Fantastic raciónes - maybe the best morcilla on the planet, but the borquerones and bravas would take some serious beating, too. I don't know what they're feeding the local sheep around here, but wow the Sierra de Albarracín queso was the best cheese we'd yet had in España, and we are big fans of cheese, so that's some competition (and also a humongous serving too!). Then - and trust me on this - order the manitas de cerdo. Words are not adequate. Eat this. For the love of all that is good.
Host was cheerful and genial despite being rushed off his feet, and found time to make jokes with us in our mediocre Spanish. We felt lucky to have stumbled into a little bar where the locals packed in for a great feed and enthusiastically cheerful atmosphere. This was one of the highlights of our trip to this gloriously beautiful little town, criminally overlooked on many itineraries. Albarracín is an essential stop on any visit to Spain that hopes to feel a sense of true local flavor, and you won't find a better place for dinner than this. If I could give them six stars, I would.
