Google
What a great night we had at Fisk ! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The kitchen is standing in the middle of the restaurant and I couldn’t keep my eyes off it ! The food was great, I liked every dish. An emphasis on the eggplant, the texture was so soft. The squid was cooked perfectly just like the sea bass on the green egg 👌 The pistachio dessert brought me back to Middle East ! Great address and can’t wait to come back !

Google
Absolutely amazing. The food was exceptionally delicious. Everything was well-balanced, fresh and exciting. Tastes and ingredients that we're somewhat new to us. We had the set menu and was surprised to see how good the value for money was. We had 5 servings, and they were all solid. Lovely experience. Will definitely come back next time we're in Amsterdam.

Google
Very reasonable dining experience. Came in on a slow day but despite only having one server, service was friendly and professional. Portions are quite small so it's almost tapas style, but we ordered starchy sides of sweet potato which was delicious. I'll come again.

Google
Salty food & horrible host The menu looked awesome. But unfortunately in the end our food turned out very very very salty. Not just one dish, but the scallops, the tenderloin and also the polenta chips (and another one I forgot) all tasted like the salt jar accidentally fell on to the dishes and nobody in the kitchen noticed. Believe me, I love salty food: pour sriracha & soy sauce on top of everything. The beetroot salad though, was great! That one was not salty 🥸 The reason that I’m giving Fisk only one star is not only due to the saltiness of food. We had a time slot I think for around two hours for dinner and we were not even done, but basically already sent away. I asked whether we can still have a dessert. The girl literally told us: no you have to go now. Nothing like: there are guests waiting for this table, would be great if they could get a spot (there was no one waiting yet). Nope, just straight up: you have to go, only place I have for you to sit now is outside (on the terrace). Very unfortunate, because the atmosphere looked super cozy. Really expected to love it, cause it seems right up my alley (and I really like Bardak as well).

Google
Great restaurant for sea food. Medium portions for a good price. The service was on point and the dishes were served as they were made. The cocktails were well though out and delicious! We had a great experience with a large group and the staff was very friendly.

Google
One of the best experiences in a long time. The staff is so genuine. I hung out with these guys and saw them prep spoke to them. The manager made great drink recommensations. And then we all ordered the sampler plates. The fish was delicious. The chicken liver (foie gras of the poor man) was delish! I live to experience places like this. This was a true gem. The cook even gave me a hug next day I went to Taste of Amsterdam. I wish all the luck in the world to this place. Hope these guys touch more hearts and make more people happy. If you are in town DO NOT miss this place.

Google
Read good reviews and decided to try this place out. Service was very attentive and friendly. Lovely cozy atmosphere. Being a vegetarian I had a plenty of delicious options! The homemade bread was to die for, we had to ask for another portion 🤤 Good Israeli wine too!

The food here was so unique and healthy! (At least I felt healthy!) it’s somehow Jerusalem fusion-ed. Love the squid and sweet potato fries! All the seafood they served were very very fresh. As a gin lover, I especially have to mention that they have quite a collection of gins from all over the world. Super friendly staffs. And great dining atmosphere. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner!

Yelp
May 2022 Friday @6:15P Unique Israeli dishes, tapas style Charred Pumpkin and Carrot - This dish was a little disappointing. There was no char as listed, seemed like peeled strips of raw carrot and pumpkin on top of labneh (yogurt), sunflower seeds and sliced red chilies. Grilled Octopus - The octopus was cooked nicely, my favorite dish Rolled Shrimp Cabbage - Looks unassuming with mild delicate flavors but I kept wanting more after each bite. Sea Bream Filet - Small portion but tasty dish Israeli Salad - Fresh, tasty, healthy Polenta Fries w/Tahini Dip - Must order at all costs Dessert: Milfey Malabi - Puff pastry with malabi cream (rose water based), raspberry jam, pistachios. Light, fluffy, delicious pillows. Life changing. Overall an interesting and tasty experience. Reservations strongly recommended.

Yelp
Soo good! The decor and music is a little unique. Ignore the fishing poles on the side of the wall between you and your date because good food and drinks are coming. My partner loved their "mint tulip. The food was so healthy, flavorful. Reservations are a must as the place was totally packed on a week day. I noticed that lots of the restaurants in Amsterdam had an open kitchen concept which allowed you to see them cooking and plating. It was really impressive and fun to watch. You could tell everyone took great pride in putting out such great food and drinks.

Yelp
Came here on a locals recommendation! Definitely the best food we had on our trip here.

Yelp
Based on older reviews, it seems like this place used to be great. Came here on a Thursday evening exactly at open with a reservation. Got a couple drinks, a bottle of water, and two main dishes with a side salad to share (between 2). Was not expecting to be sprayed with a water hose in the face by the weirdly energetic (?) bartender while trying to converse with my partner, but hey, c'est la vie! Didn't bother me until I realized he, as well as any other staff present and aware, didn't apologize AT ALL. Also had to pull the server aside after ~15 mins of waiting on our water in order to have a sip before we left. My food was bland and overpriced, with the shrimp dish having (3!) pieces of shrimp surrounded by mussels. I was told it included mussels today as a special but I was expecting it to be at least half shrimp given it is a ...shrimp.... dish. The €18 shrimp dish left me starving and we stopped at a ramen spot afterwards which offered better service and better food, for less than half the price and sprayed fluids. Wish I could have that hour of my life back!

Yelp
Best food we had in Amsterdam. Modern fish dishes with an Israeli twist. Sit at the counter and watch the chef prepare your food. The sea-theme decor is very creative without being cheesy. Highly recommended! Gin Mare Cocktail - 4.5* Scallops with Mushrooms and Polenta Foam - 4.5* Grilled Sea Bass with Fennel - 5* Knafeh Ricotta/Goat Cheese, Kadaif, and Toasted Seeds - 5* Malabi with Foam Custard, Rosewater, Coconut and Pistachios - 5*

Yelp
Oh my god, what a gem! Food is out of this world, service is one of a kind. Do yourself a favor and come eat at Bar Fisk.

Yelp
Adventurous meets yummy. My husband and I loved the overall experience we had at Bar Fisk. The flavors covered my palette like a warm blanket on a cold winters night and danced around in my mind for the remainder of our trip. The smoked trout was my favorite and pretty much everything we nibbled on after. Take your friend, take your lover, take someone now and go enjoy this delightful place. I didn't even have time to snap a photo of my smoked trout because it was just that good.

Yelp
This place has delicious food! I normally don't like "bar" food, but this is cooked to order gourmet quality food. The service is great also.

Yelp
My fave in Amsterdam! Really nice cocktails, friendly staff, really good food- simple, made with fresh ingredients, good taste with a little twist. Will certainly go again!

Yelp
Bar Fisk represents the best in Amsterdam dining: casual vibe, amazing food. My friend and I sat at the bar and had a terrific experience. The servers and cooks were almost like family by the end of the evening. Food fantastic. Light and fresh with excellent flavors. Big shout out to the shrimp falafel (who woulda thought?), the polenta chips, and the scallops. The lamb chops were perfectly prepared. The bread is unbelievable and served with some mouthwatering dipping sauces. The theme is Tel Aviv beach. Atmosphere is lively with open kitchen and high top tables. Music is hip middle eastern dance. Looks like there is a large table in the back for bigger parties. High value for your Euro here.

Yelp
I came into Bar Fisk on a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and engaging! The cocktails at this place are really good. Not to mention, the mussels were very tasty. I will be visiting again!!!

Yelp
This spot has excellent seafood and really good drinks. They serve small plates, so go here with a crew and an appetite. Everything we ordered was very unique and tasted excellent. Their raw oysters were fresh and served ice cold. I was a huge fan of the grilled octopus and the calamari shwarma. Both were cooked to perfection and seasoned really well. They also have some delicious cocktails on their menu. Overall this was an excellent meal from start to finish.

Yelp
Super nice place, friendly service, cute atmosphere and delicious food. Will be back for sure. (I also assume that you are aware that fisk means fish, hence if you're not a seafood lover, I'd suggest you skip this one)

Yelp
Excellent Israeli small plates, warm friendly service and delicious food. My favorites were the sea bass and the duck but truthfully the whole meal was

Yelp
We came on Monday and had the special degustation menu. The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Yelp
Hands down the best food I had in Amsterdam paired with the best and most creative cocktails. I was craving fish and I left craving the food I just ate. Next time I visit, I will definitely go out of my way to make a stop here! Highly recommend the "It's about thyme" and the "Nordes Atlantic" gin and tonic.

Yelp
Best food! Haute cuisine in a super relaxed setting. Probably my favorite restaurant of the year. And their cocktails are to die for.

Yelp
Fish & drinks bar. Beautiful small plates of fish. Loved the calamari with beetroot salad & the corvina tartar. Just opened in May '17. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Perfect first dinner upon arriving in Amsterdam. Cocktails and food were outstanding. Service was great. Atmosphere was great.

Yelp
Wow! If you're in Amsterdam YOU. MUST. DINE. HERE. My fave was the scallop and my dates was the sea bass or should we say sea bad ass! Yeah I said it. Drinks were a lil weak but I think I'm just used to Yankee style with a proper wrist pour. We LOVED sitting at the bar as we were able to watch the chefs create their magic. Super friendly staff.

Yelp
Bar Fisk is in the de Pijp district where all of the tasty food seems to be located. As usual, we ordered a ton to try almost everything: Grilled shrimp cocktail (tasty in a goblet but nothing extraordinary) Courgette spagetthi (surprisingly very, very tasty and creamy vegetarian zucchini noodles--so good we ordered another portion), Kubaniah-beef tartare, flavorful bites; Whole sea bass served whole so you have to debone it yourself (perfectly cooked, they sell a lot of them, but we lamented about the small bones-watch out, and ask for a sharper knife to debone it properly yourself! the only reason we gave it 4 stars not 5); Steak bavette, a small portion, perfectly seasoned and juicy medium rare; Jerusalem bread, nice portion with savory dips, although everyone else ordered polenta chips which resembled toasted pita chips with dip (we will have to get that next time); Spring chicken--again a small portion but moist flavorful and well seasoned. We recommend this restaurant, but it's a small space so be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
This place has some work to do. They had run out of cod and herring (in Amsterdam!) and their oysters tasted like they were raised in the Rotterdam harbor. We will probably find tar in the toilet bowl tomorrow. The waitress was too busy flirting with the bartender to check on us. She seemed genuinely happy with her and the place's performance though. Nonetheless people were pleasant, just not trying too hard.
