We stayed during the first weekend in November, and even though a pretty major winter storm hit the area, our stay was wonderful. The hotel itself reminded me of Newhart or Murder, She Wrote in the best way. The staff was so polite, and the location was perfect for walking around downtown (if there hadn't been sleet).
Our room was on the 4th floor in the corner, and it was very spacious. We had a king-sized bed, dresser, TV hutch, two end tables, a table with two chairs, and even a ceiling fan. The bed was comfy, and the pillows were surprisingly firm - not like your usual hotel pillows. The shower had great pressure, and I appreciated the free WiFi and continental breakfast, which was pretty massive with coffee, all kinds of juices, muffins, cereal, waffles, pastries, fruit, and more! It's served from 6:30-10:30 a.m.
A quick recommendation - bring your own toiletries. As a light packer, I usually forgo my own and hope for the best at the hotel. Our bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap. The shampoo and conditioner were pretty darn terrible - I have shoulder-length hair, and I had to use almost the whole bottle to even get it to lather, and the conditioner came out like water. There is a hair dryer in the room, but it's your standard wall-attached hair dryer with a big, circular nozzle.
All in all, a fantastic stay for only $106/night!
