Servicing good coffee with lots of pastry. I love the soft croissant here. The place is nice to hang too.

Italian countryside bar serving espressos, wine and sandwiches out of the ordinary in central Gothenburg. We came in for a quick lunch bite and stayed for long. The ambiance, the absolutely-wonderful sandwich and after-lunch espresso was a delight. It gets busy tho, and we had to sit on their outdoor seating - which was nice on a cold day with the right clothing. It’s a popular place, for a reason!

Very cute cafe, lots of outside sitting, minimal sitting inside! Friendly and helpful staff! Only coffee here, no lattes or teas (which is fine)! Dog friendly!

Great local cafe for excellent coffee and treats. This is not your average chain watered down coffee place, this is where you go when you want a real caffe and to sit with locals who know the good spots. Its small and has indoor and outdoor seating. Very welcoming. Credit Cards ok.

We heard that this cafe is a popular one in Gbg so gave it a try for a Sunday breakfast. The bread was not fresh and only had little cheese on top . They didn’t offer brewed coffee but americano. The cappuccino was ok. I wonder the buzz may be due to location or the crowd this place attracts. They also offers natural wines which I should come back for some other time

Cappuccino and sweets! We stopped here by chance, and of the small coffee shops in Göteborg, Bar Centro suddenly became our favourite. The coffees (single cap with lactose free milk and a double cap with regular milk) were among the best we've ever had - the Italian roast coffee was just right for us. The sweets, that we didn't plan to buy, but just had to try after seeing them, were a very pleasant surprise! The barista said they were Sicilian style sweets, and the combination of taste and textures was very nice. (See pictures - one is a small filled filo-dough-like pastry and the other is a wrapped nut-caramel flake filled with chocolate or pistachio creme.) We were so glad to find this quirky gem of a coffee shop that we went back right after breakfast the next day :-) (Yes, you can pay by card.)

Coffee was 5 stars, as was the coziness and friendly barista. This is a cute little cafe tucked away in the street, with an alley way and lots of outdoor seating available. There's a few seats inside, and there always seems to be a few regulars hanging around. We went at around 8:30 day after day after Christmas and there was hardly anyone there. They seem to have early opening hours (around 7) when other nearby cafes were not open or open late at around 10. The coffee itself is straightforward, no frills, but good. They offer a few snack and cafe like foods, but nothing specifically for proper brunch or breakfast and more like small sandwiches and pastries. The inside has room for about 8 people sitting at the tables but I've never seen it full. However the inside was a bit dilapidated and run down and could use some sprucing up. Definitely a good local coffee shop when in the mood for something simple and not in any particular hurry - they do not seem in any sort of rush to give you your espresso - but I think that's the point.

Best cafe I have had in a while. What struck me about this place is that you can't do more central than this, it is very simple which is in a way the very essence of grabbing a cafe, one expresso on the fly, the place is small, simple very European (Italian might I say) but the focus is clearly on making a good cafe. The kind of place and owner where everyday I am sure that the owner tunes the machine and tries one or two cafe before the opening. I haven't tried the croisants and others but I can say that living in North America I haven't had a flavourful cafe like this in a while. The taste stayed in my mouth for a few hours. Will go back tomorrow I am sure.

Gothenburgs bet coffee! Simple as that. Go here for a coffee, but not for spending time there, to small for hat.

Worst place ever. Every time I go here they tell me to stop smoking inside, I don't even smoke! People standing around me smoke and I can't stand it. Coffee here is a real hit and miss as well. I would only go here if it's really pouring cats and dogs outside. On the plus side they don't accept cash, doesn't provide any kind of service mind whatsoever and doesn't accept large bills (if you're into that sort of stuff).
