Bar Harbor Ale House

Amazing fish and chips, batter light as air 🤩 Price a little steep (fish & chip is $30 before tax) Friendly and attentive staff. Great option for a quick bite and beer off the cruise. (Better quality than the buffets! 😝)

Great place to have a drink or too. The food looked great but didn’t have enough time to sit for a meal. Tried a few local beers that exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Worth the pop in for a draft.

Review is only for the drinks as their kitchen was closed when we went here. The bartender was friendly and knew his stuff! We had one of the whiskey flights (all were good) as well as some beer! We had the Brokentooth Apple, Bawden Street Mark 5, Gummi Bear Trippel and all were pretty solid. Very close to the cruise ship so all we had to do was drink until we had to hop back on!

VERY expensive for what you get. For $30, I expected more from the fish and chips. Food was nothing to write home about. The menu was nothing unique, either. We only ate here because we were incredibly hungry and it was close to our ship. We were really hoping to have more legit Alaskan choices, but it was generic, EXPENSIVE bar menu items. Definitely a cruise ship tourist trap. The cider was delicious. The gummy bear beer was gross and expensive. It was really bitter and was $10 for a pint that I didn't even finish. If I ever find myself in Ketchikan again, I will be going elsewhere.

Stopped by for lunch, first time in Ketchikan. Right of the bat, the staff is great and very friendly. I got Shrimp and Halibut tacos in fried tortillas and local oysters. Oysters were awesome, tasted fresh and tabasco+vinegar added a nice balance to the kelp pickles. Now the tacos.... Once again compliments to the chef that came up with that idea, because those were awesome! Never seen anything like this! Nice and crunchy outside and had nice and juicy halibut on the inside, which went well with the salsa and lime! Definitely would visit again!

First meal ever in Ketchikan, or the state of Alaska for that matter, recommended by my Airbnb hosts. The food was delicious, the service (Sarah M) prompt, and the portion very filling. I had the ale house burger with mac n cheese and lemonade (I do not drink, but heard nothing but good things from my Airbnb hosts about the alcoholic selection.)

Good food, great location. Nice kids meal got fruit to go with it. Large selection of beer. Pick 3 meat platter was very large, worked great for two people.

First time eating at Bar Harbor Ale House. It was a wonderful experience. Perfect portions of Dungeness Crab, fully loaded (real) smashed potatoes, two generous sized smoked pork chops on a bed of applesauce and a pickled salad. Not to mention the friendly staff, clean and fun atmosphere. Plus no contact delivery and curbside pickup. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
