Wonderful atmosphere and delicious tapas!

Tucked away in a great location in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Seville’s old town, this charming tapas bar and restaurant made for a lovely dining experience. The food was fresh and the portions were generous — definitely more than just a nibble! The chicken was nicely cooked and tender, though it could’ve used a bit more seasoning. The squid, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious and a standout dish. The quinoa side was a bit bland, but still enjoyable when paired with the other flavours. Overall, I’d recommend this spot and would definitely go back. Great atmosphere, solid food, and a perfect place to take a break while exploring the historic streets of Seville.

Every time I’ve visited Seville, I’ve come to this restaurant. You get your food really quickly! My absolute favorites are number 24 and 14 – definitely a must-try! The portion sizes for the tapas are quite decent for €4.50. Some tapas are quite small, but I love coming here to enjoy my two favorite dishes. The waiters are polite, and the service is very fast.

Google
Long wait line, so decided to try. The staff was overwhelmed, and the table was not properly cleaned. After that, the food was corrected, the service was good, and the service was decent. The shrimp needed more garlic, the goat cheese was fabulous, and the desserts were good. Drinks were reasonable. The only offer red sangria, no white. Seemed popular with locals. Packed very late into the night.

I had an incredible meal here! The paella was absolutely delicious—the combination of the perfectly cooked rice and tender calamari was pure perfection. Every bite was packed with rich flavors, making it one of the best paellas I’ve had. The tortilla de patatas was also amazing—soft, flavorful, and just the right texture. However, the Gambas al Ajillo didn’t quite live up to the rest of the meal. It lacked the bold garlic and olive oil flavors I was expecting. Overall, though, the experience was fantastic, and I would definitely come back for that paella and tortilla de patatas!

The place was brimming with people so thought we'd give it a try. Decent spot near the cathedral, named aptly lol. My folks are vegetarian so they had a few decent options which was a plus. We tried the breaded chicken and pork in whisky and garlic sauce which was not bad.

Super friendly service. Inside and outside seating. My chicken was very tender. The lamb chops were great too. Good value for money.

Google
food was decent but the service was so terrible that i can only give a 1-star review. if you are asian, please avoid this place as the service was sadly very racist. food-wise: ensaladilla and salmonrejo were decent, not the best but deserving of 3-stars. the tomato salad was nice after we seasoned it ourselves, and the voulevant had an interesting texture but we would never order it again. as for the service, a male server had repeatedly asked us for the bill FOUR times, even when they hadnt served us our food yet. each time he asked, we explained that we were still waiting for the food. we noted that he did not do this to any other table in the restaurant (everyone else was not asian). we were quite confused as we had never been to a spanish restaurant which required us to pay upfront. after we paid in cash (due to the power outage), he returned our change in a tin tray but a coin accidentally rolled off onto the floor. he put the tin tray down on our table and picked the coin off the floor, casually tossing it into the tray which made a loud clinking sound—it was so loud that neighbouring tables turned to look. we were so appalled that he didnt just place the coin back into the tray and instead had to pull such fancy moves. another female server was clearing our glasses from the table and she snatched up two glasses in one hand which made a very loud clanging noise. i was taken aback and the lady at the adjacent table turned to glare as well. the server was unapologetic and swiftly cleared the rest of the table while not bothering that she was being unnecessarily impatient and loud. as a minority race visiting a european country, it is not our first time on the receiving end of such micro-aggressions from service staff. we really are not asking to be treated with kindness and friendliness. it is just basic human courtesy not to be rude to others because of their race, and as someone who has worked in service before, it is an unspoken rule to treat customers with a certain level of respect. the service was really atrocious and we felt extremely unwelcome. their actions just screamed that they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. it was such a bad experience as we were simply trying to find a place for some food and rest after being quite stranded due to the power outage—no network to navigate and got turned away at other restaurants. this left us disappointed with an unpleasant impression of the level of service provided by this restaurant.

We randomly stopped here for late lunch after arriving Sevilla. This place was packed with guests but we were able to find a table for two. They were extremely busy thus we ended up grabbing a menu ourselves but that wasn’t such a big deal. We ordered grilled pork cheeks and king prawn skewers. Both were very tasty. The pork cheeks were actually much more than I imagined and I initially thought they brought that wrong dish. The service was good too once we finished ordering and things slowed down a little for them. Overall a nice restaurant to stop by and if you sit outside you can also enjoy the view of the cathedral.

Yelp
We selected this place for tapas just for the name after touring the actual cathedral. It's located in a nice alley facing the cathedral. We sat outside first and went inside as it started pouring. We had sangria and tapas and I ventured to order the oxtail and it was absolutely delicious and tender. They served them over French fries. Our food was good and I also love the decor. The servers were courteous but they don't come to the table as often as they do back home. Overall, we had a great experience.

Yelp
Excellent Tapas bar. No reservation is required, and given its a busy weekend in Seville, a huge plus. I had the artichokes abd Galician Octopus along with an inexpensive Albarino. Definitely a reccomended stop.

Yelp
After visiting the famous cathedral we randomly stopped here for lunch, it was a lucky draw. Service was not particularly warm but efficient, so we ordered the following: two tapas ie pork sirloin in whiskey sauce and shrimp stuffed artichokes both excellent and portion of pork was good for 4 euro Two half orders at 8ish, grilled squid with black ink quinoa and pork cheeks with fries. Again generous portions and tasty food. Drinks were fine too. We were very happy and satisfied with the find.

Yelp
Tourist trap. No thank you. I ordered kings shrimp and they brought tiny little things you can ever find. Wow. ... go somewhere else. Very cafeteria style.
google avatar

Yelp
The tapas bar is in a highly touristy location. I was initially doubtful about the quality of its food, but it turned out to be really good. The menu is hand-written on a blackboard and presumably changes from day to day. We particularly like tuna steak, shrimp, and artichoke dishes.
google avatar

Taylor L.

Yelp
Would not recommend this place at all- definitely a tourist trap and some of the worst food we had during our trip to Spain.

Yelp
Tapas on a Saturday night in March in Sevilla... We got in kind of late and it was raining... yet really busy around the cathedral! We walked a block or two looking for a hopping venue with a "just vacated" table for two and a friendly vibe. Sat down at Katedral at 830, ordered a fantastic sequence of five tapas, washed them down with Andalusian wine, and walked it all off by circumnavigating the cathedral... very, very big! The tapas were tremendous... inventive, diverse, delicious. The wine was excellent. The service was cheerful and warm. A perfect evening!!

Yelp
Pure fun in the middle of all the action in Sevilla! A great way to start or end the evening. Our party of 4 was sat almost immediately on a Tuesday evening around 9pm. The place was already buzzing when we arrived. We were warned about the heads on the walls, but when in Rome...I mean Spain. The staff from the Barker, to the beverage guy, to the waiter, food runner and others were game to serve and attend to every size shape and color of tourist around. They were quick but not in a rush. They were happy to speak English or Spanish. They are very used to the hustle and handle all the requests, questions, and changes with a smile. Our waiter Jose Luis was eager to talk American Football and was excited about the upcoming season. The food was freaking amazing for a "tourist trap". It is number one on all the lists for this reason. Everything we ordered was quick, hot, delicious. The mushroom croquettes are a must. This was the first time we ordered steak and were very pleased with what we were served. A bit of advice, their medium is rare and their well is medium rare. Kudos to the chef for not destroying a good piece of meat. Their rare is pretty much still breathing, so caveat emptor pal. I would go back again and again. The sangria was better than most, we had to get sangria since it was our first night in town. Go here. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Overall less good then Pepe Hillo but still solid and I loved the chicken skewers. Chicken was well flavored and super tender. More spacious than Pepe.

Yelp
Stay away! We went this evening and ordered a couple dishes and a couple beverages, and we promptly received the beverages. Waiter came back and we ordered a second beer. Then we waited and waited and waited--our food never came and the waiter who took our order never checked back with us, and also never brought the beer. I spent over 10 minutes trying to catch the eye of, or waive down, someone and when I was finally able to do so, this other guy retook the our order (two dishes and the beer) and then left. One dish came... then the second... but the beer never came! And would you believe it--these guys put the never-received, twice-ordered, beer on our bill!!!! We literally couldn't stand waiting around hoping they'd successfully correct the bill within a reasonable amount of time, so we just paid for the beverage we never received to get the heck outta there. Also, it should be a crime to overcook octopus. There are so many good restaurants here--skip this bad one.

Yelp
Lunch in February with two others. We sat inside, but they also have outside seating. Really love the ambiant lighting and atmosphere, although less of a fan of the taxidermy that pervades. Food was artfully presented and delicious at a reasonable price. 2 tapas are enough for a meal and gives one the opportunity to try different things without huge commitment. Good wine pours. I ordered the Aubergine millefeuille with goat cheese, caramelized onion and strawberry jam which was delicious, and Squid ink Bao bun with prawns and alioli sauce. Both were delightful. The place is within walking distance of monuments, not accessible by car. I recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
This place was awesome! We were seated immediately and the service was great. We had the aubergine and marinated artichoke tapas. Perfect for 2 girls who weren't that hungry. They did charge us for bread though, even though we didn't ask for any.

Yelp
I've learned throughout my travels that if an old drunk local person is recommending foods/restaurants to me, I should probably trust them. That's exactly what happened when I walked up to view La Catedral's menu. Some drunk old guy with 6 half empty glasses of wine in front of him was like "ITS GOOD" *thumbs up and nods drunkenly* My sister and I sat down and ordered: - Plate of oxtail: I absolutely LOVE braised meats. This one definitely met my expectations as it was fall off the bone tender and the sauce is really good as well. It's served over a bed of fried potatoes (not fries) and it's like a "stick to your ribs" kind of hearty. Definite must try! - Octopus tapa: 2 octopus tentacles served over some kind of mash. The octopus was really tender but the mash had a weird taste and consistency. It was overly seasoned and smokey (maybe paprika?) and the mash was kind of gluey. - Fried goat cheese with honey tapa: If you love cheese and honey, I would recommend this! The goat cheese is deep fried and then theres a balsamic honey drizzle over it and you can eat it with the crostini they provide under it. Super good! - Shrimp pancake tapa: This was actually labeled as fried shrimp but it came out more like a pancake. It was reminiscent of a Korean seafood pancake with itty bitty shrimp but nevertheless it was still really good! I feel like we over ordered. The tapas here are actually full sized plates but we thought they were going to be small. Either way, our bill was super cheap (28 euro) after everything we ate so no complaints here! I will definitely be back if I am ever in Seville again!

Yelp
Great value tapas, particularly if you are looking for Jamon. The tapas were good and service ok. House wines were also very approachable. But with so many other options in town, you can move on. HOWEVER, this place is spacious and chances of getting a table during the crazy time, is pretty good. They also have this little toast with ham and a quail egg, that is quite unique and tasty.

Yelp
This is 5 star. Great staff. Amazing food. Great views. Truly a must stop. Must have the crochets (cod) and the mushroom .

Yelp
This was one of my favourite places in Sevilla for tapas ! Located in a great area near all the action but still quaint and charming . They have indoor and outdoors seating. The tapas were so cheap and delicious and the perfect size. We had a few different tapas : octopus was perfection great cook and great spicing , artichoke with peppers and tomatoes had so much freshness and great flavours, quail egg jamon was my least favourite just because it didn't really have any wow factor and last but not least eggplant with goat cheese and honey which was basically heaven. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great tapas in Sevilla !
google avatar

Esther B.

Yelp
A great place near the cathedral. Fantastic local atmosphere and really great tapas. The Mediterranean artichokes were the best we've ever had. Tapas portions were a good size to share and were reasonably priced. Sangria was good. The bad reviews on this place are apparently from inexperienced travelers, as this was definitely two thumbs up.
google avatar

Mohammed G.

Yelp
At first sight I honestly thought it might be a tourist trap, but I was hungry and desperate for anything to eat. Fortunately, the place turned out to be pretty good. The Ox tail portion was huge and very tasty!
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
While service was much less friendly than other places we tried, the ambiance and food mostly made up for that. Sangria by the pitcher was delicious. We tried various tapas plates and all were wonderful. Worth mentioning in particular was the pork cheek and shrimp skewer which were both amazing. The whiskey steak and potato omelette were also tasty. Great for our family but also full of date night and group diners.

Yelp
Best resturant ever in Sevilla, I highly recommend this place, wish they had branch in Los angels

Yelp
Ambience & food was wonderful - impressive wine selection. Definitely 5 star!!!!! No one rushes you & everyone is very helpful.

Alexia B.

Yelp
Can't even review the food, didn't get a chance to even try it. Service is super slow and inconsistent. We got our drinks and waiters never came back, but served the tables that came after us. I tried the place across the street and it was much better, don't bother with this place
google avatar

Chip H.

Yelp
I'm surprised by a couple of bad reviews that mention bad service and high prices. We had good service and found the meal to be an excellent value, especially since the tapas was so delicious. One review said you had to pay for bread...completely untrue. Good sangria and the artichoke tapa was incredible. I also loved the calamari. I plan to go back.
google avatar

Don T.

Yelp
An inviting outdoor seating area on this touristy commercial corridor will draw you in, no doubt....but fight the urge. Once seated, watch out for the bread they put on your table - it's dry and they charge you for it without telling you. The menu also doesn't mention that the avocado corn dish is hidden beneath a thick layer of thousand island dressing. The grilled chicken wasn't too bad, but the plate is shared with fries and an ice cream-scoop sized chunk of mayonnaise.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
This place really impressed me. The food was great. We had tapas My favorite was the "cheek". It really surprised us, especially for being so inexpensive. The service was good and quick. There is outdoor seating, but we sat inside.
google avatar

Kathleen C.

Yelp
My experience started out positive at La Catedral. The outdoor seating was pleasant and the food was average, however the service was absolutely appalling. If you are seeking a restaurant where the servers try to steal 20 Euros from you and promptly throw your remaining change at you onto the ground, then this is the place for you. Moreover, if you like to be charged for items (like bread) that are free as well as being told that a drink was free but then being charged for it, this is also the place for you.
google avatar

Noel A.

Yelp
I had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The best service I received during my two weeks of vacation in Spain. The staff was super friendly and the music inside was amazing. The price was very reasonable taking into account all the drinks and food we ordered. Beer was cheap and the quality of the food was excellent! We ordered the beef sirloin or "solomillo de ternera" and I have to recommend it to anyone that wants to try out the meat.
google avatar

Silva S.

Yelp
Delicious food and great price. The oxtail is to die for. As for the sangria, you just want to keep drinking it like water till it hits you.

Marie W.

Yelp
Love the vibe in this place. Every tapa we ordered was fantastic! Happening place! Waiters work hard and move fast!

Sophia W.

Yelp
Tasty food and service. They have Chinese menu that we only saw it once in this country so far.
google avatar

Sergey G.

Yelp
The Galician octopus was nasty(never tries it before maybe it is supose to be like that) and sangria - boring. I got my food quite fast though.

Td B.

Yelp
What shall I start with first, the food or the service? Let's start with the service because it was remarkably bad. We sat there for ten minutes after we received our menus waiting for someone to take our order. He took the order of the next table, then I said something so he came over. During the meal we never got plates. We asked two waiters for bread. Finally we had to eat the dish before it got cold. Upon our third request he found the three day old stale bread that should have been thrown out and brought that to us. No one knew which dish had been ordered by which table so they walked around and asked if it was yours. You had to be constantly on the lookout or else your meal would disappear. The folks next to us had it worse. After a half an hour of waiting for food, they complained, and it was then that the waiter realized he never put in the order. Ok, now on to the food. The Iberian ham which is among the most flavorful in the world he absolutely no flavor and the texture or shoe leather. The garlic shrimp which we have had all over Spain, which is normally delicious to the point of ecstasy, was bland. No garlic flavor, no pepper flavor, no flavor at all. The chicken skewers, which took extra time to cook, again had absolutely no flavor. Not even a heavy dose of salt could save it. They were served with some limp, greasy, tasteless fries to make the experience complete. Sangria was also not great. No reason to come here. It is a horror. There is the church nearby. Pray you find a better place to eat.
google avatar

Gyles W.

Yelp
Slow and sloppy service (sticky table, 20 minutes for a drink, 40 minutes for steak and tapas, had to ask for cutlery and salt twice) and bad food; a 'rare' steak that was well done and a tapas which cunningly combined burnt artichoke with raw chunks of garlic and onion. It wasn't even that busy (Wednesday evening).

Daniel c.

Yelp
very weak. ambience is nice, service is correct. but the food is very weak. stay away from the paella, its tasteless. better options on the same street
