BAR KAGE

Very nice intimate bar with a very wide selection of whiskies. Service was really good and they brought out the bottles from the brands I like and also suggested some whiskies to try base on my tastes. A very fine place to have the finest whiskies they offer.

If you’re in Tokyo and appreciate fine whisky, Bar Kage is the place to be. Tucked away underground, this intimate spot houses an incredible selection of rare, limited-release whiskies. From Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu to Kanosuke, and even some old bottling Springbank, Kage has something that will absolutely blow you away. You’ll be amazed by just how much whisky is packed into this bar – truly something for everyone. The atmosphere is perfect for an evening of discovery, and if whisky isn’t everyone’s first choice, rest assured their cocktails are just as exceptional. The team at Kage are true artists, crafting each drink with precision and creativity. Bar Kage is a hidden gem that I recommend above all others in Tokyo. If you can only make it to one whisky bar, make it this one. Every visit leaves me more impressed – it’s a must for any whisky lover!

Great small bar in a basement in Ginza near the station. The owner is very passionate and has a great selection of especially Chichibu single malt whisky. They don’t really speak English but will do their best if you are polite. We had a great experience and we got some amazing whisky’s at a very fair price.

Great place to get whisky - they are specialized in the Ichiro brand, hard to find outside of Japan. The bartender is basically an encyclopedia, and is willing to share his passion with you. Chill vibes and nice setting.

This place is an absolute treasure of great single casks and after a short period of confusion we all got on the same page about what I was looking for. It was great to chat with Takeshi about some of his casks, or casks his friends had bottled, and whisky in general. My partner, although not a whisky drinkler also thoroughly enjoyed her cocktails. As an english speaker, Takeshi tries his absolute hardest and Mitsue helps out a lot. Which is fantastic! Well worth a visit.

If you're a Chichibu whisky fan, this is a must go. The owner, Kage-San, has a huge selection of Chichibu whisky. His other Japanese whiskey and Scotch selection are great as well. Him and his assistant or wife (I'm not sure) speak decent English. It wont be a problem to communicate with them. You can order a full or half dram and they come in very good prices. A bar I'll return to.

Fine whisky, nice staff, great area. Simple, friendly but sophisticated taste.
