El Estrecho is a true hidden gem that captures the heart of traditional Spanish cuisine. Run by the same family for three generations, you can feel the warmth and pride in every detail—from the welcoming service to the delicious, home-style dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, just like stepping into a classic local tavern. Every plate we tried was full of flavor and made with love—especially the tapas, which were outstanding. If you’re looking for a place that offers a genuine taste of Spain with a personal touch, El Estrecho is it. Highly recommended!

Really great place for typical food, located in some really narrow street, gives great feeling of authencity. The only thing that put it little down was huge tourist groups of Americans:) Service is fine and attentive. They were out of sardines but anchives did its job.

A lovely spot tucked away on a charming street. We were lucky to get the only outdoor table. The service was genuinely attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The chorizo (Spanish sausage) is an absolute must, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The patatas bravas, however, were a bit disappointing for the price, just bland.

Excellent find…recommended by a local shop keeper. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Tapas were good and everyone in the restaurant was having a great time. Highly recommend when in Marbella.

A cozy and authentic tapas bar. Service-minded staff, good music at a suitable volume. Had Plato el dia and got a big plate which was very good👌

Excellent service welcoming us to this lovely traditional place. We had nice tapas, timely delivered to the table following our eating pace. Our choices from the menu were: ensaladilla rusa, albondigas caseras, boquerones fritos, calamares fritos, patatas bravas and croquettes. Thanks for the great experience! We will be back!

Absolutely loved this place. I have been living near Marbella for two years now, and cant believe it took us this long to find it. Service was amazing. Some of the best tapas we have had. Really looking forward to going back! Our favorite dishes were, chorizo, chicken livers, and the octopus salad were amazing. Even the grilled pepper which is normally quite “basic” was particularly good! We will definitely be back soon!

Food was good but the portions were a bit small. But other than that very nice place, on a great narrow street.

Yelp
This place is great. Yelp ratings seem unusually low compared to google and trip advisor. Service was astounding. Quick and attentive even though it was packed. They went out of their way to get us a table even though they were totally booked. Great food.

Yelp
This place was just ok. We had a variety of tapas and the sangria. At the door we saw a bunch of trip advisor badges so we thought it would be good but we were a bit disappointed. The food was just ordinary.

Yelp
Great traditional food and tapas. I had my first taste of boquerones here! I liked the marinated one better than fried but a must try. And shrimp pil pil! Omg. I wish they had outdoor seating but it's worth the authentic food. It's in a little alley and hard to find but delish

Yelp
This place was great. It is quite hidden but we searched for it after seeing how highly rated it was on trip advisor for tapas. We were not disappointed. It's a tiny place with great and friendly service. I loved everything we ordered, which included the meatballs, Pork, sausage, tomato salad, croquettes, and a spinach and chick pea special. We had about 7 orders of tapas plus a bottle of wine and another drink and the total was $37 euro! Great experience.

Yelp
Ordinary and basic food. The "1 Racion" which is the big portion was little food. We had the fish with oregano and it tasted too much like oregano and lime (This was a good portion of food but it's just the fish no sides). The Slow Braised Pork with Fries was a small amount of food. They put the fries on the bottom and the pork with sauce on the top so the fries get soggy.

Yelp
Lovely cafe that serves traditional Spanish tapas. Wonderful food. Try the meatball tapas and red pepper salad.
