few locals and thought I might make it a destination one evening whilst riding around Barceloneta. Much to my delight it had not gotten busy yet and I saw myself to the bar. It is a modest bar, nothing fancy, nothing scary, so my anticipation was whet with ideas that I was led to a hidden gem and could hardly contain my appetite. I ordered ceviche and fried asparagus. The asparagus was battered and fried perfectly, and dressed with a nicely seasoned tomato sauce, but the ceviche was off. Way off. It seemed that the fish had sat a bit too long in the lime juice which leads me to believe that a batch is pre-made for each service - not cool. Ceviche needs to be made to order, no exceptions. I don't care if there's only two cooks for the entire restaurant, this is just bad practice. The only other possible scenario is that they were waiting for my asparagus to be done before serving it, but really if that were the case I would have received them in closer proximity and not 15 minutes apart, so.... I will definitely give Bitácora another shot, if in the area, but next time I am very likely to avoid the ceviche in favor of more common staples.

Yelp
After 4 nights of disappointing tapas, I almost gave up. This place changed my mind! Delicious food at a great price. We had olives, cheese, tortilla dish, shrimp with garlic, and bread with tomato and oregano. I can legitimately not find anything to complain about and trust me I was over tapas when I walked in. If your considering Bitácora, just go!

Yelp
Recommended by a tour guide, excellent seafood tapas! sardines are exceptional, and we like the Galician style otopus very much!

Yelp
When the locals eat at a restaurant than you know you're in for a real authentic meal. Yup, Bitacora is the place to be. Unlike one of the previous reviews, we found the staff QUITE nice, friendly and enjoying our experience mixing in with the locals. Do not miss the tempura asparagus with Romesc sauce, patatas bravas too. Actually everything is really good here! Prices are not over priced and worth every penny! Thank you for such a great meal!

Yelp
Perfect lunch, highly recommended. I ordered the 'menu del dia' and everything was so tasty.

Yelp
This place could be the best value for money so far in Barcelona. My only regret is the spot itself. This place is a bit hidden from the public as it is in an alley not really frequented as there is nothing really interesting there. This means that it is largely frequented by locals. The food was very good and in large quantities. We took 4 dishes for two thinking it would be just enough but could not really finish them at the end. Their salad was a sucess, the squid was quite good and the tortilla delicious but the sardines ok. The service was fast and efficient, with waiters smiling and speaking good English. Prices were very good given the proportions.

Yelp
Good was very good. Had the prawns in garlic sauce, octopus and mussels in garlic/wine sauce. They were cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. This is definitely a local tapas bar so not fancy looking but the food definitely makes up for it. Definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Ok tapas. A little pricier than usual. The flavors were not fantastic. The sangria was wonderful!

Yelp
Sardenian mussels, Veal with goat cheese, patas bravas, ceviche....all recommended by the staff and all STUNNINGLY good. Great prices for quality food and good service. Oh, great mojitos for only 5€ too. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Noisy and frenetic ambiance, good food and above average tapas. Very affordable, about 25 Euros for 2 people. Would go back!

Yelp
By far my favorite tapas bar in Barcelona! The staff is extremely friendly and have a great sense of humor. We ate here one night because the line at Vaso de Oro was out the door, but we were blown away at the quality of the food. The first night we were there is was 4 women serving the entire place with smiles on their faces. We feel in love with this restaurant and ate there the following two nights. I strongly recommend the cod croquettes (bacalao), the seared steak with goat cheese, calamari, peppers of padron, pan con tomate and my favorite dish there are the Sardinian mussels. I recommend getting pan con tomate with the mussels because they are incredible dipped in the broth that the mussels are cooked in. The house red wine is quite young, but after letting it breath for about 3 minutes it turns into a delicious Rioja. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants incredible, authentic tapas at a fair price!

Yelp
came in here solo for lunch while touring the city. i had my eye set on a plate but they didnt offer it when i went. oh well change is not always good. I ordered a croquetta alongside a mushroom dish. The food was good and the service is what to be expected in Spain. Dont wait for the waiter u will need to flag them down Just a heads up.

Yelp
Went to this place based on a recommendation from the hostel owner. The best tapas I had in barcelona (so far), and at a good price, including the drinks. The dining area gets packed pretty quick and its a bit warm inside, but it didn't really detract from the overall experience. With tapas, the more the merrier, its not very satisfying to go with one or two people, the more the merrier so you can order lots of differant things and share! Highlights: the soy sauce / sesame chicken was everyones favorite. the calamari was very good, the peppers as well. the tomato bread was... well its tomato bread. lowlights: hot inside, i could make better meatballs with my hands tied behind my back
