Nestled in Mayfair, Bar De Pres serves up chic French-Asian fusion cuisine in a cozy atmosphere, perfect for intimate dinners and sweet indulgences.
"From the Mayfair postcode to the impressive marble counter, there is a luxury feel to this first international venture from French celebrity chef Cyril Lignac. Sharing a name with its pre-cursor in Saint-Germain, it also mirrors that restaurant's Japanese-influenced approach – expect maki, sashimi and miso black cod. For the terrific desserts, you travel back to France for classics like mille-feuille, tarte fine and profiteroles." - Michelin Inspector
"This little spot on Albermarle Street has everything you’d need for a successful third date. Moody lighting, intimate booths, sexy bar seating, a very long wine list, and the kind of attentiveness that means your glass of water will be refilled instantly (and without your conversation being awkwardly interrupted). It’s in Mayfair, so yes it’s on the pricey side, which is why we’d stick to some nibbles and drinks, some salmon sashimi here, a prawn salad there, and a cheeky pecan praline mille feuille to finish off. However you choose to play it here, you can be sure that the lighting is enough to secure you a fourth date." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"A moody restaurant in Mayfair, Bar De Pres is a great little spot for a date, or intimate catch-up in one of their comfy booths where you can order everything from a pricey california roll or crispy prawn salad, to a pecan praline millefeuille. If you’re not in the mood to fork out the £80 per person price tag that comes with dinner here, we’d suggest getting some seats at the bar and stopping in for an after dinner glass of wine and a dessert to share. But if you do come here for a meal, know that the salads and sushi rolls are pretty good." - Rianne Shlebak
