Moody lighting, intimate booths, sexy bar seating, a very long wine list, and the kind of attentiveness that means your glass of water will be refilled instantly (and without your conversation being awkwardly interrupted). It’s in Mayfair, so yes it’s on the pricey side, which is why we’d stick to some nibbles and drinks, some salmon sashimi here, a prawn salad there, and a cheeky pecan praline mille feuille to finish off. "A moody restaurant in Mayfair, Bar De Pres is a great little spot for a date, or intimate catch-up in one of their comfy booths where you can order everything from a pricey california roll or crispy prawn salad, to a pecan praline millefeuille. If you’re not in the mood to fork out the £80 per person price tag that comes with dinner here, we’d suggest getting some seats at the bar and stopping in for an after dinner glass of wine and a dessert to share.
