"Inventive Cocktails in a Posh Setting The landmark 1928 Prince de Galles hotel on Avenue George V is the setting for this plush Art Deco bar, where the cocktails are pricey (at around 18 to 24 euro) but beautifully executed. You can go for a classic, but the signature concoctions are way more fun. Take, say, the bar's version of a mojito: substituting gin—infused with peaches and ginger—for rum, it's served with sprigs of Thai basil in place of mint. For the teetotaler, there's a selection of fresh-squeezed, nonalcoholic juice cocktails."

By far....the best cocktail experience of my life took place in this fantastic setting. The Prince de Galles, hotel spectacular and part of the Marriott's luxury collection hotel, have invited me for an evening at their Bar les heures. As much as I was expecting the famous hotel on the George V Avenue to be the state of the art in sophistication and luxury, I was pleased to find the exact same sophistication within the cocktail bar, with just a touch more ambiance. Cocktail specialist and head bartender Florian Thireau knows how to share his passion and expertise through all the precise and delicious cocktail options which he developed himself. Just to give an idea, one cocktail can take up to 43 hours to elaborate and get to perfection. Nothing is left to luck, everything is thought out, thought through, tested. The terroir of the spirits, the quality of the ingredients, the chemistry of the textures, the temperatures of service... ". His enthusiasm and passion is amazing and discussing with him made the whole experience way more sensible. Since, he joined the team at Bar les heures, it's been a rejuvenated breath of fresh air. You'll now find first class cocktails based on classics but with intense preciseness. His favourite: Tonka Sazerac, with the almond wire. A blend that required several weeks of tastings and readjustments, calculations and experiments. My favorites: Divine femme (modified suze, orange bitters, champagne) and the Noirs velours (Wyborowa, coffee liqueur, cold brew coffee, black cardamone. Both were divine. Can I give more than 5*?

Just paid 27 Euro for a small coffee and orange juice to go. Unfortunately they don't tell you that you can't buy these items alacarte. They will instead charge for a complete breakfast. No help from the manager. That's the price. There is a broken service element here for hotel customers looking for a quick coffee to take away.

Worst afternoon tea experience ever with this level of restaurant. 1. Every pastry with fruit stuffing tastes not fresh, as if they've been kept in the fridge for a while. The same with the tuna stuffing puff. U can even taste a bit rottenness from the kiwi one. 2. I notified the waitress that a fly was on my puff. She brought the plate away, and came with another plate with similar presentation. Yes I'm a bit suspecious, but a better solution shud be leave the original plate on my table until a new plate is served. 3. Service was horrible. 3-4 waiters and waitresses were all at the counter matching bills with cash drawer. They wudn't notice ur finishing your plate. Being a traveller who has full day schedule, i had to wave to get their attention. Yes, this is rude, but i had no other choice. Being a SPG gold membership card holder, i wud always choose SPG over other ones, but honestly, the le cinq next door at Four Seasons is way better! U should have done better than this, Price de Galles.
