This place is an institution in São Paulo. Open 24 hours it is great for late night dining. A huge selection of sandwiches but they are renowned for their Lanches Pernil (slow roasted pork sandwich) which you have to try. This place can be bumping even at 3AM. Just grab a seat and someone will bring you a menu, order and the food will arrive quickly. I visited a couple times because it was close to where I was staying. I only tried the Lanches Pernil, once with the queijo Minas and once plain. One thing I want to highlight is the homemade hot sauce. It takes the sandwiches to the next level.

This place was recommended by several local friends as a can't miss place while I was in Sao Paulo so I went to visit. It's a very iconic spot near downtown, (caution and common sense is advised) nothing fancy, you go for the food and the ambiance, very colorful characters as well as the locals come here to eat, it opens 24 hrs. I had the pork sandwich with pineapple and it was exquisite, washed down with a local cold beer, exactly what I was looking for. I definitely recommend the experience if you are ever visiting.

This spot is a São Paulo institution, renowned for its pork sandwich. The quality can vary depending on the cut of pork you get—sometimes it’s absolutely delicious, other times it falls short. While the pernil is flavorful, it feels a bit overpriced. Overall, the place may be somewhat overhyped, much like other attractions in São Paulo.

Google
Amazing experience, 24 hours, they are not a fancy restaurant that will baby you... no, find a place at the balcony order your food and it will come fast, fresh and delicious. Expect that and you won't regret. Now if you are looking for a fancy location in a fancy neighborhood, then go somewhere else.

If you are visiting São Paulo you need to go here. The sandwiches are soooo good and the waiters are nice. This will be the first place I come back to when I return to São Paulo.

Really delicious pork sandwiches with the option of adding cheese. These sandwiches are packed with meat and you could even share between two they are that big. The atmosphere is brimming with life and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend when in São Paulo.

Yelp
Bar e Lanches Esradao is a famous restaurant in Sao Paulo. Located in downtown, this casual diner is open 24/7. They were listed in my guide book so we made our way here after some sightseeing in the area. Once you arrive, sit wherever you'd like and your waiter will bring some menus to you. I started off with an acai juice. Acai is from Brazil so that was a no-brainer. From there, I went with the pork (pernil) sandwich which is their claim to fame. This sandwich is cut in two and is served on flaky bread stuffed with pork, sliced thin, and a medley of veggies/sauce. Since the veggies aren't listed on the menu, I can't tell you what they are but make sure to ask when you're there. The food comes out fast at this quick-service restaurant and you pay at the counter after you're done eating. It's an institution so check it out next when you're exploring downtown Sao Paulo!

Yelp
And from the Book of Pork- on the 8th day there was Bar e Lanches Estadão... lemme just say that if this place were in NYC there would be a stool with my name on it. Just watching the staff prepare the pork is worth the price of admission... My only regret... *only* regret, is that I didn't know how to ask for more pork skin on my sandwich... I really wanted that crispy skin. Otherwise- I think about that sandwich every day...

Yelp
Best little Lanches house in Sao Paulo! Ate here several times while staying in the downtown area, worth a walk even if you aren't staying next door. Great sandwiches, etc. One of the only places I was actually able to find Acai in Sao Paulo, so don't miss the Acai juice, con Orange Juice. Very dependable, quality food, friendly staff. Highly recommended given the highly variable quality of this kind of place.

Yelp
I came here because I had the drunchies. Since this place is open during nocturnal hours, it was my only real opportunity to get some food. I got their beef sandwich with a side of fries. You must order at the register first. Anyhow, the sandwich was difficult to eat because it was so bland and dry. Maybe I ordered the wrong sandwich because other people's dishes certainty looked more appetizing. The fries were decent with the ketchup. At least they monitor their ketchup and mustard bottles for expiration. Open 24/7

Yelp
sanduíche de pernil is so amazing to eat. You must try if you have not been. It is the most tasty especially with some garlic sauce. Ask for extra meat!

Yelp
I love this spot. It's open late. It's casual. You can eat standing, always crowded. A good spot to get something quick in the day, and after a night out of drinking - it's the perfect place to go after. I love the coxhina de frango. It's a chicken leg, wrapped in mashed potatoes, and deep fried in bread crumbs. A hand held meal or snack. Sooooo good. And the sanduíche de pernil...amazing. This spot is good even when you're sober, and they're quick!

Yelp
Truly amazing place. Fresh delicious food, fair prices, friendly service. Serve drinks. And open 24/7. What more can you ask for?

Yelp
I've been there since I was a child, when my father took me to work or my mother took me to the dentist on Thursday. The traditional ham sandwich is the star of the house. I have tried variations for a long time the years, my favorite is with provolone cheese.

Yelp
If you want a satisfying meal and can't decide on what to get, order the platô do dia. Hits the spot! This location is open 24/7 except for Christmas and it is ALWAYS packed. You can pick from a variety of decent ready to eat salgadinhas or wait 10 minutes for your plate to be made and served.
