The spot is lovely and the vibe is lively, people enjoying themselves while playing card games and sipping a drink. The staff is the least friendly I have seen in Marseille, I asked some basic questions like what's the local drink he was annoyed and rude.

gorgeous bar, super vibes The ladies serving us were so nice, when my drink was too strong they helped me remake it! Cocktails were only €8 😻😻

Great place to sit (outside) and take in the atmosphere. As with a lot of bars in the city, there is no indoor area - essentially used as a serving area.

A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO RUBEN AND LOU !!! As first-time visitors, we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but thanks to both Ruben and Lou. The experience far exceeded our expectations. Their efforts made us feel genuinely welcome and left us looking forward to coming back. We truly appreciate the way they represented the team and created such a positive and memorable visit. Their professionalism is evident in how they carry themselves, communicate, and handle tasks efficiently, all while maintaining a friendly and approachable attitude. TWO ULTIMATE ASSETS FOR THE COMPANY !!!

Seems this place gets a bit of a polarising review due to the fact that two teams work the space..? Seems to be an unusual arrangement but regardless, the food and wine we were served was delicious, the price is great and the service was very friendly. Very much enjoyed the location, the seating outside was fantastic and located in a small square that acts as a lovely suntrap. I couldn’t fault it, the Salade du Polpe and Hamburger Provence were both great.

It's a lovely brasserie with tables under the trees providing natural shade. The portions are big and the taste is nice. The service was kind really fast and believe me, we were so hungry that every minute counted! Despite the fact that the waitress did not speak English so good, she tried her best to help us and in the end everything went smoothly with the order. We all liked this place and we noted it down in case we return in Marseille.

While walking around, we passed by this bar and decided to stay for a drink since they had huge outside area - we finally stayed for some more drinks :) super nice, friendly and fun service. Highly recommend. We didn’t eat here but what we saw also during lunch time the next day on the plates looked promising.

Google
It was average place with nice waitress. I would give it 3,5 star if I could ;). The waiting time for ordering was long, but then food came pretty fast. Everything tasted good. This bar/pub has lovely surroundings and it was nice lunch, but I think toilet should be renovated a little.

Yelp
Great spot for a meal on the terrace. Aioli was good but needed a bit more on the plate - octopus stew was tasty Service friendly and fast

Yelp
Food was bland and not tasty. French fries were okay (only things seasoned). Service was lacking and waited over 20 minutes for service to order and 30 minutes for food to come out. Ambiance is nice, outdoors, under a tree so watch out for projectiles. Waited 20 minutes for the check, just for the waitress to come back and tell us we have to pay inside after telling us she'll be right back with the check. It's a trap for tourists.

Yelp
This is the super cute little bar in Marseilles. It was our first night in France, after flying in to Barcelona and taking the train in. We just wanted a drink and a quick bite. This was perfect. We even tried the signature drink, the 13 coins. One of the ingredients is grappa. It is creamy though. We were leery. Well it was not as bad as it could've been, it did not go down smoothly. As Americans we don't drink a lot of grapa over here so it's a little jet fuel even when mixed with other things. It probably was some of the most palatable grappa drinks I've ever had though. It was a good way to end the evening. The other drinks were amazing. The food was great. We had olives and cheese. We had a couple of other items that I can't recall (prob due to that last drink ) but everything was quick, cheap and great. Very cute little neighborhood hang out.

Yelp
Went on an afternoon during the World Cup so not a lot of restaurants were open. We were pleasantly surprised to find this little cafe. I got the beef tartare and my wife got the fish of the day. The food was excellent. The tartare was spicy and came with a really good salad with a balsamic vinaigrette of some sort. Also came with fries which I did not love but weren't bad. The atmosphere was a bit loud, next to a street but the food was great and the waiter was very kind though we did get passed over when her shift ended and a new waiter came in. Probably biggest reason for the 4 star.

Yelp
After walking up the hill to see the interesting "Visages" or "Faces" exhibition at Centre de la Vieille Charité, I continued my museums tour towards the Villa Méditeranée. On my way, I stopped by at a nice little square to refuel. The location of Bar Des 13 Coins is very nice, despite the occasional "tourist train" passing by. I ordered chicken on bread with cheese and tomatoes. In general, I am not big fan of tomatoes, but together with the herbs this dish was exceptional. So simple, yet so tasty. As I got used to in Marseille, the white wine I had with my lunch was pretty tasty as well. And, the waitress even knew English, which helped in making this meal slightly less complicated than at other places in Marseille. Good food, nice wine, lovely service - Bar Des 13 Coins definitely has all the ingredients to make me happy.

Yelp
Such a cool, well run bar for drinks or food. Service is excellent. We've had the same (pretty, black, young) waitress twice who took very good care of us. First time there were six of us with two kids between lunch and dinner serving but she offered us a huge charcuterie plate for only 14 euro, plus the best sardine dip I've ever had. Yesterday she was just as good and kindly remembered us! Not to mention this place is historic - mentioned in Jean-paul Izzo's marseille trilogy books. A must Panier stop.
