"From the Mayfair postcode to the impressive marble counter, there is a luxury feel to this first international venture from French celebrity chef Cyril Lignac. Sharing a name with its pre-cursor in Saint-Germain, it also mirrors that restaurant's Japanese-influenced approach – expect maki, sashimi and miso black cod. For the terrific desserts, you travel back to France for classics like mille-feuille, tarte fine and profiteroles." - Michelin Inspector

Where To Go For A Third Date In London

"This little spot on Albermarle Street has everything you’d need for a successful third date. Moody lighting, intimate booths, sexy bar seating, a very long wine list, and the kind of attentiveness that means your glass of water will be refilled instantly (and without your conversation being awkwardly interrupted). It’s in Mayfair, so yes it’s on the pricey side, which is why we’d stick to some nibbles and drinks, some salmon sashimi here, a prawn salad there, and a cheeky pecan praline mille feuille to finish off. However you choose to play it here, you can be sure that the lighting is enough to secure you a fourth date." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

Bar des Prés - Review - Mayfair - London - The Infatuation

"A moody restaurant in Mayfair, Bar De Pres is a great little spot for a date, or intimate catch-up in one of their comfy booths where you can order everything from a pricey california roll or crispy prawn salad, to a pecan praline millefeuille. If you’re not in the mood to fork out the £80 per person price tag that comes with dinner here, we’d suggest getting some seats at the bar and stopping in for an after dinner glass of wine and a dessert to share. But if you do come here for a meal, know that the salads and sushi rolls are pretty good." - Rianne Shlebak

Came here for our anniversary, not sure of what to expect. Upon reflection it's a great little place where the food is outstanding with the price both a reflection of that and the location. Shout out to the CALIFORNIA selection which was fantastic as was the Sushi Rice. So, if the food is fantastic, what are the negatives? Just two really.. the wine list, whilst extensive, is toppy. There isn't a huge selection under £100 and nothing(white) under £80. If you are happy to spend a few hundred pounds on a bottle, there is plenty to tempt you. Second, the discretionary service charge at 15%(!). I didn't notice it at the time, but the service, whilst attentive, did not equate to that. Would we go again - yes. The food outweighs the other issues. Enjoy!

Bar des Prés is truly a hidden gem in London. From start to finish, the dining experience was outstanding. The food was exceptional – every single dish we ordered was a perfect 10/10, beautifully presented and full of rich flavors. The service was equally impressive, with staff who were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere adds to the whole experience – elegant yet cozy, with a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Definitely not my last time dining here, I can’t wait to come back!

This review is specific to the burger lunch set menu currently being offered (summer 2025). I visited on a Friday for lunch and was seated at the counter. This was facing the sushi bar, so did provide some form of viewing entertainment, although the actual kitchen was in the back and out of view. The place definitely gave off Mayfair vibes with its upmarket decor as well as a crowd mainly comprising men on business lunches. The lunch set menu started with a simple salad which was enjoyable enough albeit something you could make at home without too much difficulty. Things did take a step up from there, the Wagyu smash burger was very nice and I liked that it was cut into four, making it a less messy encounter. The accompanying fries and dip were also very good, and a surprisingly large portion (which I couldn’t finish). The meal concluded with a raspberry eton mess, a light and refreshing end to the meal. Service was quite friendly and things moved at a good pace, perhaps helped by me being one of the first arrivals for lunch. The bill for my solo lunch came to £99 after enjoying a couple of drinks. The burger set menu itself is priced at £38 (plus service), which seemed very reasonable considering the generous quantity of food, along with the fact you could easily spend that on a single item from their a la carte menu. It did feel like quite a bargain within the context of my swanky surroundings, and that pushes them from a 4 to a 5 star overall rating.

Great-quality sashimi and amazing service—kudos to the staff for being so attentive. Highly recommend the mille-feuille. However, seating can be improved. Because I was alone, I was seated at the counter when the restaurant was basically empty. Would have preferred a table even for a limited time window.

Food and services are incredible here! I wasn’t planning on having a large dinner but couldn’t stop myself to try more and more of their amazing dishes. Staff is very attentive and very knowledgeable of their dishes (especial thanks to Laia). Definitely coming back!

The food was great, but unfortunately the attitude of some staff took away from the overall experience.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants! I absolutely love ordering the crunchy crab and avocado galette, salmon tiradito, beef gyoza, crispy rice, spinach salad, yellowtail maki, flamed salmon California and crispy prawn California. I always go to the locations in Paris and so happy to have it here in London🥰 Manuel, the manager is very kind and helpful. 10/10
