Buzzing tapas bar full of locals and tourists alike. Swift friendly service, amazingly good value tapas and all delicious. Washed down with glass of sherry of course 👌

Best breakfast in town! Beautiful place with the big old city wall in the back. Great employees, friendly and quick, and the best price/quality ratio!

Took refuge here from a downpour. So glad we did. What a lovely place to spend an hour or so watching the people of Jerez go about their business. We only had drinks, but we were greeted very warmly, as was everyone else in there. My coffee was great. Just what I needed. All the food looked good and I wish we had time to try it. Thanks!

Famous historic place that was packed in the morning, waiter was very nice about getting me tostada's and coffee. The locals around me were very friendly in helping explain what a tostada's were. Really cool atmosphere!

While spending two weeks in Andalucía, we had tostada con tomate almost every day and I have to say this was probably the best place we had. Great service, great prices, it gets very busy. Lovely local place for breakfast

The coffee is some of the best I've had in Jerez, the pan de campo is legit, and service is friendly. Tapas were fine.
Has the feel of a neighborhood staple, but would also be a worthwhile visit for tourists because of the historic decor if you want to sit inside.
The worst part about this place is the noise from incessant construction across the street and buses flying by every few minutes.

The calamari tapa was fade and soggy. Croquettes seemed stones. They can do better. As British, the glass of beer was very small and half of it was plenty of foam.

I'm here now! And have just read Julliard Lin's review. And completely agree with it! Lovely authentic food from a local neighbourhood place (just away from the main tourist traps!). Friendly quick service at non-inflated prices. Wasn't planning to go inside but will do so now given the other reviews..... !

Old school tapas, bullfight bar.
I think every visit to Jerez should have at least one visit to La Moderna. It's old school, it's been there forever, all the locals go. Tapas are not particularly memorable but dirt cheap... all under €2.00.
Go for the feeling of timelessness, the bullfight photos, the oldtimers chatting at the bar. Great place.
