I loved this place in Sayulita. The music drew me in multiple nights during my visit and the staff was very cool. Whether watching the band from the upstairs or Cutting a rug on the dance floor below, this was my favorite establishment to hang out in at night.

Good spot if you’re looking for cheap drinks and loud music. They had a band playing while we were there, we enjoyed it. Spent about 380 pesos ($19 USD) on two margaritas and two beers with tip.

Great place for live music in Sayulita! I unfortunately can not remember the name of our bartender that was awesome whenever we went in there. thanks to my bald headed bearded friend!

Great place to dance and get drinks. Cocktails were top notch and bartenders was friendly and funny. Live music on Saturdays with two dance floors. Shots are 2 for 1 and are delicious!

I was told this was the place to be for a good time and a few drinks. The place is a little "rustic" but a good time. The band played cumbias for a few hours with only short breaks in between. If you don't mind being a little sweaty and the smell of weed you will be alright. Casual wear welcome after all it is Sayulita. Ask the beer prices before you order. Different bartenders charge different prices for the same beer. Don't get cheated!

Yelp
Don Pato seems to be the established bar in Sayulita's main town square, and my friends and I went a couple times during a three-night trip. It was a happening spot, but not really my favorite, in part because it made my face bleed (more on that in a sec). YamBak next door was world's better. The advantage here is that Don Pato is huge, with a few spacious levels, the first spilling onto, and the second and third overlooking the square. I enjoyed that view, as well as the general liveliness of the bar. There were a lot of people hanging out, mingling and drinking and dancing. There was live music at times, including a band that played a jazzy cover of the Pink Panther theme song. The drinks were pretty standard--shots and bottled beers and such--and I think I only had one here (our first visit was just a scope-out, our second a deep night outing after several hours next door and in the square). While I waited to order, the bartender dropped a bottle of beer and it shattered dramatically. One little shard made it to my cheek, where it slashed my face a couple inches from my left eye. It was a very shallow cut that didn't even hurt, and that healed quickly (the scratch was barely noticeable even the next day), but it did bleed for a while. Not a big deal, but I was surprised when the bar charged me for my one beer. It was like $2 or whatever, not worth arguing, but like, come on, if there's ever a time to comp someone a cheap drink, it's probably when she's bleeding before your eyes. Anyway, I still had a good time, and my beer (I forget what it was, but I hadn't had it before) was refreshing and tasty, totally worth a couple bucks. I don't know that Don Pato is a great drinking destination, but it's worth checking out if you're already out in Sayulita. Flying glass aside, it couldn't hurt.

Yelp
Don Pato is the place to be if you're looking for a fun lively atmosphere with strong drinks and a consistent live band. We came to Don Pato's on our first night here and had a lovely night in their upstairs area. The drinks were strong and the crowd was outgoing and friendly. We made some quick friends when we initially sat down and then spent the rest of the night dancing to their cover band - which did an impressive job of covering everything from the Rolling Stones, to Radiohead, and Bob Marley. There was a nice and relaxed vibe throughout Don Pato and the band seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Both are usually strong indicators that you're in a well run place. Trust.

Yelp
Okay bar. Okay food. Jam band live music. Terrible and rude service. Also least favorite crowd in town.

Yelp
Don Pato is a great spot place to watch live music, rub elbows and dance with the locals, and enjoy what Sayulita is all about. Be careful not to get to liquored up - navigating the narrow spiral staircase is a little difficult after a few too many tequilas

Yelp
My wife and I's FAVORITE spot to get drinks and have a good time in Sayulita! We started visiting Bar Don Pato's back in when it first opened and became friends with Owner, Don Pato. He's a great guy and I'm always more than happy to see him and support his business! The bar, which is located right downtown next to the square, is an awesome, 2 or 3 story boozy fun land with live bands, DJS, and excellent vibes! Its got a really great view of the town on one side and the ocean on the other! Basically, it kicks ass! If you pop in and see Pato, tell him Jarrod and Emily sent you!

Yelp
Cantus Eterna was a most spectacular set here on Friday July 10th. Bar had a cool upstairs atmosphere to it. Kinda pirate status I liked it.
